making John Conner irrelevant makes the whole series irrelevant, just like Alien 3 did with the Alien series when they killed off all the survivors of the second film. Dark Horse did a better job with the Alien series in the comics than Hollywierd did with the movies.
To be fair the concept that only John Conner could save people didn't make much sense to begin with. @@MrHarrystank Never seen her anywhere else... She looks very fit and doesn't really have any particularly bad features or anything so I absolutely believe that she can be pretty... She's not very attractive here though
I think the general idea is to show a female in top physical conditioning, just like Arnold used to be in the 80s and 90s. I know women who never found Arnold, Stallone, Van Damme, etc.. all of these "juiced" action heroes, they are not really attractive. They look impressive for the masculine audience actually, lol We know how hard it is to reach that level, all the PEDs, the training, etc And same goes here, the actress looks like a track and field athlete, this is what a women at top shape actually looks. 5% or less of body fat, strong core, etc So, for people who likes the "no pain, no gain" lifestyle, her hiring makes sense because they literally gender swapped Arnold's role. It's hard to find a male actor who can substitute him, so the gender swapping kinda makes sense (even if they already tried this in Terminator 3). And giving my personal opinion, even if I like body building and etc.. I honestly don't think she looks attractive. She looks impressive tho, to go bellow 5% body fat is REALLY HARD
@Ricardo Santos The reason the terminators were sent back was that Skynet was about to lose. Also, in this movie the AI is now "Legion", rather than "Skynet".
The only Terminator franchise thing I am looking forward to is the upcoming FPS set after Judgement Day. The trailer looks like the styled equipment, weapons, and enemies off the first two terminator movies.
I’ve always wanted to see a Terminator movie that was already a few years deep into the war, all futuristic and such, but the main villain of the movie to be a small group of people that made a deal with Skynet for whatever reason. Not as a survival technique but that they were furious at humanity for not taking the warnings seriously or something and now the group was like ‘fuck it, we deserve to go extinct’. Could make for an interesting movie about human nature or something and it could make for a unique kind of movie where the machine isn’t the perpetual bad guy in the spotlight.
"Why Mackenzie Davis will scare the F out if misogynists" Lol, i love how they don't even hide it anymore but still try and put blame on the male demographic.
@Ryan Wilson They also don't understand that the female audience isn't there because there are "strong" women on screen. It's there because it wants to be entertained. Women and minorities have been turning up to watch movies for decades, and now suddenly they allegedly only do so because they see themselves up on screen? These people are so immersed in representation BS they can't think straight.
And yet somehow still can't seem to connect the dots, the establishment knows exactly what they're doing. But these groups of women, liberals and left leaning actors, they haven't switched on that maybe it's *because* Men and Women really *do* have different interests. Like we've been trying to tell them all along. Nobody is keeping women out of movies, they've always had strong role models since forever, it's just that 3rd wave feminists and like minded groups cannot stand the idea that a man is better than them at anything. We don't see a problem with women being women, and men being men, but they do. Create a problem, and make men the patsies. So who are the real racist sexist homo blah blah whatever here?? You already know the answer
....huh. That's an interesting point. For a group that's supposed to be so easy to read, men are constantly being declared, by groups that AREN'T men, what men are afraid of. Almost like those other groups are trying to convince them of it themselves?
Protip to the left. Strength does not frighten men: it's a trait we find admirable, regardless of whether the person who displays it is a man or a woman. We do get annoyed by a sense of entitlement, though
An astute psychological assessment. Thank you for presenting a logical statement. Will it take? *HELL* no. That requires a receptive, _reasonable_ mind.
I for one think female action heroes can be awesome and sexy IF done well/believably (Ridley, Fiona on Burn Notice, Black Widow, Ziva on NCIS, Largertha on Vikings) what we don't like is female action heroes trying to look like dudes and BE dudes. You're not a man, get over it!
James Davenport Exactly, I keep hearing from SJWs that men despise strong women but that isn’t the case. My fiancée is a strong woman that knows where she stands and she doesn’t put up with any bullshit, never met a sexier woman in my life.
Protip to the right, judge a movie ONCE IT HAS COME OUT. I still dont remember ANY APOLOGIES from u guys after u lambasted the TRAILERS of Mad Max Fury Road and underestimated its value on that alone.
Hollywood killed every single franchise: Star Wars, Star Trek, Alien, Terminator, Jaws, Nightmare, and so on...they squeeze them until they are completely dried-out
Kinda reminds me of the line in "Ice Pirates".... ..Jason; "I don't mean anything by this, but is there a particular reason that he's black?"...... Roscoe; "I wanted him to be perfect!"

Nah, the woke crowd has already killed this franchise. They will move on to: Coming soon - The Six Million Dollar Trans: "Whatever it is, we'll make it better than it was!"
GhostBusta 2016, The Last Insult, Star Trek: Discovering Feminism, Dr She and now The Feminator. I bet they will do the same to Amazon's original series Mother of the rings and The Rise of Mary Sue. The only thing we can do: boycott.
Zoltán Varga Boycotting won’t do much of shit. A lot of those companies who put out those movies are billion dollar companies. They don’t care if you don’t go see their products. They’ll make money regardless.
“My name is Sarah Connor and I hunt terminators” with that corny dialogue, I decided that this movie is not for me. Besides, it’s just “Terminator revisited... AGAIN”.
More like "Terminator Reborn" because lord knows we needed yet another reboot which, like the Halloween Reboot, is a new, direct sequel to a previous films/s that ignores future continuity.
And that whole premise is just retarded. Sarah Connor is still one of the most wanted women in the western hemisphere at this point. Are we supposed to believe she is just roaming around with anti-tank weaponry and killing an android every other month. Nevermind how hard it would to dispose of the remains every time.
It could've been executed better but I think the basic idea was sound. Show us life after judgement day, show us John Connor being a badass, cut down on the fucking time travel, don't have too many cute fan service jokes that muddy the tone.
They should have continued into the future war, skynet is defeated, Kyle Reese is sent, few years later everything dissapears cause if skynet never existed, so would John himself and so was the victory. I would also like to see a terminator that takes place in a different timeline, after the war was won there are secret terminators hiding in society, systems must be change to prevent skynet.
💯 Totally with you. I actually thought Salvation was very good; I couldn't believe they followed it with Genisys-proves they should've continued from Salvation.
For me with T3. I like it as a comedy though. T4 had nothing to do with the franchise except name, Gynesis was outright terrible. Couldn't care less about T6.
For me it died after T2 I could even forgive endless sequels *IF* they actually had anything worth putting on film... Sadly its just bad excuses to make bad films with bad storylines..
T4 gets points for concept... Loses them for execution. T3 kinda feels like filla in the franchise. But gets points for pushibg Conner into his destiny. We do not talk about Genysis. The fact is... The story has been told. And no new story has risen to be told in parallel with the events involving Conner. Its constantly being reheated
It's bloody Netflix that's winning at the moment. I cancelled my sub anyway back in June, couldn't take any more of their off the wall feminist and other divisional agendas.
It wasn't terrible, but for a movie about a war, there was very little actual war going on...instead we focus on machines kidnapping people? A rescue Kyle Reese mission? John Connor isn't actually in command, some old dude in a submarine is? A McGuffin code that shuts down all machines? All these thing add up to a very disappointing movie. The flashback scenes from T1 and T2 look ten times better.
Because John Connor sucked in the film Marcus and Kyle were what made the movie great. John made dumb mistakes like looking for Kyle Reese after he put him in an elevator should have killed off john and made Marcus and Kyle the main characters
The way Sarah Conner says " I'll be back" so casually indicates its going to be not so good. U can have too much fem or masculine actors you need balance to enhance it all .where's Edward Furlong? Oh right he doesn't exist or dead Major flaw!!!
How can you not admire her? She has what... 3% body fat? That's admirable for anyone who practices any kind of sport, she looks like an athlete. For example, hat's the kind of body a character like wonder woman needs. I always laughed when a average woman like Scarlett Johansson was performing action scenes, lol of course she is sexy and hot, but that doesn't make her believable in these scenarios.
@F.B.I - Wall Breaker Some people consider athleticism as something that denotes either femininity or masculinity. At least for me, her height + the sharp angles of her body is something very feminine. Similar to models, they are skinny and tall. I am accustomed with the gym dynamics, so I am a part of a niche. Of course, someone like... let's say, Cameron Diaz in the Mask movie, now that is feminine to the extreme lol But if you try this approach on a action movie, it looks silly (just like wonder woman, black widow, etc). So, it's kind stupid imo how people are shitting on her because she doesn't look hot or anything. Hot women are not suited for action roles, period. If men are obligated to bulked it up to look more "believable", then the same needs to be applied for actresses.
Ginger sarcasm at its best. Personally, though I would love to be wrong, I think the filmmakers will run out of fingers blame-pointing at fans very soon.

@@alextargaryen7886 And her acting is pretty decent in this movie. It's just that the whole movie starts off on the wrong foot. This movie would have been significantly more successful if it were the second movie in a trilogy, where the first one focuses on telling the story of how John Connor dies. Have it be about a terminator that arrives AFTER the Cyberdyne assault, determines that without direct intervention, Skynet won't exist and thus prioritizes reviving development of Skynet over hunting John Connor. Then you have the movie focus more on the Connors hunting a Terminator than it is a terminator hunting the Connors. At the end, have John Connor sacrifice himself to destroy the time-relic Terminator and prevent Skynet from existing. Sarah is left to mourn the loss of her son, and to ponder once more on an uncertain future. Roll credits. _The Terminator_ was basically a classic monster b-movie filtered through a 1980's culture and budget. Think about it, it's about a killer robot chasing a blonde and a rugged heroic man saves her. It's nothing but a better version of _Robot Monster._ But since it's the 80's, the blonde isn't as helpless, the rugged hero isn't as pristine, and the monster is goddam horrifying. _Terminator 2,_ on the other hand, really has no tonal connection to the first film, it's just a straight action movie more in line with other macho action films of the era.
The original Terminator is my favourite film; very much a “Tech Noir” horror. I can imagine a dark, serious reimagining from someone like Denis Villeneuve. Otherwise leave it alone.
the SCC series is still good and folks like cameron terminator so yes ther are some female terminators that we like that dont get pushed by the SJW agenda and most of all the director dont insult the audience.
@@biphronte I think it was made to be able to go either way. It ended in a way that everyone was content since it tied up loose ends and let your imagination goto work on how the future was going to unfold, however it made it clear that they were still on track to battle SkyNet eventually, so it supported a sequel. The genius behind Terminator 2 was that it did not try to be a thriller like the first one did. The best decision they made was to make it a cool upbeat action sci-fi action film and they pulled it off really well. James Cameron did the same thing with Aliens. It was a perfect followup. There was no way you could pull off the same vibe of the first one, so instead he made a really fun sci-fi/action/thriller that gave us a good look into the world of Alien without giving us too much. The only modern addition to the sci-fi trio that we grew up with (alien, terminator, predator) that came close to pulling that off was Predators (2010). It didn't quite pull it off, but it was close.
@Stefano Pavone T3 should have been what the Future Shock game was. Edit: Or, it could have shown the actual rise of the machines, in the original timeline, then T4 could have been what Future Shock was. The justification for the rise of the machines still occurring could have been something as simple as Miles Dyson's designs being backed up in another location, or that someone else had been working on the same project in tandem.
I remember seeing Haywire nearly 10 years ago with a bunch of my friends. We all had blast watching MMA fighter Gina Carano kick the absolute crap out of people for 90 min. We agreed the reason it worked for us was bc Carano had the proper physique and presence to make it completely believable that she could go toe-to-toe with men. Hollywood claims to be progressive, but shows itself to be hypocritical when they consistently cast the "strong female character" as either a 5ft-nothing pixie or an on-the-nose, androgynous "anti-female"
@Billy Hill Very well said. I made a comment specifically about that re. "even in the realm of Hollyweird fantasy, its completely implausible how some 5ft nothing 90lb female, can throw men 3x her size around" on a forum discussing the new Witcher films (is it 'Witcher'??). All the feminists came out in force to tell me that I'm insecure and a man-baby etc. They just cannot see the point. Unless a female character is actually a well-established SUPER HERO, it is just too much suspense of belief, especially when we see 9 films out of 10 these days, having slight females kicking the crap out of giant men. Our suspension of belief just begins to wane as it is so beyond what would be expected. Does this make sense, or am I just insecure?!!! :D :D
I disagree, lol don't know why you people hated her so much, she looks cool man. That's what a woman at top physical condition looks, basically they gender swapped Arnold
@@விஷ்ணு_கார்த்திக் She literally plays the same role of Arnold in Terminator 2: a literal athlete in top physical conditioning assigned to protect the hero. But this time, instead of being a male actor, it is a female. And I think that's fine, other people tried to "substitute" Arnold and they failed, so now they tried to gender swap his role. The Olympics happened recently, if you want examples of females in top shape just look at the women participating in track and field competitions (triple jump, 100m sprinters, etc). As for the character being transgender... I don't think so, if the idea is to show a female in top conditioning, it makes no logical sense if she was originally a male who transitioned
@@RRRRRRRRR33 She needs drugs otherwise she shuts down, she's literally less effective than Kyle Reese. Arnold was a massive Tank, he wasn't an athelete.

I liked Terminator 3 and Salvation. They weren't perfect but enjoyable and they contributed something to the story. Genisys was terrible but it had a few really good concepts. Dark Fate will provably be better than Genisys but that's not exactly saying much. I'll catch it at Redbox in March
not funny. Never forget T2. And remember that aging people are NOT included in all the social justice that's going on these days, political correctness covers just about everybody EXCEPT white men and aging people who get totally disrespected freely and openly, especially in Hollywood, but here we have a movie breaking that rule. Personally I can't wait to see the movie.
@@peadarmurray7994 people wanted a movie that looked like the war as depicted in t2 and t2. A gritty, no nonsense allout war movie with mostly practical effects instead of cgi overload. Not a pg13 movie about what it means to be human. Something already done way better in t2.
Salvation was great. The moment it started I already had goosebumps, and I enjoyed every second of it just as much as I enjoyed T1 and 2. And now, the more time passes, the more terminator films come out, the more I appreciate Salvation and its bold move to show something new, to bring some fresh air into this line of reused ideas. So the franchise would've never reached its dead end if they just made 2-3 films about the future and ended it with Reese going back to T1.
Just propaganda garbage. It's funny how the director has that much attitude, when everyone on this planet knows this movie is gonna be a POS. He is also a complete unlikable jackass, so fuck him and any movie he's apart of.
@@fgdj2000 It's nothing against the actress. She can only play the role as her masters see fit. Bad writing & directing ruin more projects than on-screen talent.
It wasn't meant to be a franchise let alone a trilogy, both The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day weren't about time travel, but instead focused rather on how knowledge of the impending Armageddon affected the human characters: Sarah Connor found her inner strength, the T-800 Terminator found its humanity, John Connor discovered his destiny, and with that everyone should have just left well alone.
Back when T2 was released, there were TONS of great Expanded Universe stories set in either the past or the Future. Like Terminator: Nuclear Twilight. I always thought if Cameron could do 1 more Terminator, it would both a sequel AND a prequel. Set in the Future, we follow John and Reese in their effort to capture a T-800 and reach the Time Machine. Sadly we won't get it. I don't know what became of the actor who played Future John in T2's Future War and Michael Bein and Arnold's age shows so unless they are digitally de-aged, it can't work. Also, they'd likely screw up the future because the design of the Terminators and future weapons in Genisys looked NOTHING like they they did in T1 and T2 and they likely won't use the old futuristic design. Another thing with Salvation, though it's better than what we've gotten, it didn't have the machines shiny and chrome like in Cameron's Future War and there were no plasma weapons, just bullets. I'll say this, if were given the chance to make a Terminator show or movie, I'd do a HELL of a lot better than what stupid "Hollowwood" is doing.
All we ever wanted was a good "future war" episode with John & Kyle battling terminator armies and trying to take out Skynet....how come they don't understand that - it's so annoying!!
The obvious Terminator film they missed was the direct lead up to Kyle reece being sent back. Epic battle that the resistance wins culminating with Connor sending his father back in time.
Honestly, all Terminator 3 had to be was a prequel to the first film set in the future war. Just show some action, robots, and references of later events. It's not that hard.
I would hope something new and daring came out, At least back in the day i could enjoy a movie or a game to try forgeting about my horrible life but now everything is trash and a good majority of people are fine with living in this cesspool of liberal hollywood garbage wich just makes everything even worse.
@@jackwilson9468 I wouldn't say it is entirely the writers fault for not being able to come up with anything original. Rather a large part of it is also that companies don't like taking risks. Since to them it is all math based, the way to reduce risk is to create stuff tied to popular franchises(either movies or books), tied to popular writers/directors, or tied to famous actors. A story being good or not can be subjective and also a good story can be butchered by poor filming and what not. So if there is a choice between an amazing story from an unknown person and a shitty story from a popular author that has a lot of fans, they would actually pick the shitty story on purpose 9 out of 10 times, because it seems less risky because there is a lot of fans for it. They don't actually care about putting out quality, they want profit.
IcantSeeReplies Agreed. T3 wasn’t perfect and wasn’t the best but at least it had a good ending with a good set up for the whole future Wars with John leading the resistance That was the only plus side to T3
The problem with this 'franchise' is that it's been turned into a franchise. There wasn't much reason for a movie beyond the 2nd one. The 3rd only added the idea that Judgment day was postponed but would be inevitable. The rest did nothing to add to the story.
@@MrChillguy7 It could have but Salvation didn't have the futuristic look of the flashbacks. They didn't even have lasers in this version of the future and it didn't really add anything to the story.

It is not only the Terminator that has reached its' creative dead end. I think dead end is a good description for creativity of any kind in the entertainment industry today.
El-ahrairah No. just because Conner came first doesn’t mean carol is a knockoff of her. Conner was a tough chick and tons of tough chick characters came before her. But that’s only one aspect. To be fair I thought 3 with the hot blonde chic was ok. I think the only thing I want from this franchise is a prequel called terminator Origin. It would explain how skynet came about and ow the humans fucked up to allow it to take over the whole world. Think of it like a disaster movie that leads up to terminator 1. (much like Star Wars Rogue One or Halo Reach)
TSCC actually shows that more can be done & expanded upon for the Terminator series. Out of the lot, it's still be the post-T2 sequel story that continues & expands upon what James Cameron had done in T1 and T2.
Just being in the future, no longer leading up to the war. The robots tried going in the past, twice, it failed. They can come up with some other plan but it should be in the future.
All movies after the second should have been about the future wars and not about time traveling. Hollywood knows nothing about what we love in movies. They are completely out of touch with reality. It's just as if they them selves were part of skynet. Cold heartless machines only seeking profit at all costs.
All through school everyone said "dude they're gonna make terminator 3 and it's going to be the future war like in the flashbacks (forwards?) in the first two!" Then when they finally do show us the future its not a dark and dreary scene with skulls and lasers everywhere.... It's..... Some desert, and the sun is out? Salvation was an interesting idea that was executed poorly through the eyes of a corporate think tank. T1-2 had the idea that humanity was fighting a battle of attrition that they know they were going to lose. The road were paved with the skulls of humans, abandoned buildings are now used as make shift homes for civilians where they eat whatever they could find, you couldn't trust anyone since they could be a terminator, etc. Salvation looked more like a conventional war between human and machines where it is a stalemate and humanity is still leading organized armies to fight back against skynet. Like others stated, boring.

@@MrHarrystank Never seen her anywhere else... She looks very fit and doesn't really have any particularly bad features or anything so I absolutely believe that she can be pretty... She's not very attractive here though
@@MrHarrystank I've watched like 2 or 3 seasons of black mirror already, maybe it's time to take it up again 😁👍
@Tristan George Valid! 👏 Point!
That haircut is not doing her any favors. Feminine isn't the first word that comes to mind when looking at her in this movie.
They need to make a Terminator movie where skynet wins .
Im starting to really hate these characters
Wasn't it Terminator 4?
@Ricardo Santos The reason the terminators were sent back was that Skynet was about to lose. Also, in this movie the AI is now "Legion", rather than "Skynet".
The only Terminator franchise thing I am looking forward to is the upcoming FPS set after Judgement Day. The trailer looks like the styled equipment, weapons, and enemies off the first two terminator movies.
If you stop at T2 (like they should have) Skynet loses and none of the other bullshit happens.

Buy my product that insults you or you're a misogynist.
Just remember who took a bite of the forbidden fruit first. Not us guys
And the poor box office will scare the f out of them.
Why are dudes always being told what were afraid of? She isn't scary, she's rather bland.

I liked Salvation. they should have just continued that...
It could've been executed better but I think the basic idea was sound. Show us life after judgement day, show us John Connor being a badass, cut down on the fucking time travel, don't have too many cute fan service jokes that muddy the tone.
At least it tried to do something different.

Being feminine isn't only related to physical appearance.
FACT= THIS MOVIE IS GARAGE ALREADY. Where are my badass 80s films!!!

True enough, although T2 ended with the idea that the future can be averted. Then T3 said, "Never Mind, it can only be delayed."
_The Terminator_ was basically a classic monster b-movie filtered through a 1980's culture and budget. Think about it, it's about a killer robot chasing a blonde and a rugged heroic man saves her.

Shld've just went from Salvation.. coz it's e Back to the future part II of e Terminator franchise
@Mcheetah "they always wanted" i believe he means a good post judgement day movie that wasnt garbage and pg13.
Salvation was set in the future with the war against the machines though 😕
@@peadarmurray7994 people wanted a movie that looked like the war as depicted in t2 and t2. A gritty, no nonsense allout war movie with mostly practical effects instead of cgi overload. Not a pg13 movie about what it means to be human. Something already done way better in t2.
@SgtBaker16 Nah it didn't stink it was enjoyable with some great action scenes, not perfect but still a good Terminator spin off
T2 has very few "visual effects", mainly the liquid metal scenes are done with VFX. It is however a master class in SPECIAL effects.
Can't we just have Summer Glau and Lena Heady back?
Salvation was great. The moment it started I already had goosebumps, and I enjoyed every second of it just as much as I enjoyed T1 and 2. And now, the more time passes, the more terminator films come out, the more I appreciate Salvation and its bold move to show something new, to bring some fresh air into this line of reused ideas.
So the franchise would've never reached its dead end if they just made 2-3 films about the future and ended it with Reese going back to T1.
Absolutely agree with you! 💯👍🏼
"She will scare the eff out of you ..." LOL crazy people logic
The only scary thing about "her" is why her chest is flat
That's how we know this director's full of shit. I'll see this film when it becomes free to download because they're not making a cent off of me.
Just propaganda garbage. It's funny how the director has that much attitude, when everyone on this planet knows this movie is gonna be a POS. He is also a complete unlikable jackass, so fuck him and any movie he's apart of.
When the director claims a gender less twink robot is going to scare anyone, it tells me he don't know the audience. Gonna skip this one.
She is a good actress. Don’t let it out on her. Keep your anger with the studio, the producers and maybe the writer/ director.
@@fgdj2000 It's nothing against the actress. She can only play the role as her masters see fit. Bad writing & directing ruin more projects than on-screen talent.
Remember the female terminator in T3?
fgdj2000 ok whiteknight
@@senorhace4746 THANK YOU!
Soyminator: dark estrogen
No estrogen in the case of Sarah Connor.
@@willmorrell488 oof

Ssh, dont make the NPCs try to rationalise their decisions. Itll make their heads explode
only dark fate here is what remains for the Terminator franchise
Batma'am with a Terminator skin. 10years ago, this would have sounded bad ass, but no, it's a boney angry lesbian.
LMAO!!!!
The funny thing is, we DID get this years ago with T3, and she was an actual woman, not a wahman.
At this point, I am rooting for Skynet to win.
the Irony, WOMEN COULDN'T PROTECT JOHN CONNOR AFTER MALE ROBOT GETS MELTED
BUT DAVE! ROBOTS DON'T EVEN HAVE A GENDER #npcface
@@Daemonarch2k6 Not a robot, a cyborg. Which means old Uncle Bob had a big old dangly meat scepter and it worked just fine.
Moral of the Story: Never Lend a Stranger the Keys to your Car
Honestly, all Terminator 3 had to be was a prequel to the first film set in the future war. Just show some action, robots, and references of later events. It's not that hard.
This is the reason it is so sad Salvation didn't make it, it was driving the franchise in a new direction. One that was really needed.
yeah , we all wanted to see more of the future war , more of the Resistance vs Skynet. that would have been awesome.
Yes that is the direction to go
I never got around to finishing it, but I liked what I saw. But that's just my opinion.
@@cooltrainervaultboy-39 wasn't perfect but staying in the future was the right move
The direction was right, but the execution wasn't. Should've stuck more closely to the future we saw in the flashback scenes in T1 and T2.
This is what we call " beating up a dead horse".
no, no, no, this is resurecting a dead horse just to kill it it again.
I wish they would invent new IP instead of watering down solid IP until it's washed out garbage
The rich cunts from hollywood can't come up with anything original, So dig up old beloved franchises to try cashing in on them.
That would require them to actually make something good, which is becoming rare, much more than even a few years ago.
I and others like me are working on it. (Might have to go the indie or net routes to get our stories out there, but we're working!)
The Terminator franchise went wrong after the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Blame that on Fox
I'd say it happened prior to T:SSC. T3 was already pretty bad. T:SSC has been only good thing in the franchise since T2.
IcantSeeReplies
Agreed. T3 wasn’t perfect and wasn’t the best but at least it had a good ending with a good set up for the whole future Wars with John leading the resistance
That was the only plus side to T3
Word
I miss the Chronicles, have to rewatch that and the first two movies. No interest in the new stuff really.
The only thing I can see them doing is making a movie in the dark future seeing humans and terminators fighting
The problem with this 'franchise' is that it's been turned into a franchise. There wasn't much reason for a movie beyond the 2nd one. The 3rd only added the idea that Judgment day was postponed but would be inevitable. The rest did nothing to add to the story.
Salvation could've been a prequel that captured the feel of the flashbacks seen in the first 2. Then you don't need to make anymore movies
@@MrChillguy7 exactly Terminators 1 through 4 are it for me T5 and now T6 don't count.
@@MrChillguy7 It could have but Salvation didn't have the futuristic look of the flashbacks. They didn't even have lasers in this version of the future and it didn't really add anything to the story.
@@jonathan2260 that's why I wasn't a fan of it. That and the plot

They should put the franchise to rest or go back to basics, as in go back to the Terminator's horror roots.
Yep. I'd be ok with a straight up reboot of first terminator. Tweak it to technology now. But all new cast.
Bradley M no..I love terminator 1 and 2 but they need to be just left alone. I’m sick of seeing reboots of everything under the sun, I want shit that is original
@@bradleym7899 You do realize they'd shove identity politics and woke-isms all over anything they touch, right?
Very true. But just saying if only option. But yea they'll shove anything down our throats
Let's face it, the fans mostly just want an android shoot'em up. Explosions, fights and car chases. The box office will tell.
Technically there is no male characters in the main group of dark fate, 3 women 1 robot
It is not only the Terminator that has reached its' creative dead end. I think dead end is a good description for creativity of any kind in the entertainment industry today.
"I'll be back"
"yes, Arnold, we know"
"no, zeeriouzly"

There is a cool twist with that line in the movie that he says and I hope it stays true.
nah he said "I wont be back" so might mean this is Arnolds last movie, well age kicks in.
You haven't seen the movie right? Here he says: "I won't be back" (not kidding).
Wow, I didn't know they replaced John Connor with Girl Tommy Wiseau as the savior of mankind.
This franchise dies after T-2 as far as I'm concerned.
(Though I never saw Sarah Connor Chronicles which I heard was pretty good)
It was enjoyable.
It was alright but I was about 12 so anything's good
Have you seen T-2 3D? It's also pretty good and is during the future war
I liked the chronicles quite a bit
The chronicles were enjoyable. Summer glau play the terminstor really well and the mother son dynamic was interesting.
Franchise Fatigue
Thats all I have to say
Terminator: The Latest One
Wokeness aside it seems like they’re trying to make a cheap knockoff of Carol from The Walking Dead
El-ahrairah No. just because Conner came first doesn’t mean carol is a knockoff of her.
Conner was a tough chick and tons of tough chick characters came before her. But that’s only one aspect.
Carol is a former abused spouse who overcame her own self-restrictions and rose up over the abuse and became an unstoppable fighting machine. That’s above and beyond tough.
At this point, I am rooting for Skynet to win.
"The Terminator Franchise has hit a Creative Dead End" - this and other things that were painfully obvious 15 years ago, tonight in Nova.
All these reboots, remakes it's obvious Hollywood has given up a long time ago lmao
Awesome Nova reference!
TSCC actually shows that more can be done & expanded upon for the Terminator series. Out of the lot, it's still be the post-T2 sequel story that continues & expands upon what James Cameron had done in T1 and T2.
They should make a movie based off the future war alone, like how salvation does it.
Salvation was good to go there but they fucked it up royally.
You just take the existing future stuff like John Connor and the resistance blowing up Skynet and sending Kyle Reese back, and flesh it out into a longer movie. Boom. Simple, everyone is happy
anonamatron To be fair, that was about the events leading up to how John became the leader of the resistance, since the other resistance leaders were wiped out in the movie after falling for skynet’s signal trap
@@thedeergod435 Is that bullshit anything that people had been waiting for though? Nope.

@PUSSY MONSTER!!!
If you can consider Androgynous-thing a woman that is.
The problem in the equation, as always, is the men. If you get rid of all men everything is alright. ...Or so thinks the totally non-manhating contemporary brainlets...

How was the franchise allowed to kill off John Connor don't they have to ask permission first I don't understand how that was allowed

Salvation?
@@alexshmalex I did. I was disappointed too. It was nothing like the future wars of T1-2
@@compatriot852 Because 80's apocalypse doesn't exist anymore. People have a different image of the apocalypse now. Movies needed to stop at T2 and should have stopped with the first one.
James Cameron is Terminator. When he focused on other franchises that was it.
He had a hand in making this pile of shit.
Keep in mind James Cameron actually endorsed that outhouse of a film, Genisys.
Lost my respect for him...
Maybe John is absent because he's undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
Raph Duncan maybe Sara is actually John post op.
You know what might of been a cool film version, Terminator: Tempest. It was the first dark horse comic of Terminator and had nothing to do with John Connor. But it took place in 1984.
