You are doing such a great job dyeing your yarn! I’ve watched you since the beginning when you are just starting to knit, and I remember how impressed I was with how you just jumped right in and knit it all without fear. Now, look at you! What a lady you are! I watch Kay Jones from the Bakery Bears dye her yarn, and I think I’d like to try, but I can’t find neither the nerve nor the energy. In fact, as I watch your video, I am in quarantine from somehow getting “The Virus”. Fully faxed and double boosted finds me just bored and low on energy. I was, frankly, surprised to be even positive…except for the headache, sore throat, horrid cough and tiredness of two days. Anyway, I love your enthusiasm! You certainly have been a role model to me for what an adventurous knitter truly is! I wish you’d pop on each week and just chat, sharing your successes and your oops . I would love to listen to and learn from it all. I would have loved to have joined your zoom, but sadly, am in no way zoom appearance ready for that. But enjoy. Looking forward to your next visit! Happy your daughter will be coming home! Enjoy her! ❤Cindi
Your new blue hat goes great with your pretty blue eyes. Your yarn dying is going really good. The gradients are sooo good. I use 9-inch needles for all of my socks, (I have tried other methods). I start the toe on long circulars using a Turkish Cast on ( found a really good tutorial for this :Turkish Cast On For Toe Up Socks by Relatively Crafty, make sure to watch the whole video, her method of using yarn overs for the toe is great.) then use my 9-inch to the heel, then separate half the stitches to a dpn and knit a Fish Lips Kiss using the dpn's, then finish with the 9-inch. I know it sounds like a lot of needle changes, but it has made my sock knitting so much more enjoyable. I really enjoy your podcast, you are a lot of fun. I can't wait to see how your shawl turns out. Take care.
Hey, there, love the purple sock yarn. I like everything purple, so it's a winner in my books. Re. afterthought heels, it may be one of the reasons you don't finish a pair. It looks finished but it isn't. The Fish Lips Kiss heel is super easy (only short rows without doing a gusset) and fast and you have a finished sock. Just sayin' . Good luck on the shawl.
Love a fun quick episode and it's great to see the fun you're having with your dyeing experiments. Sorry I couldn't make it to the zoom meet up but hopefully next time.
It’s so cool that you are dyeing yarn! And it’s beautiful. A trick I use when knitting socks or mittens is to do them at the same time. I have 2 sets of needles and 2 balls of yarn so knit on one sock for a few rows then set that down and pick up the other to knit some rows. End up with a pair done at roughly the same time. 😊
I totally agree with accidental circus vibes on knits. My last Steven West Mystery shawl gave off big top vibes to be when done. But none of us knew what it would look like in the end and especially with a West Knit I figured go big with the colors it will be great. Not so much. Those yarns you dyed look great!
You're doing so well with your yarn dyeing! I'm almost finished knitting Amelia The Duck from the Knitted Animal Friends book, for my granddaughter's first birthday this week. My other son's young children were here the other day and when they saw the duck they asked if I'd make them some animals for Christmas! I love that I have a knit-worthy family😁
HI Karen! I’ve watched your TikToks - they’re fun! TikTok is just a different universe. When pandemic shutdown started, it became a huge time suck, mind-numbing entertainment, so last year I stopped cold turkey. When I returned a few weeks ago to find your TikToks, my For Your page was vile! Sheesh. Either the algorithm forgot me and played to the lowest common denominator, or it was punishing me for my absence! But I re-habilitated it and now am training myself to take it in small doses, so far, so good!
Hi! I love your dyed yarn and I'm so sorry I missed your Zoom! All of your colors turn out so pretty and very inspiring as I would love to try to dye yarn but scared! I'm also taking part of the #ATPSKAL so I'll see you there as well! Hugs from Texas!
Love the start of your Surge. You said you wanted to cast on this pattern and I thought you were just being nice. I just got some merino/yak, oh so soft yarn, for The Void that you made on an earlier podcast. Can’t wait to CO! I was so happy to see you had another episode up!!!!
Your dyed sock yarn reminds me a colorway called Sexy Cowboy 🤠 By Trilogy yarns...I knit some DK socks with black contrast yarn, love them, so does my SIL who received them as a gift. MCN base
Love that purple sock yarn! You make me smile as you go through your dyeing adventures!
I like it more the more I knit with it. The dyeing has been an adventure for sure. I never know where I'm going to end up! thanks for watching.
Watching a few oldies I haven’t seen…, and wow! The Weavin Stephen!! Thanks, Karen! Your pods are so fun!

The purple sock yarn is gorgeous….more mistakes like that! Great episode! 😊 🧶
It is growing on me the more I knit with it. Thanks for watching!

Yarns you've dyed have worked really well x
It has been a lot of fun seeing how they knit up. Thanks for watching!
Love the colors you are making! I just started the Twinette shawl for the mail.

That is such an adorable pattern! I am sure the kids would love to have it. Thanks for watching!
Your dyed yarn is beautiful, keep at it. ☘
Thanks! It is a lot of fun experimenting. I just need to knit faster to use some of it up!

Haha - glad you like them. TikTok is a weird place. Now my FYP is all yarn and cute animals, but at first it was crazy!

love the projects and the dyeing
Thanks! Always good to see you
Your dyed yarn is beautiful!
Thank you! Most of it has been a series of happy accidents, but I have really enjoyed seeing how the yarn turns out. Thanks for watching!
Hi love your hand dyed yarn. It motivates me also to give it a try.
You should definitely try it! I am surprised that I have enjoyed it as much as I have. Thanks for watching
Cheers for more socks!
I haven't knit socks in ages! It is nice to get back to it. Thanks for watching!
Love your podcast 😍👍
I'm so glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
Love the start of your Surge. You said you wanted to cast on this pattern and I thought you were just being nice. I just got some merino/yak, oh so soft yarn, for The Void that you made on an earlier podcast. Can’t wait to CO! I was so happy to see you had another episode up!!!!
Thanks so much for the suggestion! It’s a really fun knit
@@knotfancyknitter thank you for showing such a pretty The Void. This time for me and not a gift.
Loving your shawl. Think we have mutual appreciation of each other 💛💛
