This whole story line between Cas and Dean is due to the chemistry between Jensen and Misha. They are just electric together ❤ . I can't imagine anyone else doing these roles.
Cas is just the best character, of anything, ever. I miss my boy.
Dean gives great eye contact - to everyone except Castiel. He gives Cas little downward glances, almost from their first meeting, and it appears as if he's looking at Cas' mouth. Which is a good mouth to look at, really. When someone suggests that Cas is "his boyfriend" or "in love" with Dean, Dean never seems to deny it. And the "widower arc" between seasons 12 and 13 vividly reminds me of how I felt when my husband died. They deserved better. But I also understand why Dean had such difficulty expressing any of his softer emotions.
misha collins is the ally we desperately needed and deserved. i truly love that man for not making fun of us like the show did for 15 years.

I had never noticed Dean's voice in that scene 26:50 , my heart clenched now that I realized it, clearly it was a relief for Dean that Castiel is back.
I think that Castiel started to fall from Grace from the first second he met Dean. He introduced himself to Dean as "the one who griped you tight and rase you from perdition". Not just "Hi Im Castiel the angel of the lord". No, he should have been dramatic about it. Not just a random Angel (there are thousands of them), the "One who lifted your soul from Hell, rebuilt your rotten body the way it was before and even better. I didn't put it in some random vessel... You should be grateful... like a LOT". Ok later we find out that Dean is the Michael's Sword, but come on)))

Love seeing this again. I also love how after my rewatch of season 4, and now seeing The Boys, Dean and Cas basically pull a reverse Hughie and Starlight. Talking on park benches, and blowing out lights of factory buildings. “Accidentally in love”
This is the video I showed my friend who doesn't watch Supernatural but is interested in Destiel to show her their journey. She loved it! Her response: It felt comprehensive and thorough as far as showing how they grew to need each other and how that reliance became love. I had no idea how much lampshading went on during the show of how close Cas and Dean were."
That was really nice. Beautiful editing, the structure tells the story. It was great to see all these clips. It sure shows the love between Cas and Dean. And there was love.

This was so poignantly done. It speaks volumes about them, and honestly, the love they shared.
This is my constructive criticism to fans of Supernatural who shame fans for their ships, storylines and theories. This letter in general is to fans to who go great length to psychologically hurt others for what they enjoy in Supernatural.
Jeremy Carver was the showrunner for Supernatural for seasons 8-11. He, along with the creative crew of the show were excited to bring the 200th episode to Supernatural which would be titled "Fan Fiction". Jeremy Carver at the season 10 San Diego Comic Con panel said the 200th episode would be "a love letter to the fans" of The CW show and have "musical-ish" elements. "It's wonderful to thank you guys on screen," said Jared Padalecki.
It was beyond exciting when I watched it live. For awhile I wondered how it was a love letter to the fans. It more felt like a love letter from the fans. Especially when Sam and Dean reacted to the musical roughly based on their lives sing "Carry on my Wayward Son". However, when Dean talked to the Writer, Director and actor of the musical named Marie it all made sense now.
DEAN : Well, you did good out there, kid.
MARIE : Hmm, you're not so bad yourself.
DEAN : You know ? This has been educational. Seeing the story from your perspective. You keep writing, Shakespeare.
MARIE : Even if it doesn't match how you see it ?
DEAN : I have my version, and you have yours.
Can we not accept shippers and storylines or theories not established in the show? I want to make it clear that I haven't shipped anyone. I haven't made my own storylines. My theories have only been what the season finales could have been. However, we shouldn't result to cyber bullying others if we don't agree with uncanonized shipping and uncanonized storylines. I love that shippers have a different version of Supernatural than I do. Like Dean said: " I have my version and you have yours." That is a true gift to the fans. At least to me.
This video is so soft and warm ❤️ I felt love for Cas and Dean and the whole show again. Thank you so much for this😘 Ah..guess Supernatural will always be my favorite.
I've seen many Destiel edits but this one is made from the perspective of someone with a deep understanding and gentle love for these characters. It comprises of all the background info and knowledge you collected of and shared about them. It isn't a manipulative edit, there are no voiceovers, no added sounds to the dialogues, it's just what was shown on screen and it feels like the real deal, because it is. I was probably wishful thinking already from the bench talk, because Cas was my favourite character and I so wanted Dean to feel the same way, and also, because Dean deserved the protection and love of a wonderful character like Cas. From then on I saw every scene through this lens and I remember how I grew more and more certain that I wasn't imagining things. The fact that Supernatural was years too early breaks my heart, because today the relationship btw them would be so different. Then again, the show might lose some of its charm and innocence today. Destiel deserved more than what they got but at least the fandom built on the mountains of emotions and in the end, we did get an acknowledgement that yes, it was there and no, it wasn't wishful thinking. This little story you put together here is faithfully following what actually happened. Thank you for all the beautiful videos you posted on the subject. ❤❤❤

thank you so much for this video and many others you do too, it's quite rare to find spn fans who are sane in a sense that you are aware of your wishes and that those are only wishes, that cw and showrunners had problems and don't ignore that actors and others have constrictions too, how you come with a cool head so to speak, and this chronicle is everything I needed from compilations, not to mention how you reminded me of some of their best moments and why I grew to appreciate the relationship these characters had/have, so basically, thank you

I'm glad that Eric kripke decided to bring angels on the show and kept castiel around much longer than when he was intended to be even though I hated the way he was treated in the last seasons of the show the same goes for dean also the show had something great with these two and they basically ruined it by not giving any closure between them because they didn't want to anger certain fans so they played both side's 😇🌟🥰😥😢😭

@LM - a lot of the comments seem to have disappeared from this thread, so here is my response to your response to me. Its fine and I get what your saying with no issue at all. I am willing as I've said to see all points of views and arguments for Destiel, thinking I'm missing something very nuance between these two. Bob Wess is very good in articulating his assessment, breaking down the scenes to 'display' what he says is the blossoming love between the characters. Its a very good, very gentle review and I appreciate it. I also appreciate your comment as well. Thanks.

Oh fyi incase you didn’t know when Cas was supposed to kill Dean over the tablet the orginal script for Dean to say was “I love you” not “I need you” Jensen changed it as he thought it would suit Dean better than those 3 other special words. 💖

Dean is modelled off an openly bi character in the book “On the Road” which is what Supernatural is based off of.
The queer community also notices a lot of Dean’s comments and mannerisms are not hetero or even allo.
