Dakota's story has been requested over a dozen times and it is a frustrating and tragic one. There were so many people who wanted to love and give a good home to Dakota but CPS was not about to let that happen. What are your thoughts on the approval process for these two foster parents. Furthermore, do you feel Jennifer's husband, principal Robert Wilson, should face charges for not fulfilling his duty as a mandated reporter? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

But then no one case the same , when I was young child my family broke up and we were initially sent to foster care where the care given was great then we were taken from foster care to be cared for by family untill father of family could take us , worst mistake ever,
I would have been safer in Scotland's social services 😢😢😢

She'd have had chairs creak and break, problems standing on steps or anything else that needs her weight putting on it. Bicycles, stair lifts, trampolines, even small lifts usually have a maximum weight of 22 stone! a child's head isn't designed to have anyone lay on it, whatever their size. I once dated a martial artist. He was also a body builder. And i was also a martial artist.
This man was about 280 lbs of sheer muscle and height. He'd never spar with me because, according to him, he wasn't competent enough to spar with someone so small. Either he'd hurt me, or I'd hurt him (as small stature is physically useful in our art; Southern Style Kung Fu.)
Could I have bested him? Maybe. Maybe not. He never took that risk outside of class. He was a gentle giant. He knew how big he was. And, the thing is, smaller people can dominate Southern Style. But he was good. And he never wanted to accidentally knock me out. Because, to him, I looked very small.
To him, it wasn't even a question of gender. He didn't want to ACCIDENTALLY hurt a smaller opponent.
And while I was an excellent student (I own push hands), he knew his size and strength.
      Don't sit on children.

My mother died. She abused my bio brother and me for years. Had him at almost 600 lbs, on 47 different meds, and she had him going to multiple specialists.
Dcs got involved. I had to fight tooth and nail to keep him. They fought me with every fiber of their being, and took me to court 13 times in 13 months.
I finally adopted him. But every night, I was scared I would lose him.

Why does it seem like when a child is thriving in a foster care situation, that DCS removes them immediately from that home?

    • @lornetc
      @lornetc 3 месяца назад +208

Because the goal is "reunification". (IE, for the sate workers getting megabux per hour, do as little work as possible until they meet their minimum for a full pension) They don't want the foster kids to start to "love" their foster parents because then they might not want to leave when the time comes to put them back with their slimeball drug addicted parents. They want the kids as miserable, confused and tired of being in foster care as possible so that when they go back "home" (even if home is awful, disgusting and unsafe,) they wont want to be back in the system, so they won't tell anyone theyre being abused.

The best example I can use to try and get neurotypical people to understand is this; Would you like it if you were on a ladder, and someone kept cooing and talking annoyingly to you and even tried pinching or grabbing you?? No. You'd naturally lash out and get furious at being bothered while doing something that could cause harm or damage to you by falling off said, hypothetical ladder. He had to have many stitches on his inner thigh. CPS refuses to allow us to see him because we are grandparents. We have to drop his gifts at the office and can't even watch the expression on his face as he opens them. We are heart broken and just as this family, we continue to fight and never forget about him. He turned 6 in June. Last year we gave him a party at Chuckie Cheese but were unable to even see him this year. I said something similar in my own comment. Something absolutely was going on! Like… was he the illegitimate child of someone powerful? I can’t fathom why they kept taking him out of homes where he was thriving! Even stating he would do best with families without children but all I have heard from the other families was that he was fine with children? And if that was the case what about the 21 year old who petitioned to get him back? Just him and not him and his sister? I never heard of him and his wife having kids.
My conspiracy brain is telling me that there was something about Dakota. I mean… he was put in multiple homes where he thrived and they kept pulling him. A part of me wonders if they placed the children in homes expecting to hear bad news… and when they heard nothing but good things.. they yanked him until finally placing him with that land whale (I never insult someone… but I just can’t with her) and he dies in her care! The fact that they act like she wasn’t really responsible and gave her such little time…
I wish I could dig into every single person connected with his case because I am convinced he was placed with her on purpose.

I was thankful to never have been put in foster care. I was at an orphanage from when I was born to 6 months, and I'm very fortunate to have my adoptive parents be good parents. I was a troubled kid, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, everything. I don't remember much before I was 14, but apparently when I was 7 I had my first suicide attempt. Throughout the years all the way up until I was 16, I was on so many medications, that they ended up hurting me more than helping me. I was being over medicated and I was lucky placed in a respite place that actually cared about me, and decided to see how I did off of all my medications. Lo and behold, I was doing better OFF of them than I was ON. I faintly remember some instances when I was much younger, maybe around 8 or 9? Where I got physically violent with my mother. She's a bigger woman, but despite receiving bruises from my outbursts, she always made sure she was situated in a way she wouldn't crush me when she would bear hug me to prevent me from hitting her. But the services that claim to "help" people, while some are great, looking back at my past, a lot were not so great. I had one psychiatrist that wouldn't even listen to my mom when she said a medication wasn't working or was making it worse. I had another psychiatrist prescribe me an antidepressant with a stimulant and the combination made me so much more aggressive I physically ripped my mom's shirt apart, when I was only 11. Keep in mind I've also always been a small person. I'm 25 now and only 5'1 and 112 pounds, so me at 11 was even smaller. I also remember a time to when I was out in a mental place called Marillac and despite me and my parents saying I didn't react well to stimulants, they forced me to take one. The outcome? My blood pressure was 63 over 42. I was barely conscious and they almost had to give me an IV. Some of these places just really only care about the money, not the people, and it's unfortunate for the facilities they are great at their job. It makes people doubt them, become hesitant to ask for help, and lose trust in those we're supposed to lean on when we need help.

Yeah sure...if it's investigated with incredible nuances. There are people within the system who do their jobs, or are even prevented from doing their job because of bad case management from higher positions, so the outcome literally was out of their hands. Judges are a different story altogether. But not every agent involved, say in DCS, can just be guilty by association. But I agree, there should be more accountability.

I also don’t understand why his family members , nor the young foster dad, wasn’t allowed to adopt him! It’s like they found the worst possible situation, and wanted him to suffer! There needs to be a law passed holding CPS responsible! I know Anyia’s father, was trying to get that law passed under Anyia’s law. Hopefully it will pass, in every state, and people will finally be held accountable for their massive corruption and mistakes!
