I love your videos so much, It's so informative, so amazing, so inspiring. 😊 I really like your moustache style. I'm also keeping that style from few days haha. 😀 Love your truck. ❤ Love & respect from India. 🙏 Peace. ✌
Make sure next time you’re up here you do Schofield Pass. BTW @24:20 that’s Mt Princeton. My favorite mountain in Colorado. Hot Springs, Alpine lakes, and of course TinCup.
Rubber band across that paper towel holder will keep that from happening. Stretch a rubber band from one side of the holder to the other, across the end of the roll, and voila!
This looks like it has been an epic trip! You can tell a lot of thought went into your camp setup, easy setup and take down and I love it!! Wish the gmt800 era Silverado had the same accessories and availability. Great video as always!! Safe travels my friend
What do you mean? I can't think of anything that he has on his Tacoma that you couldn't get for your Silverado. The hardest thing to find, I think anyway, would be a comparable rear bumper. That's not to say there isn't something out there already though. GFC would make a tent/camper for your truck the same as his. I'm sure decked has a system already for your truck. The rest are just accessories that aren't vehicle specific.
@@amorton94 you are correct in some manner. Front and rear bumpers are easy enough to find for these, however none that are appealing to me. In the process of building some, as well as sliders. I have a “homemade” drawer system that works well for me and my needs. Decked does still make a drawer system for my truck. Was mainly just complimenting him on his setup, and the availability for the Tacoma is far superior to the Silverado of my era
@@cowboy63645 Yeah, the aftermarket support definitely favors toyota as theyre really the pioneers of the overlanding industry. Some things are available, but it doesn't have near the options and add ons you can buy that a Tacoma does. There's probably 100 little parts and pieces all over the truck that are made specifically for it.
Get the jet boil , you won’t regret it, gets a lot hotter than the good old Coleman, and the flame adjusts better, storage is nice too, fits in the pot with the skillet on top
That sheet metal cracking is your Core Support, very common on all generations of Tacoma's if you do any kind of off-roading, especially if you have a dual battery setup or any excess weight under the hood. Tacoma World has topics on it. Unfortunately there's really no fix that works, short of completely re-fabricating the entire structure out of steel. Tacoma's are just not made to off-road with.
Yeah I've seen it. I just have a regular battery and some electrical switches. Nothing crazy. They're definitely made to offroad, but that's just a weak spot. It's welded up...for now.
Hey man, was trying to send you a message but I guess you can't on here. Would love to see you do an updated beginners guide to truck camping/offroading basics. Love your style so would be interested to see how you would set up from a bare platform. Thanks!
Great camping spot! Truck looks great, man. Just out of curiosity, have you thought about weighing it on a truck scale to see what your gross/modified curb weight is now, absent passengers?
Thanks! Yes, I want to weigh it. I still think it's one of the lighter fully built trucks with a camper out there. I have aluminum everything basically. Some steel, but not everything. I'm curious.
Dobinson MRR's with Dobinson 112 leafs. Not sure total payload, but I have aluminum just about everything. It looks heavier than it actually is. Still wheels great.
It'd be a better comparison if they were the same size and if I had the coopers longer, but honestly, both are amazing. The coopers being 35's just eat up everything. The KM3's I had were smaller and skinnier, so take that into consideration. Also only put 6,000mi on the coopers so far compared to 40k on the KM3s. (Also you'll see in a new video soon that I now have my 1st choice, the Yokohama Geolandar G003's). As far as noise, I think the 2 tires were about the same. I've always ran M/Ts and am used to the noise. Both hooked up in the mud and drive good on the highway. Like I said hard to give an accurate comparison, but both are very solid tires I would run again.
Quick question. When you ordered yours . Did the parts come from 3 different locations? I ordered solar panel with vinyl and controller. All 3 are coming from different locations. Just thought that was weird.
@@peteniemela9900 They might. The controller is just an off the shelf regular part. The solar panel itself is the only unique thing really. Hey as long as you get everything, who cares! haha. Kinda weird still.
Man that camp spot was gorgeous, I wouldn't even mind if I had to pay a little bit for it. Your videos and Matt's are really making me want to leave for CO and go camping right now.
The pausing to stare at Cinnamon Toast Crunch "Oh my god that sounds amazing right now" Had me dying

I use a roll of blue shop towels instead of paper towels. Those rolls don’t have that problem of unraveling and you can use them as well, shop towels.
Ahh so smart. Gotta do that
Looks like an awesome trip! 🙌
Had a paper towel thing similar to yours in my TJ. I put a Velcro strap around it when I wasn’t using it.
Smart!
I was coming here to say this!
Rubber band across that paper towel holder will keep that from happening. Stretch a rubber band from one side of the holder to the other, across the end of the roll, and voila!
Some dope spots! Hope you enjoyed your trip through CO, GFC setup is dialed! Maybe I'll catch you out here next time

You can never have too many crispy bangers, :D. Great vid bro.

Did you do a review on your GFC yer ?
Maybe a comparison to the old setup with the roof top tent

Any way you can make a tutorial video on why and how to level your truck for those of us that are new to overlanding...?
That would be a good video!

Yep

How he would set up from a bare platform, as in start a vehicle build from scratch? That's how this one started..

They came with the decked, but I took the lids off for easy access.

where do I get that hat?

@@ArkansasOffroad I have a CBI bedrack and the Tuff Stuff Alpha, pretty heavy stuff....Looking to switch to something lighter
I'm sure you've told us many times before. but that's a go fast tent on the back of your taco right?

Since you have had your Coopers for a while now, what's your take on them? How have they compared to the km3's ?
