At 0:46, this was the most incredible play of the whole game by the shortstop, Chase Anderson, who is the manager's son.

Chikodroff did amazing batting but it came down to a bunt by Hunter Anderson and a misplay to win. Amazing job to both teams.

Uuuf. That play on the bottom of the 6th, where the pitcher cut off the throw from left field to home. I think they had the kid out at home.

Why wasn't the first baseman at first base?
In the heat of the moment, I wonder if the first baseman thought he could field the bunted ball and quickly tag the batter before he got past. Unfortunately the second baseman either didn't have time to cover first (he was playing quite a distance from the bag), or got so focused on the action that he simply forgot to cover first!
Congrats to both teams to go so far. It's a shame the game ends with an error. The pitcher should have just held onto the ball and the runner would not have scored. I don't mean to rain on the parade but I question the ages of these kids. Chinese Taipei was banned for years for playing overrage kids. Seems they are back at it again. Check their history.
I feel sorry for Taiwanese lad #14. He must be feeling terrible.

Pretty horrendous umpiring. First, the award a batter first base on a hit by pitch when the ball was DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE PLATE! What the fuck kind of coach tells their players to stand with their HEELS on the inside line of the batter's box? And then the check swing (possibly a makeup call with the 1st base umpiring realizing how awful a call the HBP was.)
Congrats to Lake Mary Fl for winning the World Series. The umpires tried so hard to give the game to Chinese-Taipei with all the bad calls. LL has to find better umpires for these kids.
GREAT GAME! The TV commentators were perplexed as to why the Taiwan head coach / manager didn't have his lead-off batters bunting to advance the runner on 2nd base in the top of the 8th inning. Taiwan is known for its "small ball" so this is what I expected. Instead, Florida did what Taiwan should have done and bunted. The decision NOT to bunt might have cost Taiwan the game.
