    • @ironman4do
      @ironman4do 19 дней назад +2

      Legally, they can't...but they absolutely have ways around that.
      There needs to be an initial reason that you're being arrested to start with, but you can be charged with resisting arrest even if that initial reason is thrown out or dropped. Cops like to use Obstruction of Justice a lot, because both of these charges are highly subjective and thus easier for them to "justify". If you note the charges shown in the video, 9:16, they are "Resisting/Obstructing Officer". They can claim his lack of compliance to their commands was obstruction, which he can be arrested for, and he then "resisted" when they tried to arrest him for it. Based on the video it's all absolute bullshit and an even halfway competent defense should clear him in court, but it can give the cops legal shielding to hide behind so they don't get in trouble for acting like idiots. That's how our legal system "works" here in the US...

    Tag light out is cop code for they had NO REASON to pull him over.
    The most common excuse cops use for any pull over is that the license plate light is out or something is blocking the license plate in some form.
    Ive personally had a sheriff deputy pull me over for months on a license plate light excuse. Finally I put in the brightest LED available. When he pulled me over afterward using the same exact excuse I asked if he minded me looking with him at the light. It was so bright that it washed out his direct headlights from 2 feet away.
    I called him a liar. He never pulled me over again.
    But over the years I have been pulled over dozens of times. Over 80% are bogus license plate obstruction/light and once a cop gave me a warning because I ran out of washer fluid and had alot of bug splats on the windshield.
    Cops are scumbags. They look for ways to harass people and try to exert undo grief upon the public.
    They aren't trying to keep any peace. Instead they are the cause of breaking the peace in most of their interactions.
    They aren't trying to protect. They are the cause of most injuries in their interactions. Including their own.

Imagine being told multiple times not to turn around and yet you turn around imagine being told to put your hands on your head in numerous times taking them off your head. Imagine being told to back up and not doing so until the third time Being told to get down, and then you start a debate with the police imagine being warned deliberately, ignoring the warning, and getting tased, then being treated, and taken care of.
      Oh the humanity
      Yeah, the cop in the heat of the moment didn’t realize what the charge them with so what the dude made an illegal turn. They believed he had a gun you people look at this shit with clear biased intent this dude made every single wrong decision physically possible and the cop said it the reason that he is in that position is because he did not follow orders
      They never beat them. They never gave a trumped up charge. They charged him with turning down the wrong lane and resisting rust, which is what he did my only critique is that the first cop didn’t have his body camera on.
      He was warned twice before he was tased he deliberately ignored commands. They believed he had a gun or some weapon, which is entirely reasonable, because again who keeps their papers and wallet underneath their car seat. That is where people usually keep their weapons.
      Whether you take the cops word for it, or not with what happened prior to the video, the fucker made every single wrong decision inside of that video. And coming to any other conclusion is astonishing to me.
      So enlighten me, how would you have handled this situation? You see a guy who is made a wrong turn down a lane driving somewhat to radically which yeah sounds about right considering how he didn’t know where he was at. That’s usually how I fucking drive when I don’t know where I’m at. looking around stopping to see if it’s the right fucking turn and shit Making a wrong turn down a road then I don’t know you see me start reaching underneath a car seat the moment you turn on your lights and pull me to a stop. What would your reaction be? I’m reaching underneath my seat.

Don’t know that you can’t use any force when no one is resisting… He had his hands on his head and his back was to them… It is up to the officer to put their hands on him and arrest him when there’s three or four more standing behind him… You’re right, they need more funding for more constitutional training… And while you’re at it, you need funding for more education yourself… Just being a cop is a risk… But we’re not giving up our rights for officer safety…. according to you, a person with down syndrome, who couldn’t follow orders is gonna get tased… Damn, you’re dangerous…. if they can’t put cuffs on someone when they’re just standing there with their hands on their head… Then they’re wimps and they shouldn’t be doing the job… Most people don’t care about Officer safety anymore when our life is on the line….
