UPDATE ABOUT INSTALLING RESHADE: Sims players using NVIDIA and AMD GPUs will now automatically default to Sims DirectX 11. Therefore your ReShade (likely installed using DX9) will not work anymore and need to be installed again! OR if you haven't installed Reshade yet - make sure to select the DirectX 11 option instead!
Major advice I would give people new to CC and mods is to NOT pile them all together in the mods folder only unless they are script. If it is .package files please do right by yourself and organize your CC into different folders and categories within the mods folder. Like at least keep CAS CC in one folder and keep Build CC in a separate folder (still inside the mods folder) If it you want to organize a little more you can keep going at least 4 or 5 folders deep with Package files. Trust me, when stuff starts to glitch, break, or if you just want to keep track of what you have and what needs updating you will be happy.
I waited sooo long to do this and recently just spent like 3 hours sorting them all. I made folders for creators I had a ton of stuff from, and then everything else was sorted specifically like “female hair” “dress” “make up” “build” “sliders” Now I have to weed out the broken CC mods I have, but at least it will be much easier to find omg.
That's sooo true! I once had them all together, and this one time my game woukdn't launch, I was trying my best dividing the content to see what needed to be removed, but I had so much stuff that I just gave up at some point and deleted every CC and mod I had. Now CC shopping sessions has become shorter so I download less stuff at a time so that it is easier to keep the folder organized. And I'm so glad for those creators who put their names on the thumbnail of the cas/build-buy element so that it is even much easier to remove a content that is no longer working, really time saver and a lot less stressful!

Maybe include words that the targeted audience would search because the video title gave me a click bait vibe so I almost had your channel not show up on my home feed. Perhaps CAS slider guide can be helpful for beginners? I know that some people don't get to explore the CAS sliders and preset options because it's not explained at any point of the game. Tip for that is don't trust the thumbnail and some sliders can only be accessed from the side or back.

Denying audiences' personal experience with sims 4, a game with one of the most loyal fan bases, is a truly interesting choice that may result in losing possible engagement.
The title is not the only searchable thing in the video, if you look at the tags there's literally a "Sims 4 beginner" tag. Saying she's denying users the experience because of a title is just so weird. There's tons of other videos about this stuff too.

I wish I’d watched a few videos on how to work sims 3 camera when I first downloaded the game, I previously only played sims 1 so everything was new to me (even though I watched a lot of gameplays), so by default I learned to use sims 4 camera and now the 3 is so hard do manage, I tried it a few times but I feel like I lack control 😢
Omg yes same😭I still play with ts4 camera bc i play on a laptop and ts3 camera is rly hard to manage lol, but there is a mod called camera rotation enabler that allows you to rotate ts4 camera freely aswell! Literally can't play without it

Question about reshade and DX11. You said to choose DX11 when installing resahde but I've been using reshade for a while and when I've tried to update it there isn't a option for DX11 when I go to install it in my computer. So I'm still playing sims 4 on DX9 because I cant live ve without reshade lol. How did you install reshade on DX11?

There is a mod forgot who made it but I have had it so long that it keeps all those cheat codes in for me😊 The other day I restarted my game and no mods were in totally forgotten how it looked different without them😂 I went for MC and forgot it wasn’t in there 😢 That’s a big mod but then just so many little mods I have and they were not in my game. Tried to play for a while without them and I hated it😂 I have used mods for way too long to go back now 😮😂❤
Try pumpkin pie by softpine. It's dark and cozy. I was having the same problem until I found it . If you need to see what it looks like before you install I have a sims youtube channel and my past several videos are recorded using that reshade
First,thank you for this video! I’ve been wanting to add reshade to my game for a while now, & had previously tried GShade but it was an ultimate fail. This was a bit more successful. But…are you using other effects for better lighting and whatnot? I ask because while I noticed a slight difference in vibrancy, I didn’t really see a huge difference in the way my game looked.
I’m confused? Sam’s video is for installing. GShade which is not Reshade so I’m not sure that’s helpful? I need someone to explain this to me as if this is my first day on the planet because I don’t get it LOL.

@sue426 You can always delete mods you don’t use anymore or mods that need updating. It’s important to always delete the localthumbcache and avatarcache out of your mods folder before restarting your game if you do add or delete any mods or cc. Those cache files hold old info and can cause issues if not deleted. Don’t worry your game will generate a fresh cache file each time.
I love playing the Sims 4 and I've been playing on my boyfriend’s account. I'm finally going to get my computer and account and I don't want to lose any of my saved files is there any way to transfer it or something?
When I use the Sims 3 camera in live mode, my Sims panel and needs are no longer visible or selectable. So, I can move around and watch my Sims, but I can't control them at all. I have to switch to Sims 4 to play. But that doesn't seem to be the case for you. What am I missing?
Hi ! I just have a little question, do you know the alternative of when you hold down your mouse wheel when you use the sims 3 camera for when we don't have a mouse ? I have a laptop but i don't have a mouse yet (sorry for my english, its not my 1st language)
When placing items on surfaces, like tables/dressers/counters etc, items will automatically snap to one of a set number of "slots" that exist on the surface. To place clutter with the alt key, you need to use a cheat. Google "how to freely move clutter Sims 4" for lots of tutorials on how to do this specifically!

Well for me it seems to be Direx 11 or whatever 9 does not work which is how I basically lost my mind because everybody told me it was 9 xD

There isn't a DX11 option when I've installed reshade. I even went back to their website and I have the newest version.
For now I've been using DX9 because I'd rather have reshade then play on DX11 without it.
FUN FACT: there's no need to write "true/false" or "on/off" at the end of the cheat code. You''ll enable or disable just by entering the code.

Yes you can use reshade on Mac ,it’s gshade that you can’t use.

They work the same , like I have had both and installing them both is almost identical. Actually gshade runs off of reshade
