+Captain Obvious You sir, are the first person out of dozens to drop a rock station name with a song history in the same conversation as 95 WIIL Rock. Props to you, my man. Rock. the fuck. on. \m/ \m/
Wowwwww this is good. How have I never heard this until 2024? Every single person I've ever known who claims to know a lot about music has failed me by not recommending this.
It came up randomly for me whilst listening to a mix of rock music from a preset Amazon playlist. Spent the Easter weekend listening to all of their music on RUclips. Absolutely awesome band 🙂
This song is fucking inspiring. It's like you're climbing your way out of a pit, clawing your way free from shackles, and popping out like Andy Dufresne at the end of Shawshank. Epic shit here.
Just heard this song this morning, and I had to look them up and hear it again. First time I heard this band and what a great song! I love the Alice in Chains harmony notes they hit with the vocals. Gotta keep an ear out for this band!
Wife and I saw Red Sun Rising with Tremonti and Seether at Clevelands House of Blues. Which is an awesome intimate setting! ALL three bands kicked-ass! These guys played for 45 mins. and I wished for more! Gonna buy Red Sun Rising's first CD, which comes out August 7th. We took pics with them after the show, and they seemed genuinely happy to do so. Definitely made us fans!
seeing them on the godsmack tour was much better than the audio! much better live! and they're all so sweet! got to meet them and they we're great people!
Saw these guys tonight, probably my new favorite band!!! Live performance was so solid not to mention the spot on playing with their instruments!!! This band will definitely go places!
"The Otherside" I know I'm not as hot as the flame that burned, burned here before me I've been flipping through all your moments and tearing out memories How long how long can you carry this note How low, how low can we keep digging this hole Until we come out on the other side Crawling through mud, what's the difference When you come out on the other side Falling from grace, what's the difference When you come out on the other side The other side The other side Where you come out alone Trying to wash all of my sins clean I've gotten too filthy The drain is full but still circles beneath me Like a fool to sanity How long how long can you carry this note How low, how low can we keep digging this hole Until we come out on the other side Crawling through mud, what's the difference When you come out on the other side Falling from grace, what's the difference When you come out on the other side The other side The other side Where you come out alone Will you come out alone Will you come out at all Will you come out alone Crawling through mud, what's the difference When you come out on the other side Falling from grace, what's the difference When you come out on the other side The other side The other side Where you come out alone
Wow, this song is AWESOME! I just got introduced to this thru LA Lloyd's Rock 30 Year-end Show. He plays some fantastic stuff I haven't heard here in Colorado!
I loved seeing them in November last year on their tour with Godsmack. I was even more hyped for the concert when I heard they were going to be there too
Saw you guys for the first time at HOB in Cleveland with Seether and Tremonti. You killed it!! Im anxiously awaiting the album. Kick ass this year on tour and ill see you next time your in town!
Just heard them on songza and had to look them up. I can see them becoming one of my favorite bands. I'd like to hear more upbeat anthem songs, but I'm really loving them so far.
This song is absolutely great! I love this because it really sounds like bands that I love altogether. At first they sound like Alice in Chains then Shinedown. Great music.
Saw u guys for the first time in nj with Seether and tremonti and u guys absolutely killed it u guys are awesome and I always ask my dad is the red sun rising album out yet? I hope u guys get known because ur music is great and ur quality at concerts is amazing too!! YOU GUYS ROCK
I live in Denver Colorado now, but, originally from Ohio. I love to hear from Ohio bands making it big. I know you guys are still little Big, however, you still have a great sound that will make you a huge success. Congrats on your new career! If you ever need a live sound engineer from Dayton Ohio, with a CDL, look a brotha up! lol :)
kakarotto3 nice! just checked the KATT's playlist on tunegenie. great variety. a lotta classic and hair metal songs like slide it in whitesnake that normal radio won't play.. Also mixing in a little alt rock like imagine dragons and awolnation in there too, nice. a little too much of both for my personal radio taste though. not enough lesser-known new stuff like WIIL or the aforementioned^ WJJO play (we are the enemy aranda, texas hippie coalition, tremonti, wovenwar, etc). to each their own, i suppose. But still if it reached all the way out here in california i would definitely have it on. Always good to know some radio stations out there are actually doin it right.👌
+Muzikrazy213 They don't have a website but 102.3 KWDQ in Woodward, OK has got the potential to be better than the KATT but they don't have as much money to do shit like KATT. They have exactly what you'd like. tunein.com/radio/KWDQ-1023-s26234/
+kakarotto3 not gonna lie was very skeptical about how much a radio station with little money could accomplish but still popped it on for a little bit and ate my premature skepticism right up! NOT BAD AT ALL for a station with no website! way better than KATT and definitely needs more listeners. Here's the little dose I got: Jackyl - Down on Me (good start) Taddy Porter - Shake me (not bad, not bad Starset - Halo (good current stuff) Pink Floyd - Take It back remastered Version (Nice!) Pop Evil - footsteps (blegh! almost lost me here but So glad i stuck around) 10 Years - Through the Iris (major pointage for great 10 years throwback) Pacifier - Bulletproof (never heard before in my life [and that rarely happens on rock radio]) Tesla - Edison's Medicine (Tesla? And NOT the same one 500 times?! Fan-fucking-tastic) Doubledrive - Imprint (I didnt even know Doubledrive got radio airplay?!?!) Seven Mary Three - Wait (What?!) Course of Nature - Anger Cage (one of my all time faves that i rarely hear anymore. epic points) thanks a ton for sharing this awesome station. was very doubtful going in and ended up pleasantly shocked. will definitely keep it in my active rock radio station rotation (may have even shot into the top 3 just for the sheer variety of recently old modern rock songs even if its not as current with the new stuff as Rock 96.7 or 95 WIIL). will spread the word for sure
Ohio is just kicking ass anymore! Winning college football championships, making the NBA finals, and seeming to breed good rock bands! I am especially excited for this band because they're exactly my taste in music. The Black Keys, Starset, and Beartooth are good bands but neither are as close to my liking as RSR. Can't wait for the album to drop, keep it up!
Has that mid 90s, late 90s sound. Even in 2015 it still works. I have a shovel and I'm digging it.
"Trying to wash all of my sins clean, I've gotten too filthy."
Jams!
Just seen these guys last Friday with Nothing More and I was blown away. Never heard of these guys before and I love their sound. Great band!
Same here. They all kicked some major ass.
Monica Salas you definitely would have known them listening to 95 wiil rock with the app or online at wiil.tunegenie.com
+Muzikrazy213 Nah, people probably heard them listening to 94.1 WJJO in Madison, Wisconsin.
+Mark Green that is a classic rock station. I have nothing against classic rock, but I highly doubt its part of the regular station rotation.
+Captain Obvious You sir, are the first person out of dozens to drop a rock station name with a song history in the same conversation as 95 WIIL Rock. Props to you, my man. Rock. the fuck. on. \m/ \m/

Heard this in my Uber driver's car. I've been listening to it over and over since!
If they played this on a 90s station, nobody would know it's from 2015
you just blew my mind, I legit thought this was from like 1997
Love RSR..saw them with Seether at Bogarts in cincy...they had the house rocking!!!Much love to them
This song is fucking inspiring. It's like you're climbing your way out of a pit, clawing your way free from shackles, and popping out like Andy Dufresne at the end of Shawshank. Epic shit here.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Just heard this song this morning, and I had to look them up and hear it again. First time I heard this band and what a great song! I love the Alice in Chains harmony notes they hit with the vocals. Gotta keep an ear out for this band!
I love this song so much

This was me.. and a bunch of other vets but we've beaten this.. so far. Plz don't forget some of us homeless people were once human too, ok?
Song came up for the first time on my rock stream and has got me hooked
seeing them on the godsmack tour was much better than the audio! much better live! and they're all so sweet! got to meet them and they we're great people!
Saw these guys tonight, probably my new favorite band!!! Live performance was so solid not to mention the spot on playing with their instruments!!! This band will definitely go places!
honestly love this, it gives me 90s/early 2000s vibes :-) you guys have a great sound!!
Thank you Red Sun Rising - my ears and soul needed this!
I woke up with this stuck in my head this morning. Been whistling it all day.
Great Sound and the Vocals are so clear...Hope they will be around for a long time.
"The Otherside"
I know I'm not as hot as the flame that burned, burned here before me
I've been flipping through all your moments and tearing out memories
How long how long can you carry this note
How low, how low can we keep digging this hole
Until we come out on the other side
Crawling through mud, what's the difference
When you come out on the other side
Falling from grace, what's the difference
When you come out on the other side
The other side
The other side
Where you come out alone
Trying to wash all of my sins clean
I've gotten too filthy
The drain is full but still circles beneath me
Like a fool to sanity
How long how long can you carry this note
How low, how low can we keep digging this hole
Until we come out on the other side
Crawling through mud, what's the difference
When you come out on the other side
Falling from grace, what's the difference
When you come out on the other side
The other side
The other side
Where you come out alone
Will you come out alone
Will you come out at all
Will you come out alone
Crawling through mud, what's the difference
When you come out on the other side
Falling from grace, what's the difference
When you come out on the other side
The other side
The other side
Where you come out alone
Thanks c:

I loved seeing them in November last year on their tour with Godsmack. I was even more hyped for the concert when I heard they were going to be there too

This band is pretty wicked live. Got to see them play at the same gig as 10 years, and Seether. Was a pretty awesome show.
Had to look twice to make sure it wasn't Default. Sounds awesome!
Powerful, amazing, the chorus is incredible.
They are awesome!
Saw you guys for the first time at HOB in Cleveland with Seether and Tremonti. You killed it!! Im anxiously awaiting the album. Kick ass this year on tour and ill see you next time your in town!

once again 95 WIIL Rock proves why its the best non-satellite active rock radio station in the history of mankind
+Muzikrazy213 Nope, heard this on 94.1 WJJO Madison, Wisconsin.
+Muzikrazy213 Heard it on 100.5 the KATT in Oklahoma. It's the best, hands down homie.
kakarotto3 nice! just checked the KATT's playlist on tunegenie. great variety. a lotta classic and hair metal songs like slide it in whitesnake that normal radio won't play..

Heard them live at the house of blues, I now like these guys
good song
I was looking everywhere for this song thought it was new alice in chains, all i can say is hell yes, good music!
Damn good song
It's been almost 8 years since this released.
I miss you guys, i hope you're doing well in whatever your future ventures are/will be.
Still listening Mr Protich. I love me some good ear candy.
loving the AiC vibe they must be heavily influenced by them and I love it
Ohio is just kicking ass anymore! Winning college football championships, making the NBA finals, and seeming to breed good rock bands! no ones cares
Shit dude where you been? Been awhile
I feel you
I got a promotional CD of this song. I thought I would see if it is good here. I wasn't disappointed.
And it feeeeeeeeels like heaven is so far away.
Nathan Smith feeeed my eyes can you sew them shut?
Awesome
Rock
Band
Rock out
This song is fucking awesome! Not to mention the chorus, it's hands down my new ringtone!
This is so lovely. Alice in Chains meets The Offspring. Great bands influencing new ones. Yessss.
Chorus reminds me of "Man in the Box"
SloppySecondzMusic Alice in chains is fucking awesome man.
these guys rocked at yakima#
When their singing the chorus I'm reminded of some of the early scorpion's music.
when a huge AIC fan creates and publishes a song ,it sounds like this ..great song
Hadn't heard this song until tonight. Sorta sounds like AIC crossed with Days of the New.
Sounds like Heaven Beside You.
It's like Nirvana, Seether, and Alice in Chains had a baby. Love it
Feels like Alice in chains...
Rip layne
Muito bom!
Can ya'll stop worrying about what band it *sounds like* and worry about what band *this is?*
Sounds like a fantastic fusion of AIC & Chevelle to me.
Chevelle-hurt 😥
The chorus is almost the same as man in the box
The harmonies sound a whole lot like AIC for sure!
Sounds like Red Sun Rising to me. 😊
A bit of AIC and Days of the New in there. These guys have my curiosity.
Alice In Chains, Silverchair, and maybe a dash of STP. These guys rock.
The chorus sounds like "Gone Away" from The Offspring. x)
that's what I was thinking!!
Try listening to this next to holiday by geenday
Crawling threw mud, what's the difference when you come out on the other side!
Wow just heard on Octane and I want more. Did Alice in Chains change their name?
Sounds Like Days Of The New!
Yea, my first thought was man he sounds like Travis Meeks. Heavy aic influence too, I like it.
Alice in Chains influence for sure.
cabalofdemons This is the first time I listened to this song and I heard it right away!
cabalofdemons that is exactly what i said,, this is if new AIC had a baby with old AIC then had a baby with the offspring
I thought of that as soon as the song started
+cabalofdemons Yeah. For sure AIC sounding.
+cabalofdemons i know rif=ght thats who i thought it was at first love them both
let's just all note that we were here at under a half million views.
Resurgence of the my Music' Muahhhhhhhhhhh For Ever!!! ALC Seether,.Mud Vain!!! oop's still waiting' \m/
I hear aic, nirvana, and soundgarden in this song and I like it
