Hi John, I’m a Piano player and trying to choose between the Keystation, Komplete A61 and Arturia Essential. So I’m most concerned about the keybed. What do you think there? Thanks in advance!
Got this a bit ago, haven’t installed the drivers yet because I was getting a new computer soon, so I wanted to find out whether if I install these drivers on my current computer, would I still be able to use the same drivers on my new computer? Obrigado João Miguel
I had the 61 key version and I hated it and ended up selling it to guitar center.I liked the knobs and ableton live lite but it felt plasticity and felt really stiff to me.I prefer my keystation for synth and organ stuff and I use Yamaha mo xf as a controller as well
I have the 61-key model, but this probably works in both: If you load Preset 10, the rightmost slider (C9) controls the volume, and the leftmost top button (C10) controls the pan. That is how it works on mine, so, unless you changed Preset 10 to something other than the default, it probably works that way on yours.
For FL studio "Keystation49 or İmpact GX49 or Oxygen49" drum pads are not mandatory or volume adjusters important is compatibility, key sensitivity and keys sound Love you from Turkey, stay with music bro
Is getting Keystation 49 a better option Or Oxygen adds more value overall?Considering I don’t use knobs and faders so often and need a keyboard to record different instruments in my song covers. Please guide. (I already have a Yamaha Clavinova Piano to record my main piano lead)
Just wanted to say "thanks" for your great videos! Just got my hands on an M-Audio Oxygen 61 on a great post-Thanksgiving sale! Your reviews (and your quick answers to a couple of specific questions) helped me make up my mind -- and I am not regretting it! I'm a novice keyboard player (mostly play guitar), but I've been hitting my Schaum and Thompson (basic keyboard books) pretty hard after I got all the free included software installed and set up. You were right about Xpand!2! A great, huge collection of easy-to-access (and combine!) sounds. I've only scratched the surface of the included Ableton Lite, Expand!2, VIP, and Twist -- but after I spend a few months working on my keyboard ability, I should have plenty of opportunity to explore all these features! Thanks again!
Can you talk about the differences across multiple generations of the Keystation/Oxygen series? I think The Oxygen Mk3 had dedicated transpose buttons this seems to lack. Also, in one of your earlier videos you'd mentioned that the black keys of the Keystation Mk3 were shorter than they should be.

Anyway this oner sounds a much better option for me now I think. Thanks for your great reviews....
I have an Akai MPK 3 mini and wanting something with more Keys. I know this is a little older now but would you buy one used for 25 dollars? If I had the money I'd just get some fancy new thing but just looking to expand what I can use and want to make sure it's not become obsolete. I may go for an alesis V49 or VI49, which has more pads, nobs and buttons.
The V49 is cheaper but seems better quality, so here it is.

@@nathanreid2974 Thank you so much for your reply! 🙏
Does the 61 key version of this keyboard (m audio oxygen 61) have the same keybed as this one?
Yes
Watched a fair few of your videos now. I mostly play electric organ and have just got into this whole midi thing. What controller has the best Keybed for organ playing in your opinion? Something that won't tear your thumb up with slides and doesn't feel to light when your doing fast runs
Hi John, would you recommend this or the Novation Launchkey 49 MK2? I'm an FL Studio user
I use it for fl and it works but I don't know how to install xpand2
I got it
Hey mike im having a lil trouble downloading expand2 down on my mac. Could you explain to me the step by step you did to download it? Would really appreciate it

Hey, this or Arturia MiniLab MK2 MIDI is better?
I would get this because of the full sized keys...but if you need a more portable solution go for the minilab
Should I get this or the nectar impact LX?
I would go with this
hey man I already have a yamaha psre353 (cheap 61 key arranger with good keybed). Its a bit problematic as a midi so I was gonna buy a midi and trying to get best of both as a combo. my style is basically fim scoring kind ( need a good keybed). Any suggestions?
This has a good keybed on it
someone below said something about software programs not being compatible with mac os. im new to this whole thing , does it still work with logic pro x in 2020? I wanna get something quick so i can create as soon as possible. If not this midi keyboard what would you recommend 49key for logic pro x? Something reasonably priced. Thanks!
Yes it does,,,I had no issues with installing any of the software on my Mac
Pro tools won't work if your Mac is running Catalina .
Hi John, Can you tell me where you got it for $130? I'm only seeing the price for about $275.
sweetwater is currently $130, free shipping.
Came from the official M-Audio video of introducing the new Oxygen Pro Series. Just bought my first MIDI and it's the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 49. Was split between M-Audio Oxygen 49 IV or Arturia Keylab Essential 49. But after watching the video of the new Oxygen Pro I was hooked! Will you make a review on it soon? I'm so excited mine to come soon!
Yes M-audio is sending one over soon!
@@Johnmike Can't wait for your thoughts on it!✌
Excellent analysis. Glad you did this.
Mine doesn’t play anymore can anyone help me? It turns on but it plays no sound out of my computer
most likely deffective cable. buy a new cable or use one you have laying around. easy fix!
This vs the Launchkey 49? Which one is better?
I prefer this for price and greater control across multiple DAWs
Awesome review man, totally dope ;-)
Hie John
PLEASE HELP.
I'm having trouble choosing between oxygen 49 and m audio keystation 49
Im new to the production world (I will be using pro tools) and I and a pianist as well.
Which one is best suitable for me
Please help.
I would go with the keystation 49 it has served me well...and it comes with a intro version of pro tools
