I still remember when this single dropped. It was like a damned bomb went off for rock fans.
Facts bought it so fast
I have this album uploaded on my cars computer. I always turn this shit up and roll the windows down. This song is so awesome
That is an excellent way to put it. I vaguely recall saying things like "no fuckin' way!" and "Dude holy shit!"
@@danielschnapp6737 I still have the CD! XD
@@reanimated
I do as well. One of the first cds I ever bought
That sound is Tom Morellos guitar ..
Still upset over losing Chris. RIP Chris Cornell. I’m gonna be upset over this one for a long time.
You are NOT alone
Thanks brother. You’re a soldier. I’d cry everytime I had to react to a Chris Cornell song. I’m still trying to cope with his loss and my issues with it
"Man, what is that sound?"
That would be a Tom Morelo, in his natural territory
The official video for this is great . They spent their video budget wisely - they hired Rick Rubin to co-produce, and then spent the rest on fireworks. Peace.
Slaves and Bulldozers! Studio version. Chris hits notes that will give you chills.
Rewatch Cochise with the video. They are on top of a building with fireworks going off.
You should watch Audioslave live debut
"What is that sound?" That sound would be Tom Morello. He played a lot with guitar effects and still does as far as I know.
Edit: Also RIP to the greatest rock singer IMO, Chris Cornell.
How can you go wrong with Chris Cornell & back up RATM group! Love this song ✌💜💫
Don't forget RATM Spin off ...PROPHETS OF RAGE , RATM Band + 2
Can we just take a minute to accept that Chris Cornell and Layne Staley are NO LONGER WITH US?
How lucky is our generation for having experienced those guys?
I was a high school kid when grunge hit, so blessed to be a teen at that time.
@@nathaneley6486 That's so awesome dude. I'm happy you were there.
I wish more than anything I could have experienced Layne! I'm so happy I could have seen Chris put out music into my adult years, though.
Im 31, love them tho. Their legacy continues. My 5 and 3 yo daughters sing a lot to them in the car lol. ✊
Was thinking exact same thing and you said it...nice.
Favorite track from this album is Shadow On The Sun. Set It Off and Gasoline are also dope ( whole album kicks ass ).
If you check out Chris's voice in Slaves and Bulldozers, that he made with Soundgarden, you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he had one of the most powerful voices in rock. Put a seatbelt on for this one! Peace
Slaves and Bulldozers by Soundgarden is the greatest rock vocal I've ever heard.
Absolute great call my brother.
"beyond the wheel" is impossible singing except for one person.
Fuck yeah that's a good shout there amazing track.with amazing vocals, as always with Chris
Four walled world is just as good
@@waynegledhill228 fuck yeah four walled world is an excellent tune man, TOTD album is just so good all.round
Cochise , pronounced ko chees was a great Native American warrior , I have no idea why this song is called that
Damn that makes my Native American side feel even more badass XD
Spoonman, Pretty Noose, Burden in my Hand, then maybe Drawing Flies or Jesus Christ Pose.
Let's not forget Fell On Black Days and Blow Up The Outside World:D
Soundgarden- “Rusty Cage” is a must
My favorite driving song. Too many tickets though..
Love that song and the Johnny Cash cover of it as well
This entire album is a house on fire.
Hes talking to himself about quitting heroin. Ill miss that voice
Cochise, meaning strength of the oak . Pronounced KO- chee- ss. That is a name given by whites to honor the war leader of a band of Apache called Chiricahua ( Cheer-ih-cow-wha ). From 1861 to 1872 he led a war against the US government, until a peace treaty was reached. His name was Shi-ka-Shi.
Not a smart kid
@@karenriddell2316 What? Who? We all are unaware of something until we are.
This song was so hype back in the day. Makes you want to run through a wall
If you don't know by now, Chris Cornell was the lead singer of Soundgarden and co-lead of Temple of The Dog with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder. There was a band in the 90's called Rage Against The Machine. RATM'S lead singer Zack Delarocha left the group and Chris merged with the band to form Audioslave. If you have never heard of RATM then I HIGHLY recommend giving Bulls On Parade, Down Rodeo, and Killing In The Name a listen. Delarocha is in my top 5 of GREATEST rappers of all time. You read that right. RAPPERS.
He needs to educate himself before he plays this stainless music.
“FOH” 😂
What else can you say when Chris does that Chris stuff?
Chris Cornell described the lyrics as screaming at yourself in the mirror.
Great reaction, love the focus on the instrumental
Great reaction, brother. This is one where I gotta tell you to go back and check out the vid. Also, do Soundgo-Rusty Cage. You'll love it.
Yeah, you GOTTA do
the video!
Rage against the machine meets sound garden it’s gods work
Your face at 5:38 was my same reaction when I first heard that scream. Just out of this world.
You’re definitely gonna dig this song
This is the first song on their debut album, and with the very beginning of the song you knew you were in for one hell of a ride. From start to finish, it remains one of my all time most favorite albums and I always return to it on a weekly basis.
I love how almost EVERY reaction to that scream has multiple LEVELS of reaction, multiple reactions, to a SINGLE FUCKING WORD!! Chris was a truly unrivaled. A truly unfuckwithable talent
Love the channel Jay Rah. Remember the only rules for reacting are the ones you create. Do what you do, I'm loving following your journey
5:44 "get the fuck outta here bro" - that is one of the best reactions ive seen to that scream.
"His voice" Yessss! 😃😍😍😍
I heard tom talk about mimicking a helicopter with that guitar lol. Blew me away, once u learn, u cannot unhear! Im very visual, so I could literally see it- in tune with the sound
Love this song. The Video for this song is nothing but full out fireworks while jamming out 🔥💥💥💥😁
This song is so bass and driven. Add Tom’s nasty guitar and Chris ‘s rough vocals, perfection🤘🏻🔥❤️
Yes! Man you have found some really good stuff. Audioslave! They are amazing
So something cool about Tim Commerford's bass; on this album there's one clean dry signal and another louder signal with all the effects, including the distortion and wha. So you get clean bass with the wha adding sonic texture on the other channel.
You just won a new subscriber off of this reaction video. You get it. I am now a fan.
Hell yes!!!!! I remember when this album came out!!! After I graduated from college…Still in heavy rotation with my work out music 🎵
Sizzling spice for your ears. I love it.
That shit SPICYYYYY. 🔥😂
🙏👍💪💡 Cochise is the shit 💪
Chris was in Audio Slave and Sound Garden., plus other songs with different bands.
This guy doesn't know anything about who he is listening to.
You should check out their live concert in Cuba. They were the first American performers to be allowed to perform in Cuba. They put on a free concert and it was recorded for a DVD.
Such a great crunchy riff in this song
Best reaction to Chris’s sustain, like I how I felt the first time hearing
I've loved watching you fully embrace and fall in love with grunge and some of their amazing voices ❤ this is why I love reactor channels. Seeing someone hear something for the first time and just jam out to it!
Among the very best first tracks.
That Rollercoaster to the top of your fears then the #refuckingbuttle
Watch the official video by yourself if you really want to see the bomb go off... 😂!
You should watch.... FOO FIGHTERS - THE PRETENDER!!
Just subscribed to you today because of this reaction. Watched a documentary about the making of the video. They had to get Chris out of rehab long enough to do it and he went straight back.✌💜🎶RIPChris
From the #classicalbum released on this day in 2002 #audioslave #todayinmusichistory #musichistory #mandatorylisten #musthave #masterpiece #00salternative #audioslavehistory
Ha Ha!!! That reaction was awesome!!! :)
I'm glad you weren't distracted by the video on this one!
Hey bro! That Samurai Shamploo in your outro? Dope!!!!
You're a man of culture I see lol
Love your reactions.
Hey Brother! Subscribed! Keep cranking out the content
My favorite song of theirs I think, among many great options
Pure Rock N' Roll 🔥🖤😎
This was their first single from their first CD. People were waiting forever for that CD to drop and when it finally did, this was the first thing most people heard from Audioslave. Incidentally, there's a video on RUclips that's Audioslave's introduction to the world. They're performing live on the Marquis outside Dave Letterman's studio right on a busy New York City Street, I don't know if it's Broadway or 5th Ave or which but it's outside Dave's studio, and this was their first live performance. The video is about 20 minutes long. Maybe 5/6 songs
My new favorite RUclipsr
"beyond the wheel"soundgarden you've been warned, only one person can sing it.
The video for this song is great!
Haha that scream had you shook \w/
This is one you should attempt to watch the official video for. It amps it up even MORE!
That sound in the intro is Tom Morrello tapping a pen on the guitar strings
Jay - It's getting spicy already
Chris - Hold my Reaper Sauce
Great reaction Sir :)
Cochise ( pronounced Co-cheess: long e and an s sound, not z like in cheese ) was an Apache chief ( Chiracahua band ). 1800s
Don't know if the lyrics really have any link to the indian chief, though.
Great reaction!
You get it bro...I can tell
You will love "Reach Down" by Temple of the Dog, ANOTHER classic.
Dude this is the best video
ever made - totally kick your
ass!
Do it again and you can thank me later!
Official video.
Haven't seen the vid boss? Watch it on ur time🤘😎.. Liked/subbed n"dinged"🍻🤘
I told you ..already.........it's A Morello !!!! 🤭🤫👌
Listen to his first huge band Sound Garden. RIP Chris. 💔
Great job
Cochise was a famous Apache Indian Chief.
Make sure you watch the official video it's awesome!
The bass though
Chris was my cousin. Thank you for all the compliments and comments. We miss him dearly
I want to come out to this in football my senior yr on the beat drop
That would be hard lol
Subscribed..
Crazy lyrics music and vocals
00:05:32 It´s ABSURD!!
Audioslave - Hypnotize is an amazing track of theirs.
Slaves and Bulldozers from the same band. You will not regret it.
You fallin' down that rabbit hole of metal. Once that boulder starts rollin' down hill....NOTHING can stop it. Now You are ready for Metallica and Pantera. Keep the boulder a rollin. Cool cat in Dallas
Sorry to be late to the party! I don't think I've seen you rendered speechless, bro! LMAO! Now you know...Chris Cornell is da MAN!!
I remember buying this album when it came out and hearing this .it will beat your ass ,then spit on ya and throw a towel at ya while ya still down and it says.go clean yourself up!
Timmy C is one of the greatest bassists ever!
F*ck outta here bro love it lmao
This is straight out a RATM sound! De la Rocha should have sang this!
But I like Chris and soundgarden so much since the album superunknown and the lyrics are so powerful that at the end you just wanna put the song on repeat!
😂 do show me how to live by audioslave! That song will blow you away
Cochise is a famous NA who had white men come to his Res to ask about a missing child. Cochise denied having seen the child and suggested to check another Apache tribe. Cochise left and while he was gone his brother and his nephew were killed for not saying who had the child. Cochise declared war on the white man after that by robbing trains and killing the passengers. This is why he sings go and save yourself take it out on me.
IN the verses he want to Take all there pain and despair from from those who need it {Take IT OUT on ME).Kinda like a rock Jesus.
Right from the git...some Morello nastiness.
Audioslave - Shadow on the Sun. Chris is just tooooo fucking amazing. I think you would also enjoy Alice in Chains - Rain when I die =- )
Check out the third incarnation of the RAGE Profits of Rage. They took the political tradition of Rage Against the Machine to the next level.
