See, you're hooked on Chris Cornell now, there's nothing you can do, just ride the ride :-) Audioslave; Rage Against the Machine with Chris in the vocal roll. Good stuff Maynard.
We miss YOU and love you Christopher John Cornell (né Boyle; July 20, 1964 - May 18, 2017) was an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock bands Soundgarden and Audioslave.
I also felt Chris was really, really into this song and his voice was outstanding and you can't forget the guitar and drums contribution to this gem. RIP Chris your music lives on.
I saw him during his solo tour and he was spot on with every song. He sang for 3 hours and gave his best with every song. No joking or playing around when singing. Afterwards he would joke but when singing, he was the man. And actually live, he was even better than his recorded studio music. A legendary voice. RIP
Definitely, Chris always completely submersed himself into the music..from his younger Soundgarden days and on, like Robert Plant or John Fogerty of CCR..them don't just perform a song, they deliver it..greatness
I was supposed to see him and his band, Soungarden, on May 17th 2017 at Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH. He passed away two days prior. That was a poignant weekend for sure. 😧
Chris Cornell solo album has a song Sunshower. Amazing vocal. A haunting song. Also have you done any Tool songs? Musicianship in that band is like a modern day Rush. You do Tool songs and you will get a big reaction as they have a very loyal fan base and they have a lot of good songs. I would start out with “The Pot” and see if you like that. Great reaction as always.
And on I read until the day was gone. And I sat in regret for all the things I've done. For all that I've blessed and all that I've wronged. In dreams until my death, I will wander on. Rest easy Chris. I hope you have finally found peace.😞❤️
I really enjoy your reactions because they are truly REACTIONS with some great observations and musical knowledge, not just someone sitting there listening to the video nodding.
like from Poland - good to know that brothas can get to know Audioslave, myself I'm a rap based guy but Chris had an amazing voice period! and exclamation point!
This is God Rock...their songs are God driven...in this song he's addressing God..."In your house I long to be Room by room patiently I'll wait for you there Like a stone I'll wait for you there Alone"
It has nothing compared to his cover of Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. I mean, the original is great, but it doesn’t give you actual goosebumps. Chris just does his own thing with that song and it’s amazing.
Picture yourself in a dusty, dark motel room on the side of the highway, a Gideon's Bible in a desk drawer soon becomes your companion for the evening..
That's a "flanger". You asked at 1:51 It essentially is the utilization of the doppler effect, with a speaker & a mic, by spinning the speaker in circles, in front of the microphone. Of course, most people just use good flanger pedals instead.
@@brentparks3669 Tom usually uses a Boss digital delay in the effects loop of his amp (all of his pedals run through there) so most likely that. Any reverb is probably the natural reverb of the room, since Tom also mics the crap out of his amp cabinet in studio and onstage.
Gotta do some classic southern rock.... Marshall Tucker Band - Can't you See, Allmon Brothers - Whipping Post, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man... maybe some ZZTop La Grange or 25 Lighters
What is your involvement with music? Just curious because you definately understand instrumentation. Chris sang 4 or 5 octaves. If you look for his videos he covers so many songs by different bands. He loved The Beatles and covers a few of their songs. I adored him and miss him a lot. We share the same birthday.
Every time I hear him sing it haunts me now. Rest In Peace, my beautiful brother. 💙
I remember when he died in 2017. The buildings in Seattle had their flags at half staff
Temple of the dog -say hello to heaven
Chris is my favorite singer of all time from any genre.
I miss Chris

Don't know if anyone mentioned this, but this video was filmed in Hendrix's old house. How cool is that? Legends upon legends. 😍
React to Temple Of The Dog- Hunger Strike
Best song ever, best voice ever!!!

Another good song by Audioslave is Revelations. Great song.
And on I read until the day was gone.
And I sat in regret for all the things I've done.
For all that I've blessed and all that I've wronged.
In dreams until my death, I will wander on.
Rest easy Chris. I hope you have finally found peace.😞❤️
All or them … born to do this❤️
The drummer played on the Black Sabbaths 13 album and played on tour with them
I really enjoy your reactions because they are truly REACTIONS with some great observations and musical knowledge, not just someone sitting there listening to the video nodding.
like from Poland - good to know that brothas can get to know Audioslave, myself I'm a rap based guy but Chris had an amazing voice period! and exclamation point!
I loved him 😢❤️.... The guitarist phenomenal
My favorite pole dancer at WRAP in White River Junction did a routine to this song forever seared my brain.
I agree with that dude below me...I am the highway..."show me how to live" is a banger
Man how do you not have more subscribers? You're the only reaction channel that knows anything about music lol.
The drummer always has a great sound!
RIP Chris
Show Me How To Live is a good one by Audioslave too.
I love your reactions, they're really some of my favorites. You can tell that you get into it and pay attention and feel stuff. 💙
The more I listen to it, the better it gets. Sorry I missed it when it was current. Same as Pearl Jam's mtv unplugged Black. Amazing performances.
Chris sings with everybody. Everybody loves him
This is God Rock...their songs are God driven...in this song he's addressing God..."In your house I long to be Room by room patiently
I'll wait for you there
Like a stone
I'll wait for you there
Alone"
Please react to Chris Cornell's cover of Princes Nothing Compares to U. You won't be disappointed
It has nothing compared to his cover of Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. I mean, the original is great, but it doesn’t give you actual goosebumps. Chris just does his own thing with that song and it’s amazing.
Audioslave - rolling wheels 🔥
Thank you
It's called rock music!
I like it when I run across a reaction with a real musician who understand break downs and transitions. Much love subscriber
YES he’s into it- hey you’re alright :)))
One of the greatest bands put together, Rage Against the Machine and Chris Cornell.
U r a genius... love your reactions and am now a subscriber
Check out Soundgarden, Mind Riot from Motorvision performance

And then I got to be the 420 Like. Thank you for the honor!
love you man what youu doin
RIP CHRIS
Whenever you watch Chris and Eddie Vedder music vids, specially live performances you can tell they felt every song/lyrics. You rarely see that tbh
Chris Cornell the best singer of my generation and all time. generation X.
So easy and he’s just setting in a chair with his legs crossed
I've always felt this song and the album has a very religious feel to it.
Gotta be one of his pedals causing that! Reverb? Spring reverb? With a delay? He’s got a unique sound he’s stuck with for years.
to spicy🤣🤣
You should check out soundgarden-loud love
Jay did u dig tom morello on guitar..killer.. He was previously in rage against the machine.
Chris GOAT
You need to do his solo accoustic work. Billie Jean, Nothing compares to you, Thank You, Imagine, Scream
That's a "flanger". You asked at 1:51
It essentially is the utilization of the doppler effect, with a speaker & a mic, by spinning the speaker in circles, in front of the microphone. Of course, most people just use good flanger pedals instead.
Thanks for playing Chris Cornell
1:55 Tom used a Boss TR-2 Tremolo during this era, so it's most likely that. The solo is a Whammy set two octaves up with a long delay for the echo.
Delay pedal or on the amp? Could he be using some reverb also?
@@brentparks3669 Tom usually uses a Boss digital delay in the effects loop of his amp (all of his pedals run through there) so most likely that.
Any reverb is probably the natural reverb of the room, since Tom also mics the crap out of his amp cabinet in studio and onstage.
Don’t know if you checked out Rage Against The Machine yet but that’s Tom Morello’s first band and their sick! Check them out!
Gotta do some classic southern rock.... Marshall Tucker Band - Can't you See, Allmon Brothers - Whipping Post, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man... maybe some ZZTop La Grange or 25 Lighters
Listen to “Getaway Car” by Audioslave. You won’t be sorry.
Also, “Original Fire” is, well it’s fire 🔥
Also check out chris cornell doin a prince song-" nothing compares to you".
Check out Hurry Sundown by the Outlaws. I got into them recently. Great riffs and vocals. Some sort of gunfighter song.
In some ways this song and video are reminiscent of The Seed 2.0 by The Roots.
Yo yo yo yo yo and yo yo yo! I’m the coolest yo
Soundgarden !
Oh I see you reacted to “The Pot” already. What about 7empest from Tool?
the book he's reading is the bible this was a cry for help!!!
Good call. It's tremolo
Temple of the dog hunger strike
Have you done "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley yet? Another voice-driven song full of passion.
Rip
