Thank you for podcasting even when you are not feeling well! I believe the podcaster Knitty Natty will be at the Arkansas Yarn Retreat, and she has several yarn cozy patterns to keep your center pull ball neatly contained.

My grandfather’s health failed in his late4 years (died at 91). My mother and her sisters took turns caring for him. It involved many hours of idle time. My mother did a lot of crochet during this time. She made a bedspread for me using thread. It is so precious to me now, since I have lost both grandfather and mother.

Omg! Charlotte! You have expressed how so many knitters feel at times. “I enjoyed no part of it”! We have all had a project like that 😂😂 bless you sweet child 🙏🏻

Summer Lee has a podcast and she talks about her book. She said they are all new patterns. I think it would be great to have a sock along going through the book. I’m not much of a sock knitter but love the look of color work socks. Praying you get to feeling better. Thank you for all your positive content on youtube. It is much needed. 🙂

I bought The Sock Project on my Kindle. Not as expensive as the paperback. Plus I now have it on my phone, my iPad and my Kindle. I love the book. Summer has a great sense of humor and her patterns are great

I love Charlotte's duck, sheep, dog. It is always great to see children using their imagination to design their own crafts. The sock book looks really interesting and I think I will have to add it to my wish list. Your "coat" looks amazing but I don't think I have the patience to knit anything that long. 🇬🇧

Summer Lee’s book The Sock Project is worth every penny! Not only are there, so many new sock patterns, she has a wonderful sense of humor. I am reading through it page by page. She has a lot of tips and tricks for new sock knitters and for seasoned sock knitters. I am enjoying it immensely!

Welcome to center pullers! Now your yarn ball won’t run all over the place 😊. I recently knit the Lana vest and there a one row horizontal strip row which I had never done before. It separates the body from the rib and looks a lot like your icord bindoff and rib pick up. It’s a great feature.

The whole time you were talking about the uses for i-cords, I went Dr. Seuss you can do it as a cast on, or a cast off..... lol

I almost always do center pull because i hate when the yarn bounces around. I use yarn cozies to keep that center ball snug and contained. I created a pattern to knit my own yarn cozies using up scrap yarns. I also use tubes cut from store bought socks that get holes in them. If I don’t have a yarn cozy available or a cut up sock, ziplock bags work great also. 😊

I had to laugh at your discovery of the use of the skein "coozie", as we call them😄 I should have included instructions! Don't sell yourself short....you might not know about skein wraps but you sure know a lot about i-cords. My knowledge of those is limited to ties and bind-offs, so thanks for all that great information and another fun, interesting podcast 🙂. By the way, I have knitted several of the Tin Can Knits Beloved baby bonnets that you showed as an example of i-cord use, and they are the best baby/toddler hat ever. Moms love them because they stay on babies' heads! Hope you feel better soon!!

Hi Devin, sorry you got sick but glad you are all feeling better.
My grandmother on my dad's side (Nona-Italian for grandma) crocheted with thread also and made a blanket on the boat coming to America.
    My cousin has it still.
My other grandma taught me to crochet so I would have something to do while wearing my retainer( we called it a hockey puck).
I think my Mom and grandma taught me to knit too. I was going to ask my mom more about that but she passed away last Thurs 15th.😢
    Look forward to your podcast.
    Have an awesome week!

Hi Devin. I know what you mean about moms getting sick worse. I think it's because moms are busy taking care of everyone and wearing themselves out. Glad you are on the mend now. I am also planning on making the Wildflower Tee using Jovis. I have minis of all of your colors. I can't decide if I want to use the colors you are using or use the minis from the Valentine kit.

I hope you are feeling better! I enjoy your podcast-always upbeat even if you are under the weather! What size needles are you using on your duster? The Signature Needle Company is quitting business and all stock is 40% off. So not quite as expensive! They don’t have a whole lot of stock left but there are still some deals to be had.
