Don't worry, they'll bond in their own time. I have a cat and a greyhound who were unsure about each other at first. Now they are inseparable. They curl up with each other on cold nights and share their body warmth. The dog will even let the cat share food out of his bowl while he is eating! It's so fantastic watching them become best friends.
I have been looking at this a multitude of times and I really enjoy how jealous and insecure Bailey becomes, I like when he turns his back and pretend not to see.
This kitten is maybe a little afraid. Anyway it is by far too young . It must be with its mother. Kittens must stay with their mother until they are 12 to 13 weeks old .
