Malgus is really like battering ram. He's brilliant. He has honor and dignity. Despite being Sith he has good sides. He respects even his ememies. Those he fought, when they prove themselves. Thanks for this. May the Force be with you too😊
i wouldnt say he became "too powerful" for the sith empire, but he simply outgrew the sith empire in his ideology. the only person who kept Malgus in check was the Emperor Vitiate, because lets be honest, no one dared to question Vitiate while he was still ruling the Empire. But after news broke out that Vitiate died to the Hero of Tython, Malgus immediately started his plan to rebel, the same way the Dread Masters left the empire after Vitiates Death because they thought no one but Vitiate deserves to rule over them. What makes Malgus so compelling is him TRULY breaking his chains. He is the only Sith (after Vitiates death because Vitiate also outgrew the Sith Code) who is following the Sith Code.
@Valkyraw There were two assassination plots from the dark council who questioned the leadership of Lord Emperor Vitiate. The entire council was destroyed in a flash of light in the first plot. And the second plot when discovered the entire council was wiped out by the Empire with overwhelming force even those that had nothing to do with the plot.

Darth Malgus is my favorite Sith Lord. I would love an old republic series where malgus is apart of it and we get to see both light and dark side perspectives on the war.
What I love about Malgus is how his ideology was the ONLY thing that ruled his choices. He followed the code of the Sith so well that that very code guided him to free himself from it (the Sith). He was the perfect "Sith warrior".
Vader and Malgus both understood similar things to what Qui-gon understood about the force. The Jedi and Sith codes cease to serve their alignment in the force at a certain point. Both belief systems are actually ideals of governance, and seek to control the galaxy rather than serve their alignment in the force. Vader never truly cared for the Sith or the Empire, but believed that the dark side was the only way to bring order to the galaxy. Malgus outgrew the old Sith Empire and went back to his true purpose in serving the dark side through conflict rather than embracing the Sith ideology of his time. Qui-gon disobeyed the Jedi council and chose to listen to the will of the force itself, even following it to his death. Each of these characters understood that they served the force, not the other way around.
As powerful as Vader is. Malgus INVENTED the ability of Force Maelstrom one of if not THE most powerful Sith Lightning ability and one well placed blast shuts down Vader's suit and kills him. Also Malgus is leagues more experienced than Vader

First minute comment! @12:29 when Malgus is fighting that Jedi and she chops the saber out of his hand, it's pretty cool how he looked to make sure he still has his right hand.
For me, the chilling thing about Malgus is that he recognise that his Twilek lover was his main vulnerability. Even after a Jedi saved her, he killed her.
@noahjones3955 Doesn't matter, Vitiate said Jadus was the greatest his empire ever produced. Malgus was a product of that empire and thus subject to inferiority to Jadus.

Malgus’ empire would an interesting combination of the One Sith and the Brotherhood of Darkness
Hey Stupendous I love your content. Since you have been talking about the most powerful force users, could you please make a tier list ranking force users by their power in the force, much like the video where you ranked them based on skill with a lightsaber? Thanks!
I fight because that is what I was made to do and the empire is the instrument through which I realize my purpose. The empire is war made manifest. That is why it’s perfect. Darth malgus
You said lord Malgus thinks that through conflict and war they progress which instantly made me think that Lord Malgus is just a Star Wars Doomfist equivalent “only through conflict do we evolve” “our future will be forged in conflict” -Doomfist type shit lol
I always thought this story ironic because in essence, Darth Malgus corresponds exactly to the sith Oath. Without even realizing it, Malgus was criticizing the Sith of his time for not being faithful to the real sith philosophy and ideology. I always loved Malgus and his SWTOR cinematic, especially his assault on the jedi temple !
Yeah, failing at everything important that he ever attempted, and killing the one person that cared about him and nursed him back to health after yet another failure is so cool. He killed her to gain power and still failed again. lol He also looks like Sith Rogan, lmao, and his head resembles a shaved testicle infested with every STD. A slave to the force can never be 'cool'; all that work and the force would have never let him win, what a waste.
Malgus killed her only because she was a weakness and his rivals would use her to kill him, so he killed her himself before they would torture and killed her, that is a much better fate than if he just let his rivals have their way.
Palpatine: Everything I've done and everything that I am would be an affront to what he stands for and he would hate me with a reckless, uncompromising passion... I can respect that.
Interesting analysis. Malgus was clearly fooling himself and also justifying his personality faults. He liked to fight and enjoyed conflict. The problem is if you attempt to found power and structure on that it always crumbles. In the real world the Mongol Empire are a very good example of that problem. Alexander and the fate of his generals after his death is another good one. At some point, even if only for a brief moment you run out of things to fight and begin fighting among yourselves. On a smaller scale; the best fighter or duellist in the world can have a bad day and suddenly one of your strongest, most useful people is gone. Had he got his wish the Sith empire would have been as brief and fractured as his own pretender empire was shown to be. He would have ended up more like the Klingon Empire was shown to be in Discovery--constantly at war with itself, unable to grow because growth was not what they were interested in but conflict. So much is wasted in conflict, thrown away and squandered. Just as the Jedi were frozen in pacifism so was Malgus a slave to aggression.
Disney has absolutely no idea how to do Star Wars and I wish they'd never kept insisting on so many utter detached hacks writing for it. Malgus, Vitiate, Bane, Star Killer, Traya, Revan, etc. They lack the sheer ability for well rounded characters and narratives as those Sith Lords were given.
Darth Adrass was a political student of Darth Angral, he was by no means a match for him in a fight at all, Malgus disintegrated him with his lightning after he beat him into submission
Darth Malgus simply outgrew the Sith. Kind of like when Emperor Vitiate left, went to the outer rim, and formed the Eternal Empire as Emperor Valkorian. He left the Sith, because he had no further use for them.
I think the Sith empire always falls apart though infighting. the need for Sith to rise though the ranks with out killing other Sith. the greatest weakness of the sith was there selfishness the greatest strength of Jedi was their selflessness.

Ah so the Mandalorians would have really liked this guy. I suppose their relationship would be better than the one they had with Maul at the very least. Yes, peace is a lie to the Sith, so the fact that the Jedi would even consider this to be genuine and not a trap is utterly foolish. It makes perfect sense why more politically minded Sith would try this but the fact that it even went any further than the Jedi laughing in their face is kind of dumb.
