Although the audio does sound better, I never noticed anything wrong with the old audio or nothing that ever bothered me. TBH, I don't really like the microphone being visible. It looks more like a studio podcast now, instead of a nice chat with Laura. Just my opinion though. Maybe the microphone can be just out of the picture but close enough to pick up the audio?
Love, love, love your ‘eye roll’ comment. Grew up on a farm and helped with our five veg gardens every summer. I have a very realistic view on the life cycle of animals so I appreciated your and Aaron’s view on insects and pests. 🕷🐞🕷

My grandma and grandpa built their own house, and she insisted on two separate kitchens…one was the everyday kitchen and the other was her preserving kitchen. The latter was right off her huge garden and had lots of tables, counters, and two stoves! She produced almost all of their food, so it was completely necessary for their lifestyle! I think back to how often she used her preserving kitchen and it was constantly in use!

So I’m still there, but no posts or friends or interactions - just stalking! Never an echo problem. Just be yourself, sound was always plenty good enough to hear great. Your looks are more natural without the big mics in front of your face. Liked the old method better.
Agree, I never noticed a problem either. Even if there were minor detectable problems, I’d rather you be comfortable. Seeing you comfortable is more enjoyable.
Cute story about Benjamin and the weather. My son did the same at age 4. He was enamored with the weather channel and anything weather. Now at age 33 he works for the National Weather Service. So, it could be a sign of something to come for Benjamin. Sweet!
Wasn’t too crazy about the mic until I looked up last weeks video, listened about 5 seconds and immediately noticed the difference! Thank you Aaron and Laura for always trying to better our experience on your channel.
Just for some input, we like natural sounds. Some of us live in higher noise areas and it is nice to just hear natural sounds. Some sites put the music level so high that we just unsubscribe because we have trouble hearing the voice anyway and it is just too frustrating to try to pick it out. There is always a varied taste in music and we have unsubscribed from a couple of channels because of the selection of music. We prefer no music. If we wanted to listen to music we would just go listen to our selections. We are enjoying the no music channel much better. It's hard to please everyone.
I think by Laura wearing black, the mic really disappears. I have never really noticed an echo, but if bugs you guys, stick with them! Nobody loves change but viewers will get used to it. :) Also, could be a great way to also put these up as a podcast. I imagine some people would love the option of listening to your conversations as they drive or do work, etc without streaming the video (us country folk have bad internet sometimes. 😂).
I dropped Facebook like a decade ago when the ads were getting mad and I don’t regret it at all. It’s bombarded with ads and the posts from people you’re almost obliged to follow because you’re “friends” with them and forces you to read things that are hardly relevant to your life.

Your Garden Answer Highlights videos are so entertaining. Thank you. Tip for Laura - although I’m sure you must already know this gardening/farming hack - Dip fingertips in a small bowl of lemon juice to clean nails. I also put squeezed lemons next to kitchen sink to rub over hands/nails before disposing. Lemon also removes tomato and grass stains from hands without scrubbing. 😃👍🏻🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋 For inside of nails ingrained with soil stains, just leave lemon on nails without rinsing for a couple of hours. Works equally as well for toes/heels at your new foot wash station! 😉😉

You are a very sweet down to earth family. I have learned so much and have gotten so enthusiastic about gardening. Thank you so much! God bless you all! 😊😊😊
I so enjoy listening in on these recap videos. I remember back before Aaron mic’d up and i just love his involvement! You to make me laugh; your banter is so relatable! 😂 my favorite was Aaron’s opinion on the gazebo 👏👏👏 I loved it!
Laura is perfectionist!!!! It nothing bad to have said. I absolutely love how you take and think about places on how you can see from windows, enjoying blooms, matching other plants. You are so gifted i love u tube videos. Thank for letting me enjoying your knowledge
You two are a hoot. I hardly find myself laughing much but on recaps when you are both together it's always at least once! Thank you for your honesty and informative information throughout the week. Flowers always make my heart happy.
Just when I thought I couldnt like you any more... I just almost cried happy tears... I love that although you're not sentimental about things like your wedding ring- you realize your CHILDREN may be... when my dad & grandma passed away my mom got rid of EVERYTHING they owned... 😭 it kills me to this day that I don't have anything of theirs... I know they're here with me, but I yearn to just touch something they have touched, or used...
I watch every episode and never felt there was echo. Thanks for inspiring us. As a florist I love statice, however clients do not. Lol. I hope like you, it comes back and people don't think of it as "grandma's dried dusty piece in corner of the den."
I have gardened for many years and have learned through trial and error. In the last several years I have made big changes to my yard focusing on new looks and lower maintenance ( not maintenance free as I enjoy that satisfying part). You have introduced me to many new flowers and plants that I have passed over in garden centers in the past, never realizing how stunning they are until watching you plant them in groups that are so complimentary to each other. Thank you! I’m enjoying gardening more than ever!
Loved your conversation about spiders; the timing was perfect. Moments before hearing it, my husband came in from putting out the trash. He had his headlamp on (it was night time) and said he kept seeing little reflections in our meadow. When he got closer, he realized that they were the eyes of BIG spiders; about 2-3" wide! He started looking around more and saw that he was surrounded by big spiders all through the meadow. Up until tonight he always took the trash out in the dark without any light, and never noticed. I guess ignorance is bliss.
Aaron is so darn cute! Love his masculine take on Laura's love of flowers and gardening. I agree on his jaded view of the internet. Keep on keeping on you two!
Oh, I just love the "old" videos of your visits to Mackinac Island - Jack Barnwell, et. al.! Those are so fun to watch. Well, all of your videos are great - I love the Grand Garden Show and just noticed that Jenny and Jerry from Creekside will be there, too! Congratulations to the bulb winners! It is so sweet that you guys take the time and expense (Vlog mics) to make your videos great! Thank you!
Yes can’t wait to watch! One of my favorites. Had Mackinac island on my bucket list. BUt just took it off list after doing research on cost to stay there! Unbelievable☹. So I will only be going to the Island through RUclips videos❤
I've always been happy with the sound quality in your videos. And this sounds great too. I have no preference except that whatever is easiest for you means the videos keep coming, so pick that please! 😊✌🏻
Hi Aaron! Just thought I’d give feedback on the new microphones. I’ve been watching you guys since the beginning and love you all and your channel. I always thought you were doing a great job. I loved when you upgraded the cameras. However, I never noticed any audio issues, until the new microphones. The extra noises that the new microphones pick up, are very disconcerting and distract from the focus of the video topic. Since you have already bought the equipment, it may be advantageous to use them as boom mics as opposed to “in the face” mics. They are not only audibly distracting, but also a visual eye sore on screen. I usually don’t impose my personal pinions, as I don’t want to be one of “those people”, but in this case, I love your videos so much, that I did not perceive this change as an improvement. I hope that I did not offend and you accept this feedback as constructive. ❤️
The lapel mics had small issues rarely and not annoying + such a cozier watch/listening experience for me personally. Too sterile with the big podcast 🎤 just sayin’ ;)
You guys are so fun and funny! I’ve always felt like these are your podcast episodes, and the mics really seal the deal now lol! Also I, too, have always picked out the most expensive item. I’ve done it since I was a teen! It never fails. I’m always checking prices and going UGH OF COURSE
Thank you for your lovely teaching and positive attitude. If we see spider inside our home we put them in an empty jar and release it outside. Clean and more humane. You are precious. Thank you for all you do.
Those large diaphragm condenser mics are very sensitive. Unless the room is treated, it may be worth it to try a dynamic mic instead which will better isolate your voice. Also, if there is no pop filter being used, you could try moving the mics a few inches back or re-orient to the side in order to avoid any plosives. I really enjoy your channel that's why I'm bringing it up. Thanks for all the inspiration!
FB is getting worse. All their "improvements" are ruining it, & their customer service is AWFUL if you have a problem... But it is still very useful. Especially for someone like me who is in animal Rescue. It is still the best way for people to reach out, & also to network all the animals in need.
I think your right about statice having fallen out of vogue, it immediately reminds me of dusty smelly 1970s 🤣But maybe that’s just because I grew up around a greenhouse retail business.I think I’m falling in love with it again .I cut my sedum back as soon as there tall in the spring and by late summer they are nice and stocky with more bloom heads . Zone 6. Aaron I believe my husband would side with you when it comes to his wife always picking out the most expensive item 😆 Some of us see Quality .
I recently started watching a young woman, Becky, from Acre Homestead. She does freeze drying & canning in her videos. She’s very down to earth & relateable. I’ve learned quite a bit about those 2 processes from her.
👋🌞Good Sunday morning Laura and Aaron! Congratulations to the 10 winners of the 100 bulb packets!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Have fun planting and/or sharing your wins.🤗 What a bunch of fun questions in this video. Those green faces🤢🤢 that Aaron/Ken put on you, Laura, were hysterical!!! I always get a kick out of the snarky questions that Aaron/Ken slip in on you, too. I like how you put those "Karen's" in their place... 😆😂🤣 Have a Blessed and Beautiful day/night 🌞/🌜 🌐 everyone! Kimberley F in Avondale, Arizona USA 🇺🇸 (Zone 9b) 🌞🌵💞
Laura, to get rid of dust on dried flower arrangements or wreaths you can use your blow dryer (for your hair) on a lower speed and heat. I do this and it works great! Have a wonderful Sunday.
Good morning, Laura & Aaron ☕️ Great recap. I think the drone footage of releasing those bug eaters would be cool. I never heard any weird audio previously but, either way, I love the recaps. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
I Chelsea chop(chop in half) my sedum usually in late June and then they grow back and bloom for the early Fall. The chopping in half keeps them from flopping along with not too much water and no fertilizer. I’m in zone 6b on the east coast of the US and that method works for me. I get more rain than Laura does. 🙂
The bickering! Love it! My husband is in law enforcement and I’m a nurse, bickering is a sport for us! Love to hear the light hearted bickering back and forth keeping things fun!
Ones I take outside- spiders- is the lynx spider or orb weavers. The lynx spider is the most beautiful spider I’ve seen. It’s beautiful Spring green, around the edge of all upper segments of it’s body looked like 24 karat filigree gold. Then it had soft burgundy dots spaced around the edge next to the gold.I’ve ever only seen two my entire life❣️😊
I have so much sedum I cut some of it back by half in late spring and the cuttings can be stuck right back in soil to form more plants. Some of it is cut for pretty green/gray filler in bouquets & arrangements when those slow maturing buds first grow - sometimes they will even root in the water and can be planted outside. The rest are left to mature and flower on the plant. We get enough rainfall to “overwater” sedum so they will all splay open and need to be cut back no matter what. Wish more cut-flower plants were so agreeable, forgiving and giving 💗
YEEESSSSSSSS to your eyeroll reply regarding the spider question, especially if you can't tell what type of spider it was because it was moving so quickly!!! LOVE that reply from you, Laura. I rolled my eyes in my mind after you read that and then you said you didn't have an eyeroll emoji large enough to show how that question made you feel. Ha! Some people just like to say anything to make others feel like crap. Apparently, that person didn't see your clip last year, I think it was, when Benjamin was helping you harvest pumpkins and he was inches away from a black widow spider! I think you calmly talked to him about it and left it alone.
Statice has always been a popular flower for florists as a filler, but no one grows it in their gardens in my area (Long Island, NY) as far as I know. I love it in arrangements.
I could never get the dirt out from under my nails. The nail scrub brushes wouldn’t get all of it. I started using the hose on the stream setting to spray under my nails and now I can get them perfectly clean in seconds.
Erin did it and I did it for first time last year. Works great. In fact this year deer ate mine down to a pitiful state the beginning of summer. They rebounded and look fine now.
As someone who has a bit of a hearing issue I appreciate the clarity of the larger mics. The appearance of the larger mics doesn't bother me as it does with some of the others because I'm used to seeing podcasters use them. Aaron, perhaps you could use an overhead mount for Laura's mic.
For the question about dust on dried flowers… my Grammy always had us use a plastic bag and a handful of corn meal. Turn the bag to “seal” and shake gently until the flowers are dust free. Change out the corn meal periodically as it becomes dirty. Use small bundles and discard the corn meal when done.
I remember!!!!! How is the pear espalier tree doing behind the green house? & also I just wanted to mention that I’ve always enjoyed very much your putting together flower arrangement videos. I miss those!
Hi Stacey, I believe that Laura and Aaron moved the espalier pear up beside the orchard garden, near the cut flower shed, near the painted fence in the now grassed area, at least I think they did, they were talking about, I thought Laura planted carrots and or a different veggie in that raised bed last year.
Hi from Kingston NY to Laura and Aaron, the pieces in windows are mullions. Love your program, I am now a much better gardener and enjoy it all. Thanks again, Dana Roberts / Valley Design Group
Greetings, Laura and Aaron, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 I watched the whole way through and I must mention that we owned our Flower Shop from 1981-1996 and I can tell you that Statice was a weekly staple. It was usually purple 💜 or dark blue, but occasionally white or mauve. In Florida it was a great "filler" flower. Now that I see yours I would like to try it here in Central Florida. 👩🌾👍 Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾 👍 💓
I used to make and sell wreaths. I use extra large clear cellophane bags tied with twine to store them. That way I can see which wreath is inside and hang the bag from the twine. Hope this helps!
Hey Laura, something that has always worked for getting the last bit of dirt out of my nails is putting just a little touch of liquid bleach about a half cup or so in some dish water with dish soap and a little hotter water then wash a batch of dishes by hand. It really works great. Of course you should moisturizer you hands well after.
Love the video. Always makes a great start to my day. I hat the scammers too, I got one of their messages and realized it wasn't legitimate. Thank you for all you do
Love the sound of the audio! So crisp. Just a thought… what about putting the audio into a podcast? I love your Sunday recaps but I normally watch it while doing something else since you both do a great job at explaining what you were doing. I would for sure listen
Aaron....Laura picking the most expensive item ( even when she doesn't know the price ) just means she has excellent taste.....she did pick you , so she definitely has good taste , right ????
I left FB 18 months ago and never looked back! Initially, it was an adjustment since I was used to checking it every day for 12 years, and I did miss being able to catch up with about 0.5% of my "friends", but not enough to ever consider going back. I feel so free! And, I have so much more time to do anything else, or nothing, if my heart so chooses. Very liberating. I agree with some others I've read, you are one of the few RUclipsrs that seem to have the volume issues (most others ignore) under control. I'm not constantly on the volume button throughout your videos. And, your talking is informative, not gratuitous. You do a good job! 😀
Good morning!! I trimmed my onion tops when they got pretty tall, down to about 5-6” and used the tops for onion top pesto…. My onions just kept going, bulbs got bigger and pushed more green tops. 👩🏼🌾
U guys are my Sunday wake up with my coffee just listing to u guys ,great way to start the day thank you.i have just one question I know you are very busy these days but are you going to do a tour of your mom's gardens they are so beautiful ,I always look forward to seeing the garden tours ..
Statice has been used in arrangements but more like a touch here and there. To see them in the volume you grew is an excellent reminder of how pretty they are, dried or not. Look forward to seeing how you decide to grow them going forward. 😍
Years ago I bought a book titled The Freezer Book and then went to the orchards and did “pick your own” and then froze tons of stuff. So much easier than canning. One of my favorites was corn on the cob. It froze beautifully and tasted so fresh when we ate it through the winter. Another absolutely delicious was strawberry freezer jami think the recipe for that is on the paper insert you find in a box of gelatin. It requires no cooking and tastes like fresh picked strawberries
Yes, freezing is a lot easier than canning. And have you tried making strawberry freezer jam with the Sure Jell for lower sugar recipes? It’s amazing! The reason some people would rather can is because the power might go off or the freezer might quit and then you might lose all the food.
I totally agree regarding freezer jam! I make strawberry freezer jam using the low sugar method; the taste is SO much better than regular jam. And so much easier.
Love you both anyway you are presented but early thoughts on the big mic’s is they take away from the natural conversation. Feels more formal? ..like an interview. I never thought the echo was that bad or took away from the Recap chat.
Oh my goodness I was laughing so hard picturing Benjamin with that app on his I pad watching the weather 🤣 how precious is that our little weather man 👨 ohhh ☺💞 love is the key, alwys
Re: the blinds inside the glass. They work with a magnet in the knob. If you move it too fast it comes lose from its mate. Move it up or down slowly until it finds its mate, then you should be able to open and close the blinds. Slowly.

I also never heard an echo or any kind of problem.
What about taking about the currupt food systems..that would be a start 🙏❤️🙏
Yep that was me! I usually cut them back by about half in mid June. It delays flowering by a couple weeks I think but keeps everything nice and tight. 😀

Hi Erin, love your channel and style. Nice to see you here, and thanks for the sedum advice. Seems logical. :)
My problem with my sedum is that it’s HUGE!! I had to dig it out and move this past spring because it was taking over my little garden space I had it in! I’m afraid to plant anymore..

I don't have Facebook & Instagram. Congratulations to the winners. 🏆 Happy gardening 🌿🍁🌿🌺🌿
I hate that people associate gladiola with funerals.
The mics sound great. I sat my phone down and couldn’t see the screen as it started and I noticed the sound right away. Very clear 👌🏼
😁😁😁don’t feel bad! I invariably pick the most expensive thing without even looking at the price 🤣🤣🤣 I put it down to great taste🤣🤣🤣
I have been without Facebook and Instagram for 2 months now and it’s been nice!
WHOA 🏃♀️
Laura, I use my hair dryer on cool low setting to clean my dried flowers.. it works for me..
Never heard an echo. Stay the course with your lapel mic!! It works! And it feels personal, like a friendly chat. 🌸
Well said
The lapel mics had small issues rarely and not annoying + such a cozier watch/listening experience for me personally.
I vote for you guys to be the ones to TRAIN people NOT to use Facebook!!
It's just awful over there!
O
I stopped watching them on f.b. a year or more ago when they started mentioning all the fake posts claiming to be from GA.
I completely left FB behind years ago. It has nothing to offer.
FB is getting worse. All their "improvements" are ruining it, & their customer service is AWFUL if you have a problem... But it is still very useful. Especially for someone like me who is in animal Rescue. It is still the best way for people to reach out, & also to network all the animals in need.
I stopped using FB when they censored my president. Totally unAmerican.
In Miss Laura’s defense....tractors? Yes it’s not pretty but they are very pricey being we just bought a small compact one. Lol
Yep, statice to me screams cheap filler flower when a florist doesn’t want to use the ‘real’ flowers.
I love the "I don't know if I can do an eye roll big enough" Love it! 🤣
Oh I love that comment too. Every time I think about ihat comment, it always gives me an inner smile.
I recently started watching a young woman, Becky, from Acre Homestead. She does freeze drying & canning in her videos. She’s very down to earth & relateable. I’ve learned quite a bit about those 2 processes from her.
Congratulations to the winners. I love the relationships you guys have, so cute.
👋🌞Good Sunday morning Laura and Aaron!
Congratulations to the 10 winners of the 100 bulb packets!!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Have fun planting and/or sharing your wins.🤗
What a bunch of fun questions in this video. Those green faces🤢🤢 that Aaron/Ken put on you, Laura, were hysterical!!! I always get a kick out of the snarky questions that Aaron/Ken slip in on you, too. I like how you put those "Karen's" in their place... 😆😂🤣
Have a Blessed and Beautiful day/night 🌞/🌜 🌐 everyone!
Kimberley F in Avondale, Arizona USA 🇺🇸 (Zone 9b) 🌞🌵💞
I like the no music videos! It’s fun to hear your little comments back and forth.
Laura, to get rid of dust on dried flower arrangements or wreaths you can use your blow dryer (for your hair) on a lower speed and heat. I do this and it works great! Have a wonderful Sunday.
I do the same works great!
Good morning, Laura & Aaron ☕️ Great recap. I think the drone footage of releasing those bug eaters would be cool. I never heard any weird audio previously but, either way, I love the recaps. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
+1
I Chelsea chop(chop in half) my sedum usually in late June and then they grow back and bloom for the early Fall.
The chopping in half keeps them from flopping along with not too much water and no fertilizer. I’m in zone 6b on the east coast of the US and that method works for me. I get more rain than Laura does. 🙂
And each on chopped gives you a new plant!!
The bickering! Love it! My husband is in law enforcement and I’m a nurse, bickering is a sport for us! Love to hear the light hearted bickering back and forth keeping things fun!
Congratulations to all the winners. I hope they make your gardens beautiful and bring a smile to your face every time you look at them.
I watch you all the time on Facebook, very rarely on you tube. Love your videos!
Congratulations to the winners! So up for a video of beneficial bug drop!
Love the idea of the beneficials being dropped from drones! I am interested in videos on that!! 💜 💜 💜
Hi! You've a beautiful a picture on your profile! Just decided to stop by and say hi! I hope my compliment is appreciated 😊😊
Congratulations winners, happy planting!
My grandmother grew statice from seed so it is aN old fashioned flower. Always loved it as a reminder if her gardening skill.
Yes, I was a florist & used statice all the time. I love it because it lasts so long.
I never noticed an echo before. If there was it wasn't bothersome. I don't like the mics. It seems more like a production. Love you guys!
I agree 100%
I could never get the dirt out from under my nails. The nail scrub brushes wouldn’t get all of it. I started using the hose on the stream setting to spray under my nails and now I can get them perfectly clean in seconds.
lol I knew the minute I saw you kill that spider that you were going to get complaints in the comments. 🤣
Erin did it and I did it for first time last year. Works great. In fact this year deer ate mine down to a pitiful state the beginning of summer. They rebounded and look fine now.
Love you 2 together ❤ your a great team...
Love watching your videos . RUclips is not the greatest but Facebook is a bad platform . Hopefully all the platforms will be cleaned up one day
Your sound has always been
great!!! The black mic 🎤 blends in with your black shirt!
Perfect!!!
Sherry-Knoxville
As someone who has a bit of a hearing issue I appreciate the clarity of the larger mics. The appearance of the larger mics doesn't bother me as it does with some of the others because I'm used to seeing podcasters use them. Aaron, perhaps you could use an overhead mount for Laura's mic.
I don't have a problem with the microphone either.
I found you on RUclips and that's where I go to watch you. Honestly, I would follow you where ever you decide to go. 🥰
Love the video, back in the day there was summer kitchens for used for canning and keeping houses cool during summer. Laura thats what you need.
We used a brown grocery bag and salt...shake the bag a few times.. done.
Absolutely love you guys tell your mother we all said we love her and we hope she gets better I love watching all your videos when they come out
Greetings, Laura and Aaron, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸
I watched the whole way through and I must mention that we owned our Flower Shop from 1981-1996 and I can tell you that Statice was a weekly staple. It was usually purple 💜 or dark blue, but occasionally white or mauve. In Florida it was a great "filler" flower. Now that I see yours I would like to try it here in Central Florida. 👩🌾👍
Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾 👍 💓
Thank you for all you do
Congrats to all the winners. It would be nice to see what they have done with the bulbs in the spring!
Love the sound of the audio! So crisp. Just a thought… what about putting the audio into a podcast? I love your Sunday recaps but I normally watch it while doing something else since you both do a great job at explaining what you were doing. I would for sure listen
The statice wreaths were stunning! I about fell over when I heard my name announced for the winner of the bulbs. Thank you for all your videos.
We would love to see spring pictures if you are comfortable sharing. Congratulations!
Aaron....Laura picking the most expensive item ( even when she doesn't know the price ) just means she has excellent taste.....she did pick you , so she definitely has good taste , right ????
And he sure doesn’t hold back on tractors and gadgets, right?
I never noticed a sound problem! Love your channel 👏🎉👍
It’s been so fun to watch Aaron become more interested and informative about gardening. ☺️
Agreed. I never noticed an echo in the studio.
I never noticed any echo from before either haha so the mic surprised me but totally didn't mind it
I'm not bothered by the mics. I'm used to seeing them on RUclips channels. I'd be more bothered by crappy audio.
I agree…I was like echo, what echo? 😆
I also agree - what echo? Also this video sounded hollow. I'd like to see the mics retired - please ☺
Slowly.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! i just tried thi and IT WORKED! One of them has been messed up for 3 years ... now it works again.
Love the idea of doing more with your mom! You guys are such fun together! I’m 71 and my daughter is 35 and we too love sharing our gardens♥️
Congrats to all but dang. I crossed my fingers too. I'm laughing so hard at you two. Thank you. I needed to chuckle.
Love the faces, especially the green one! Lol Thanks Ken.
