    Thank you for being humble enough to include you going back in to re apply the nape area. You could have edited that out but I'm glad you didn't. Things like that actually happen in the salon and everyone can learn from that! ☺️ This is just so gorgeous! Brought so much life back to her hair.

      I love that she did that too, hair is so unpredictable, but I love that she included that AND also didn't try to hide it from the client who I am sure would have loved it either way. It came out perfect and so natural!

    This turned out gorgeous. My salon did a shadow root on my platinum hair today. I wanted to cry. Literally, they but a dark root down so far that if I put my hair in a pony tail you dont see the blonde until past the elastic band :( I'm a natural very dark brown/ soft black and have went thru alot of time and money to get a white platinum that I ultimately wanted to blend down with my shadow root to make look like white and tiny black pieces. There is no blending at all. The shadow root looks like a natural root I just grew out. Ughh.. thank you for the video. I am going to make that hair salons manager watch it. I kept telling them not to take it down that far and blend it. I repeatedly told them to keep some blonde strands on top to blend with it. They didnt. My bangs and a good inches behind my ears are all dark root. Not any blonde blending.

      You should it get the color oops kit they have it in any drugstore and Walmart is about 13 or 15 dls and it will remove your dark color and without damage at all leave you again with your blonde and you can still recolor it same day I always use it if I don't like the color I use sometimes is too dark and I don't like it

    • @AlexsisMae
      @AlexsisMae  7 лет назад +12

      +Shannon VanFleet it's such a good one! There's always the problem of filling the hair when doing the reverse sombre because you can fill before hand, so the 06na gives the control while the 07GB helps to fill and control the hair from going too ashy.

    I might sound dumb but I'm going to get my hair done next week and this is exactly the look I want, my hair right now is light brown/dark blonde but I want to go blonder and I've been really blonde before it just looks super fake having that light of a color at my roots so I want to try something like this so maybe it'll look more natural but what exactly do I ask for? And would it be more or less work than in this video?

    I thank you for the technique you show. I have been a Redken user for many years, I never mix shades eq cream with shades eq cover plus. These are totally two different entities. I do not recommend mixing these. This also holds true to cover fusion and color fusion. You will get a much prettier tone using the right mixtures.

    love love Amazing!... I have a client who is as light but very ash blonde. She wants more of a grow out look than you gave this gal. So I will be applying the root color down further. Becuz I will not be filling her hair Im nervous that she to will get blotchy. Any advice to keep this from happening.( Possible more gold to ash ratio?) My clients roots appear to be approx 7 level ash in color. I want her root color to be cool but don't want to mud out the color. Any advice would be great this will be my first reverse balayage. btw My clients hair is very long and she no longer wants to be an all over blonde. Thank you so much.

    Amazing video ! Question !: for being platinum and wanting an ash root ,. Sometimes when I use ash colours it still goes warm!!! U added gold ,. I can't it will go to warm but ash isn't enough . I don't know what to do ,. I usually use Aveda colour and we have a fill and fix formula ,. But it's completely diff from any other colour line !
    Should I do a neutral and then ash ?

    • @AlexsisMae
      @AlexsisMae  7 лет назад +1

      +Kirsten Koepke it depends on the color line. Each one has a different tonality. This formula is perfect for when I use it, and I just shift ratios when working on clients. Warm fills, and ash corrects.

    What if ur client has dark roots like a 4/5 And has a lot of grey so u have to use a permanent color? This is exactly the situation of one of my clients except her regrowth is bad. She usually gets to a level 6 with like 6N and 20vol. (Matrix) but do I do her regrowth first and then come in with the toners? How do I keep the blonde pieces? Idk why I can't figure this out

      +Megan Danielle no it's true to level! The cream gives you more control and lasts longer.

    You should cut the ends, that will make the hair appear much thicker and healthier

      Have a magical day she can only really do what the client wants. Sometimes people with long hair, particularly blonde that may break, are really attached to their length and to even trim it is a huge deal.

      Oh, my ends was really damaged once and I naturally have thick hair and it began breaking upwards because I used alot of heat to straighten it and brushed it while it was wet and so on but when I cutted off 3 inches at the salon it completely revived my hair. I know that she loves her hair because I do too but it was the best thing I have done for my hair. I have stopped with heat for a long time now and used hair masks to keep it healthy. It is bleached once and colored at the salon ( it is caramel/chocolate brown ) and it is super healthy now. I get why she doesn't want to cut it off but it doesn't look that good anymore, that was just my point, a little trim would make her hair look much thicker

    Okay I love this look, but how do u do touch ups when the grey hairs start to come back, with out having to do the entire process all over again. seriously though. I need to know. 😣

      Renee Gearst you just touch up the roots, the dimension should still be there. Sometimes you have to redo the entire process because double process blondes tend to be porous and the color bleeds out. If not then you can just do a regular retouch

      +Renee Gearst exactly what Morgan said! Once you've established the color placement you just touch up the regrowth area with a base color, and every other time or so you throw in a few foils to keep the color up!

    Ive been using 9T and 9V... sometimes separately... sometimes as a concoction on my hair for forever now. I feel like it almost just washes out after the second wash though (which sucks) Never tired 9P. do you like it any better??

    • @AlexsisMae
      @AlexsisMae  7 лет назад +6

      +K B for every minute it's on the hair that's one wash. So you really need to be diluting with clear in order to allow for full processing time of 20-25 minutes. I work with T and V but I like the P for the main part of my formula when doing light blondes because it doesn't get muddy or dark. I add in T and V like a booster, again unless I'm dealing with serious warmth.

      Yeah last time i left 9T and clear on for longer then 10 min i had to deal with gray hair for a couple weeks. Agh. Thanks for the tip, just grabbed some P today!

    Wondering why you used 10 volume developer, versus shades eq developer? Did you want more deposit?
