Chris came directly from rehab to this video shoot. This video is symbolized Audioslave coming together as a band. Chris is up top waiting, the others join, closing with a group hug. Chris is dearly missed, 🐐
I remember the 1st time I heard this song and saw the video, I was already a big RATM fan and I was instantly enamored with Audioslave and Chris. It's funny because I discovered grunge through Audioslave in a sort of backwards fashion, as it made me go and research all things Chris and that journey took me all the way back to Mother Love Bone. Today Soundgarden and AIC are some of my favorite bands and had I never heard Audioslave I might've never found them. Oh, and there's that pristine once in a life time pure gold master piece of an album that is Temple of the Dog. Thanks Chris, may your music forever live on!
Chris is the best! 3 bands and great solo stuff! Main vocalist for all of them. Beautiful, deep lyrics. Always on lists of top rock vocalists. For total banger check out Slaves and Bulldozers by Soundgarden. For a mellow awesome bluesy vibe check out his solo song When I’m Down live at the Troubadour. It will blow u away🙂
I really think Chris Cornell is one of the greatest singers of his generation. His range, his pitch, his breath control, everything, he's just incredible. I like all of the stuff and all of the bands and yeah I love Tom morello, and did you know he actually makes some of his own guitar effects as well? But I can't emphasize enough how much you need to go listen to Chris Cornell acoustic live. Just type that in to RUclips and you will find all kinds of stuff there are several from one concert or from a series of concerts that's just him and his acoustic guitar and a fair amount of Reverb from the room and whatnot. It'll just blow your mind. And here is a link to one that they use in a movie about the refugee plight in Syria and he contributed the final track and this is the video that goes with it, which is scenes from the documentary. It's one of his last things he did and it is so incredible and heartfelt. m.ruclips.net/video/tEpwvvyrAJU/видео.html
Please do yourself a favor and check out "Like a Stone" - probably Audioslave's best track, and a stunning showcase of Cornell's vocal capabilities. "I am the Highway" is also worth a listen.
The scream on this track is right up there with Roger Daltrey's in Won't Get Fooled Again. I've always called this 'The Scream II," lol. Any of Chris' projects are in my all time faves (SG, AS or solo). You may want to check out Audioslave's 'Show Me How To Live,' or Soundgarden's 'Burden in My Hand' next. Cheers!
Start doing Alice in Chains reactions, assuming you aren't already familiar. Peak of grundge music. Most thought provoking lyrics, metal guitar, and the voice of Layne Staley that is unmatched.
Chris Cornell wrote the lyrics of this song, which was common for him, whether it was Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave, abd his solo career, the man was a poet, so he had a way with words so he wrote so many songs, and wrote for other artists too, was also a compuser...
There a bunch of great songs on the three Audioslave albums! But if you're not familiar with Chris Cornell, you REALLY need to listen to some Soundgarden!!!!!
What a cool place ! I’ve camped there too. The best part of that trip was after getting back on I-10 we saw a perfect rainbow up ahead and wound up driving right through the middle of it.
This band was Rick Rubin’s idea. Obviously. The hilarious part is that neither Rick or Tom Morello had properly met Chris Cornell until they were actually trying to form the band, and they’ve both told the identical story about how the meeting went down in interviews and podcasts and it’s a hilarious story that y’all should research yourselves.
You’ve got to dig into Chris Cs solo stuff. Accoustic covers of imagine, Billie Jean, thank you and nothing compares to you will BLOW your mind. I’ll be watching
U gotta check out the whole of rages first album. Not a bad track. Chris cornells voice solo on acoustic is amazing too. Check out his versions of Billie Jean and nothing compares to you. Unbelievable!
RIP CHRIS YOUR ARE DEARLY MISSED!!

Time to explore Chris Cornell, mate. Best to start with Soundgarden as that is the iconic grunge band where he first earned his notoriety and fame.
Nobody can sing rock like Chris Cornell. His skill set is so deep.

Agreed, and his live acoustic version of like a stone is absolutely beautiful 👌

Audioslave might be my personal GOAT supergroup
More Audioslave, for sure. Any song will do.
Conrell one of the best voices in rock- we lost a good one- Cochise my favorite Audioslave track- man could scream like no other
You should check out SOUNDGARDEN. Maybe compare thier version of "rusty cage" to Jhonny Cash's version. I think you'll really dig both.

Nothing will ever top this song for getting me fired up!

Tim is killing it on the bass.

Great analysis as always! Stay awesome Syed!
Cochise was an Apache chief. One of the last to defy and fight against the Federal government. One of the most famous chiefs in our history.
Just a masterpiece
“A Fusion”, well fucken said bruh!
Great video sir awesome analysis fight the power 😀
More Chris Cornell, you'll thank me!!
I’m not exactly sure but this video seemed to represent that explosion of the two forces meeting.
This always makes me remember camping in the Cochise Stronghold in Pierce, AZ. Gorgeous place with lots of beautiful rattlesnakes.

Chris was a bottomless well of musical talent.
On one part, his guitar sounds like it's blasting out of boombox coming over a megaphone...

Please consider reviewing something (anything!) off of Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger album.
The scratching sound in the beginning was all Morello.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Chris Cornell was the best. My #1 singer.
More audio slave please
U gotta check out the whole of rages first album. Not a bad track. Chris cornells voice solo on acoustic is amazing too. Check out his versions of Billie Jean and nothing compares to you. Unbelievable!
you need to do soundgarden
Gotta explore Chris Cornell. Best rock singer of my generation.
Listen to Doesn’t remind me and react to that one
Huge Zeppelin influence here...
More TOOL soon?
Show Me How To Live by Audioslave Official Video, please react to it. You will love it 💜
Audioslave wasn't a political band. Chris Cornell wanted no part of that hypocritical shit.
Can't stand that cornball Rage nonsense.
Nothing will ever top this song for getting me fired up!
