Got Oxygen 49 Pro. Love it. Highly recommend.
Hi John. Would you recommend this for live performance? I will simply be triggering an iPad. I'm just getting started with this kind of technology... but I'm playing more keys live-- I'm primarily a guitarist.
So looking for stable & reliable platform. Is this the one? Other suggestions?

00:19 - I just stumbled upon my OG Silver 61 key (Pre pads) Oxygen a couple weeks ago in my garage. I had kept it in the box and not touched it in 8 or 9 years. I had to put a drop of alcohol into the pitch wheel as it had gunked up from being stagnant and enduring the Great Lakes environment from the luxury of a garage, but other than that, it worked fine. I did just pick up a mini pro for space sake, but its nice to have know I have a decent ranged board for when I feel more "traditional." Even though I'm not very good, it just feels more natural to have that spread and to be able to attempt to play both ends.
I had the 49pro and love it so much i bought a 61pro key and its even better and seems the build is slightly better and better velocity response and play-ability strongly recommend .
Am much concerned about the key feel , travel etc, for context i have a yahama psr e series keyboard. Is this better when it comes to the way the key feels than an entry level yahama like psr e 363

I'm a bit torn between the 49pro and the 61pro. Do you find having that extra octave really helps? I'm a bit tight on space in my production room that's all.
@@igg3937 depends on your music styles, but 49 is good 61 is better , 88 is the best for everything
the pro has a worse keybed imo, also noisier.. aftertouch is usually just a gimmick that most people don't actually use. also the pads are smaller and less useful on the pro. the pro is full of gimmicks IMO, rgb lighting and a pointless display "upgrade" . i prefer the simpler and more functionally sound non-pro. unless you insist on 16 worse pads, or a worse keybed so you can dink around with aftertouch once a year..
i'd say the midi out is the only real improvement which is legit if you need that feature
Yep your comment is spot on. The exact reasons I chose the non pro version.
You think the semi-weighted keys are worse?
@@WiktorJurek I prefer synth action for synths. Fully weighted for piano or very specific synths. Semi weighted is a crappier middle ground imo

If you are just using Ableton Live get the Launchkey MK3. If you are using anything else get the Oxygen Pro.

Doesn't the Pro version have aftertouch for the keys? That's an important difference (also assignable zones to the keyboard)

May I know whether this keyboard is compatible with the half-pedaling function of continuous expression pedals such as Roland DP-10, Yamaha FC3A or Korg DS-1H (Sending cc through 0-127 depending on the pressure applied) please? I would appreciate so much if you would help me with that question.
How do they work with iOS and iPadOS? I use Cubasis 3 and AUM as my mobile DAWs.
The Oxygen Pro 61 doesn't work with macOS Big Sur 11.4 and Logic Pro X, but the Oxygen (non-pro works). The problem is known for many months with M-Audio, but it is not yet resolved for the Oxygen Pro 61. It is sad, because it is a pretty good keyboard with nice feeling with the touches, but I have to return it (10 August 2021).
By the way the keys are really better on the Oxygen Pro.
Is it still not compatible with Big Sur - now that Monterey is around?!

Hi there! Some reviewers have said the keys on the Pro are a bit clicky. Not sure whether you get where they are coming from or not? Also would you recommend getting the 61 key version even if I'm not an accomplished musician? Thanks for reading and great overview 🙂

Does Oxygen 61 keybed have the intial sticky sensation and noise issue like on keystation 88 and 61?
Late reply, it's a different keybed, Keystation 61 is semi weighted, oxygen is synth action, so it should be less spongy

Can we operate analog lab from m audio oxygen pro or can we map it for better performance for analog lab filters?
Analog lab is an Arturia software. You have a lot of things easily programmed if you use Arturia keyboards, like preset choice, preset preview and sliders and buttons setting. With an M-Audio keyboard you can play but you cannot have all these pre-made settings. You need a manual setting for every slider and you cannot browse and choose from the controller.

Do they work with m1 macs?
At the moment M-Audio has stated that their products should be considered not supported on the new M1 processors. They are currently testing and working on updates for them to be compatible.

I'm sorry to say , but these look cheaply made. Axiom series was the best 25,49 and 61 they made. but i did get the hammer 88 it's actually good quality
