Honestly, you are doing what your Dad did for decades. Pushing the boundaries of what is possible. The team you have is up for it, but don't break them. We need your unit. X
This promises to be a very dynamite show. Hope you guys will include Iceland in your European tour. Iceland is one big "Rancho Relaxo". You'll need it by then ;)
Symperasma : 1) You ARE including this tune on tour?? Already?? You just learned the notes! 😳 I’d’ve never rushed it like that. 2) Nasal hair hyperbole, simply darling. Nasal hair is manly - wear it like a badge. 3) “contiued” joke, very mysterious. During Robert Plant’s solo tour for Now And Zen, by the 2nd leg of the tour, I bootlegged his Shreveport gig. During “Tall Cool One”, instead of the normal lyrics, Phil Johnstone decided to rap “..’Cause I’m your Uncle Walt and I’m built to please.” As Robert giggled nefariously looking at Phil. The identity of this Walt chap, unexplained to this day. - The biggest mysteries in music now for me : Uncle Walt .... and “contiued”.
Caffeine, caffeine. Alice Cooper 🤘 On ya Dwezzel . Rock n Roll. , Dads, Lost Song being interpreted by son. It's magical, spiritual and extraterrestrial. 😂✌️🤘🎸🥁🇦🇺
Wish I was still in the states for this. Tell you what… if you want to decompress after the tour, head over to NZ… I’ll buy you a meat pie of your choice!

@@Jedizen07 We moved to Austin about 20 years ago. Glad the Crest is still open. I miss the old Alhambra Theater. Back in the '60s I took guitar lessons over by the Town and Country mall. Mr. Schmit taught me. His son was Timothy B Schmit. He went to Encina.
Maybe it's my browser, but the tour graphic on the website has tiny text and the "get tickets" link does not take us to an itinerary or way to buy tickets. I can't buy what I can't see.
I remember an article shortly after Frank passed. Someone (maybe it was you, maybe one of Frank’s assistants) said that the a,Lunt of unfinished/unreleased music in the vaults was immense. They said it would take some with a computer and a barcode generator several years to get through it all. So, how much is still waiting to be rediscovered?
To think, all the music that you have that has been written out could be done in multiple ways. So many different sounding tunes coming from the same music. Frank didn't always knock those tunes out of the park but he was far more innovative than most of his day. I believe Dweezil will figure out everything in time. However, nobody in his band is going to have a easy gig. That's because the Zappa music is like nothing else. I believe if every member of the grateful dead was alive today, they would even have trouble putting some of these tunes together in a week.
Is Scheila playing with you this time? She doesn't seem to be rehearsing. Or couldn't she make this one, or doesn't she need to? The Lost Song sounds a bit like Gentle Giant as well as Frank, although that might just be the patches you chose. Frank is on record as liking GG; not sure what he thought of the other prog bands back in the day. Many see "One Size Fits All" as his version of a prog album. Prog fans generally count Frank and G. Giant as subgenres of their own.
@@thedweezilzappa Wow. Touring FZ's music without making band rehearsals. She's been playing that stuff for decades, and probably reads as well as Ian Underwood or Bruce Fowler, but still....
Dweezil, not surprised you need coffee, it should put you in the right headspace to co-compose the song, your Dad pretty much existed on coffee (and ciggy's) from what i have heard? P.S. i can hear your Dad's voice saying "In today's rehearsal saga the band attempts a brand new never-before-heard song co-written by Dweezil & Frank". Your band just exudes that Zappa band vibe (making me laugh a lot). I'm sure it will be brilliant!
@0:50 ......Wait...... A Zappa tune....... turned out to be more complicated than you thought? ....... Really???... ...lol... (sorry - had to do it!)...
@@thedweezilzappa That's sort of unexplainable..... In the spirit of Frank, you could make it "The secret word for tonight is...... Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz", to be pronounced or sung in an antimetric rhythm in unison with the tuned percussion.... 😜
He gets band members that look nearly like him. I am watching the bass player, thinking, oh Dweezil is doing the bass track.
See you on the 18th at Memphis! And the 26th in Nashville. Aaaaaand again in April at Chattanooga
I love TN!
I'll see you tonight in Napa!!!

Y'all are a great family. You had bright shining star parents. It shows in you all.
Cant wait to hear the new Zappa song man. The world needs to know about this musical genius called Frank Zappa.
Great song !!! 🔥🔥🔥
Very cool Dweeze.

I like that the original Roxy SG made a quick cameo

It was badass last night. The lost song was found. To my ears.
I was there too!
hope the tour is huge success and you get to PA! If i had my way we'd see you at Mickey's Black Box in Lititz. It's a perfect venue.
I want that knit hat!!!

Play a show where a couple shows in Sacramento area. There's a lot of people who would enjoy it and go
Saw Frank first time in Jan 74. Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. Sacramento is OK. I'll see Dweezil next week in San Antonio.
Ditto. Seen him lots of times in Sac ( where I live ). The Crest Theater is superb, in terms of sound and visuals.

Yesh
Fuck yess
the great thing is you can fuck it up and no one would know. That's the best part about playing a song no one has ever heard.
Yea it's the second time it gets tricky....
Indeed
I'm may notice a mistake but would be hearing the success of it. Pretty much. The only one without mistakes isn't doing a thing.
That's true for the listener but I believe it would bother Dweezil far more than any of us could possibly know.
YOU WOULD HEAR THE INCONGRUOUS ATONAL/TONAL OR GENERALLY ANOMALOUS NOTE.
A wise music professor once said "Don't practice what you know, practice what you don't know".

The lost now found song has a good Dweezil feel. There is something special about it. Grammy #2!!!
Confident it'll be incredibly tight by Clearwater!
Thanks, we're putting in the work to make it that way!
Are you coming to the UK or what mate? Also maybe Frank never intended for this song to be played live.

"Walk on your hands and find the bathroom."
Why Does It Trinkle In My Mouth When I Pee?
Is Scheila not there? Or is she so good she doesn't need to rehearse? She was great with Colin Hay's new Men at Work.
Not coming to wash d. C?

That drummer looks like you just handed him the Black Page😂😂😂
