- Thank you New Zealand, for having me these last 3.5 years! Now, I'm officially leaving, and I thought I'd let you know why. Let's stay in touch!
We made the big decision a few years ago to move to New Zealand for a bit of adventure and to get away from the city, so if you are thinking about visiting or moving here, this is the channel for you! It's chock full of tips, trick, information and stories of my experiences to help you in your process.
Orrrrr maybe you're a Kiwi already living here and want to hear my cheeky opinions? I can help you with that too=)
I'm really so glad you're here WELCOME and thank you so much for watching.

Good luck and thanks for sharing your life and experiences here! Glad you enjoyed it here and onwards and upwards!
I feel a bit sad that I just found your channel a month after you're leaving. But want to thank you for it. I'm a Kiwi who did what all Kiwis do and left in 1999 for Tokyo and 24 years later still live here. I recently did a 5 month stint in Seattle for work, my first time "living" in America, which I enjoyed.
You may feel this a bit with America, but for me NZ is kind of frozen in time in 1999. Since then some things are the same, but many things are new. I've grown to accept now that when I visit NZ, I'm kind of a tourist myself now. I'm loving watching your introduction to NZ as a bit of nostalgia for me with 80% of it being familiar, and 20% of it being new stuff I'm learning from you. Having just lived in America for a time (should I have done a Kiwi in America channel?) I love your take on sweets, customs, and culture.
My experience (in 1999) was that most foreign residents that don't get PR would leave in about 3-4 years as you have done. NZ is a nice place but there's a big world out there. Tokyo keeps up my need for stimulation. I'm sorry you've moved on but best of luck in Italy, and I'm sure you'll take little bits of NZ with you like I have done.
Thanks for making these videos. They're wonderful for a culturally confused kiwi like myself. Sometimes what I need is an American to remind me what NZ is like. Safe travels and hope you can visit back or do an update sometime.
Very sad to see you go, enjoyed your videos, and all the best with your next adventures in life hope one day you make a trip back
All the best to you❤. Thank you for the valuable tips and look forward to your Italian adventures
I'm gonna really miss you talking about what it's like in New Zealand. I'm a kiwi by birth and I've lived here most of my life. I've enjoyed seeing your perspective....from an "outsider" who's got "fresh eyes".
Me and my family are moving to nz by the end of the year and I spent my time watching your videos to get to now more about the place me and my family is going to, thank you for posting very educational but fun videos of nz!
You will be missed here for your buoyant and open personality and lovely looks.
Please remember us fondly.
Let's hope that one day you will return and enjoy each others company again.
Take care and stay safe in the troubled world in which we live in. xx
Gonna miss you and your awesome critique of our country.
Kia haumaru koutou kI to hikoi hou.
Nga mihi arohanui mai toku manawa ki a koe💖
Be safe in your new endeavors.
Heaps of love from our hearts to yours💖💖
Watching some of these videos because Trump just won the presidency and I'm looking for safe/nice places for my wife and two young daughters to move to. I have many friends and extended family talking about moving out of country over the past couple days since the election. How realistic would it be for an extended family to move here together, and to buy land/build tiny homes as a group of United States immigrants?
Oh so sad u are leaving out little neck of the woods really enjoyed all your vids. Hope we have left a little piece of nz in your hart 😢 all the best on your new adventures and dot be a stranger and come back again sometime.
I live in New Zealand and have done so for over forty years always told and believing ours to be the prettiest and best and safest nation on earth but last year I went to Europe and realized I was living a lie !!
So sad you're leaving. I've watched every upload, and totally enjoyed every one of them. You are so entertaining. This Kiwi will miss you.
OH NOOOOOOO😮 I and Family Loved your Posts..They were so funny and honest,,.Please Start a New one someday soon, Best Wishes Judy
Good luck for your future plans and safe travels. Will miss your humor. Have enjoyed listening to these videos. Take care and remember us fondly. Just going to check out your other channels.🙂
I am sorry to hear you are leaving. I enjoyed seeing our country though your eyes. Wishing you all the very best on your journey. Will be following you in your other channel
I wish you well with your new venture. Every country is different, new prospects, new adventures, new horizons. You have learnt some of the Kiwi culture, we are a strong breed of people, may the number 8 wire psychology always be at your side. Thankyou for all you have contributed, it all helps to make us better people. Safe travels Morgan, and all the best with family plans. Haere Ra, been a real pleasure.
the number eight wire mentality exited the New Zealand psyche years ago when we started to become multicultural Most young Kiwis nowadays are more into being inside on technology than making/repairing/inventing or being resourceful
I believe the number 8 wire thing is still alive and kicking here and there. At least amongst the people I know. Younger and older.
Perhaps disappearing a little more each new generation. 🙂
@@jemma_19988 Have to disagree, we are a innovative country, for sure technology is a big part now, but look what we do with it - we bend it to shape, e.g. our yachts, communications. As for kids again many are innovated - the cardboard tie for bread bags invented by kids. They are far more conscious of the worlds health than most adults, after all we are the ones who adopted, encouraged the "plastic fantastics" and throw away society.
@@commonsense6702 This is true but we are miles behind other small population nations think Israel,Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland When you consider that we have no real global brands but these nations have many despite in the case of Israel and Ireland having little real natural resources We are a nice little country but not as innovative as our tv ads like to make us out to be Most young people all over the world are conscious of world's health But it must be remembered that our forebears were far more resourceful and less wasteful My mother who was born in the thirties was incredibly efficient at making things go a long way and more importantly not consuming too much ,not owning a car because we had to make do Todays young people go on about the environment but happily buy unethical clothing online from the other side of the world, upgrade phones when there is little wrong with their old one etc Remember that video streaming, youtube, and smartphone, innernet usage already is responsible for up to 5 % of the worlds global emissions and you get where I am coming from
wait what? you said 'here's why' and then i heard no why!!! what happened?? i thought NZ was heaven on earth? who wants to leave heaven on earth??
New Zealand is definitely not heaven and riddles with lots of drawbacks.
As a New Zealander of middling years the nation was great until 1990 has been in steady decline ever since - tremendous poverty domestic abuse and growing loser culture of heavy drug users and general never do well types !! beautiful parks though but even they are getting ruined by stupid shortsighted mentality where any tree not native is removed with a dull native tree As a hiker New Zealand forest is nice for a day or two then dull
Good luck! Loved watching your videos and wish you so much happiness in a Italy!
I'm still not sure why you are leaving though.
I just came across your videos. You are hilarious. I love your videos. You have a good delivery and a wonderful personality. Please keep your videos going. You make my day! I hope you have an amazing time in Italy! ❤🎉
Why Morgan? The vid title a little misleading.
But hey - I've enjoyed your on-screen company immensely and will miss you!❤
God bless you and your husband wherever you go. Maybe we'll see you again on these shores but if not, stay safe and enjoy your lives and your travels.
I will miss your videos and your humour. Good luck for the future and enjoy Italy. It is a special thing to experience other countries and cultures and can only enrich your life.
I've really enjoyed your channel and as someone who hopes to someday move to NZ I found your content both interesting and entertaining. Thank you so much for your videos and I wish you all the best in the future! I'm a little disappointed that we won't be getting more NZ content from you, but I guess nothing good lasts forever, right? Safe travels, Morgan!
Don't there are better places in the world believe me !!
All the best for your time in Italy. I've really enjoyed your content and your newcomer's perspective of New Zealand. It's been fun but I guess all good things must come to an end as they say.
Bon Voyage and all the best in your new adventure
Safe travels all the best for Italy.
Will miss your videos. Come back for a visit
Sad news...😗💚
All the best in your future endeavours. Loved your sacasm. Cheers.
Well, good luck and be safe. Out there in the world is not NZ. Be careful.
I’d love to hear about how your travelling with your dog has worked out. I travel with my cat a bit but never a long journey like from NZ to USA
Pastrami is Romanian. I think you meant Prosciutto? Bless. All the best for your wedding and travels through Italy. It's Amazing. Make sure to travel around and don't get caught in the tourist traps. xx
Congratulations, all the best and safe travels, hei konei ra…
I'm looking for a famous and powerful RUclipsr from New Zealand or Australia to share my disastrous story that I can't even say anything I've been through in New Zealand.
I was hoping it was click bait. So now I’ve subscribed to your other channel. You’ll be missed in our area of the world.
The REAL question we each need to ask ourselves is THIS: do we upvote the video or not?!?! Think about it for a second..... :(
Wow. That made me a little bit sad. Huh.
❤
Good luck on you next adventure. Will miss your videos. Take care, be careful and good luck. From Casper, Wyoming.
Good luck in your new adventures abroad. 😎
BY BY REMBER were we are in the world,New Zealand
Do you have a "that american in Italy" channel yet?
Take care, all the best.
So sorry you’re moving away 😂 take care bye 👋
Italy sounds like a good change....I wouldn't want to live in America
So why??
Move to the UK, you will get more subs.... bigger population. Sorry it did not work out for you... respect.
I thought you moved to New Zealand to raise a family 😂😂😂 ditching ole NZ aye 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
Great website !! But as someone born and residing in New Zealand I do not recommend people come here to live The country is veddy expensive to live in Housing and property are massively overpriced compared to other nations For example a family member has bought an enormous chateaux in lovely condition (on ten acres of land ) in southern France for the same price as a 3 bedroom "state house" in a poor suburb in southern Auckland !! The reason she was able to do so is when you cash up a property you are essentially a millionaire
As a result people are more inclined to invest in housing rather than say starting a business leading unsurprisingly to a nation of very low innovation by global standards
We also have a culture where anyone with a sob story gets immediately pandered to by both state owned media and the the state itself
For example a recently arrived health professional from India described to me how he was staggered when a client openly explained how she earns over one two thousand nzd a week simply by breeding a certain number of children not necessarily to the same partner and earning a tidy government payout on each one not to mention heavily subsidized health care, rent, food etc
Sadly this individual in New Zealand is the rule not the exception and the rapidly shrinking middle class Kiwi finds himself/herself/itself financially propping up a growing horde of parasitical dropkicks that are sucking the country dry while lazing in a state of self pitying idleness
So here you are again Karl, the lover of negativity who can rarely find anything positive to say. You state from time to time that you've been in NZ for 40+ yrs but does that mean you were born here? 🤔
You always give off 'whinging pom' vibes so it'd be interesting to know if negativity is in your blood or learned. Equally it appears you've only really traveled internationally in the last year or two, yet you proclaim great knowledge about the world as a whole when compared to NZ.
Break the negativity habit and think positive time to time Karl or you'll just reinforce the reputation you have as a loser!
Sounds like Canada.
How much are you selling your house for
Awwwwwww.
All the best on your travels and future.
Aroha ana matou ki a koe kai aotearoa nei (WE LOVE HAVING YOU HERE IN IN NEW ZEALAND) ka ki te ano (SEE YOU LATERS) American girl
Happy for you! NZ didnt seem very friendly toward you with complete honesty. Glad you are moving on 😊!
Says who? Never heard that. Just the opposite actually
Have a safe trip sexy. I have enjoyed your videos. You do seem to be a very genuine person.
Here is my observation in New Zealand. Ten new migrants to New Zealand, 8 of them will leave New Zealand for good within 3 to 10 years. Obviously, you're the 80%.
and why is that?
@@sami4u385 I would say low wages and high living cost.
I hope you got out of here before you-know-who won the 2024 election. Watching your videos now because I'm looking for good places to move with my wife and two young daughters..
Aw - no more jelly tips 😉
Another one bites the dust 😂
3 years are enough far away from home and rest of the world
Bye bye!!!
Good luck 😂
❤ wish you well God bless and have a great time 🎉🥝🙋
Very brave ,heading off to Italy and not specking the language ,You didn't mention why leaving ,can only guess work that you or your husband do .Good luck on your travels .PS I think you will get a bigger cultural shock in Italy ,but i'm sure you will be up for the challenge
bummer
If ya find yourself in central Florida with a free day, I'd be happy to get you into Disney World (up to 3 people) for gratitude.
chow then... haere rā
Bye
Cant say i blame you, jacinda F@&$ed the place, was mint before she got in......dunno if going to the US is a good idea at the moment but oh well, and italy?? Boy are you in for a culture shock 😂😂😂
Yeah, i agree. The US has too many societal problems plus the war with Russia continues on. I do not like NZ either, but stay here because things are not improving in the US.
We need to set-up a Give-a-little page to raise $'s to help you people leave! The term 'budging whinger' comes to mind when l read your style of comments.
@@pianoman4967 i got no problem with NZ, i been here longer than i ever lived in my country of birth and have no desire to go anywhere....so dont include me in your "bludging whiner" comments-i might have to call you a "typical Kiwi" (Dumb flightless bird) lol....a Badge I too wear with pride i might add, im just not Dumb enough to get involved in elections or politics. All fleas on the same dog ruled by the city of london banking houses.
You wont be missed
No...I like you guys. You'll be missed. God bless.
