You could wear a denim jacket, sleeves rolled up, with a sleeveless t shirt or tank top underneath and shorts. If you want a dressier look, wear a nice fitted, short sleeve linen button down shirt instead.

I really like the contrast between the denim and dress slacks/chinos, preferably light brown khaki. The light denim jacket is a problem in Manhattan as they easily get dirty, so I usually go for the darker blue one. Another problem with the denim jacket is keeping it fresh which means the dry cleaners once a week. But, overall, an essential garment. Lastly, need to pickup a pair of those Dune shoes, really like the style. Looking forward to a new episode.

I used to wear a diesel track suit top underneath my denim jacket years ago when I was at uni in 2004..paired with some smart casual grey trousers from river island and vans trainers. it really worked well such a jumbled mix n match of clothing
The Seasonal Layering is pretty good. I would rather use the darker denim jacket than the lighter one. But if you can kill either one then go for it. I dislike the oversize denim jacket. I actually did wore once in the 90s which it was popular by that time wearing oversized shirts, pants and so on. Looking back through my pictures I look like I was drowning in them which I'm very slim. Bad move. I switched to fitted size clothes but not too much. I also switch to slim denim jackets. Anyway, this is just something I want to share. Cheers.

Robin James Perfect timing actually. Style I'm going for is a suit-is style with Dre's short, low cut suit vest and tie, but replacing the suit pants with jeans and the suit jacket with a denim jacket.
I really appreciate that you did not style the denim jackets with the current trend of skin tight ripped distressed jeans with an over-sized elongated shirt underneath the jacket, which is horrendous and kind of ruins the fashion staple that the denim jacket is in my opinion. You've provided several dapper styles, some innovative styles, along with casual styles which I thought were fantastic. Subscribed.
