As someone who is overweight (not morbidly, but still not good. 165 lbs as a 16 year old female) it is so harmful. Back when I weighed around 200 lbs I was self conscious with chest pains, stomach pains, and nutrient deficiency. Not trying to be comical when I say this, but these kind of cases horrify me. Knowing if I didn’t stop eating I could be on oxygen having heart problems and unable to walk. It terrified me. Ever since 2020, where I would have daily heart pains, I’ve been bettering myself. Eating for nutrients, not calories. I do weightlifting at my school’s gym and do plenty of walking and exercise. I’m not quite paper thin yet, but I am losing weight. My joints have less pressure, my organs are overall healthier, I’m more confident, I’m able to move easier, and I’m just getting healthy. All these things outweigh the taste of 12 cookies and a whole pizza. So please, eat healthy and support your body. You’re hungry for nutrients, not calories.

I'm glad there was some open discussion on how invisible eating disorders can be when you're thin; ie when nikocado was presumably describing bulimia (the rotten tooth). it's really insidious when someone has an ED that keeps them skinny and pendulum over to an ED that makes you heavy. easy to assume the skinny was healthy. i was hospitalized for an eating disorder for several weeks and i'm happy to see you reinforcing a lot of the things i learned there. eating healthy isn't about calorie counting or throwing a dart at a board full of fad diets and seeing what sticks. people can be thin and eat very unhealthy and bigger people can eat well and still be big. eating healthy is about making sure you get all the nutrients your body needs to help you go about your life

When I first met Charlie, I got quite offended for his constant swearing, but now knowing him and watching more of his videos, he’s pretty humble and wise with his words. He doesn’t harass anyone unnecessarily like most haters, and he doesn’t like he said, ‘just spew things out from his butthole’. He tries to speak facts and he quite often does, while having a pretty understandable sense of humor that I appreciate from him personally. He’s a very well-taught and humble person, unlike many other RUclipsrs I get recommended nowadays.

As someone who has been on both ends of the spectrum of eating disorders, Nick’s videos makes me sad. It’s obvious he needs help but when a disorder is encouraged by your environment (by money, family, stress, other people, etc) the spiral turns into a death drop. I struggled w a NSSID (non suicidal self injury disorder) as a kid as well and this was exacerbated by my family ignoring it, my bipolar, and the stress caused by domestic abuse and bullying. When i got out of the abusive situations i was in i was able to stop hurting myself. My last 2 years of high school i wasnt self harming at all. Did i have some slips? Yeah, ofc. The part of me that is addicted to harming myself will always exist. Thats what makes it a disorder. But im able to manage it w the support i have now. Basically what im rambling on abt is Nikacado’s eating disorder is severe bc he lacks people in his life to support him and he lacks the incentive to get better. Ignoring a disorder doesnt make it better and being paid to have the disorder will feed the need to ignore it. So, while its on him to get help, his fans make it harder for him to want to get better.

I'm glad there was some open discussion on how invisible eating disorders can be when you're thin; ie when nikocado was presumably describing bulimia (the rotten tooth). it's really insidious when someone has an ED that keeps them skinny and pendulum over to an ED that makes you heavy. easy to assume the skinny was healthy. i was hospitalized for an eating disorder for several weeks and i'm happy to see you reinforcing a lot of the things i learned there. eating healthy isn't about calorie counting or throwing a dart at a board full of fad diets and seeing what sticks. people can be thin and eat very unhealthy and bigger people can eat well and still be big. eating healthy is about making sure you get all the nutrients your body needs to help you go about your life

When I first met Charlie, I got quite offended for his constant swearing, but now knowing him and watching more of his videos, he’s pretty humble and wise with his words. He doesn’t harass anyone unnecessarily like most haters, and he doesn’t like he said, ‘just spew things out from his butthole’. He tries to speak facts and he quite often does, while having a pretty understandable sense of humor that I appreciate from him personally. He’s a very well-taught and humble person, unlike many other RUclipsrs I get recommended nowadays.

What gets me about Nik, is thst he somehow manages to fail at mukbangs. He'll post a 30 minute video of a random "10,0000 calorie challenge". How do you fail at time management on mukbangs?

It's relevant in a discussion about how visible someone is. Most people who uses the internet as entertainment know who Pewdiepie is, and it wouldn't be arrogant for him to acknowledge that. Charlie is much less known, but he'll still be recognised by many people who use youtube, twitch, or are part of the general internet culture.
As someone who has been on both ends of the spectrum of eating disorders, Nick’s videos makes me sad. It’s obvious he needs help but when a disorder is encouraged by your environment (by money, family, stress, other people, etc) the spiral turns into a death drop.
I struggled w a NSSID (non suicidal self injury disorder) as a kid as well and this was exacerbated by my family ignoring it, my bipolar, and the stress caused by domestic abuse and bullying. When i got out of the abusive situations i was in i was able to stop hurting myself. My last 2 years of high school i wasnt self harming at all.
Did i have some slips? Yeah, ofc. The part of me that is addicted to harming myself will always exist. Thats what makes it a disorder. But im able to manage it w the support i have now.
Basically what im rambling on abt is Nikacado’s eating disorder is severe bc he lacks people in his life to support him and he lacks the incentive to get better. Ignoring a disorder doesnt make it better and being paid to have the disorder will feed the need to ignore it. So, while its on him to get help, his fans make it harder for him to want to get better.
The last video Charlie did on this was a perfect example of true empathy and concern towards a complete stranger and that's a rare quality. You're a good man Charlie.
Nik's decline is actually really disturbing. His audience thinks it's funny or whatever to see him get worse, but it's really gone too far.

I'm a bit of a chonky dude and I try to eat healthy, partly bc there's a surgery I want that I need to meet the weight requirements for.
I'm also on food assistance, so gardening and foraging stretches that.
