How To Redeem an iLok Activation Code (iLok License Manager)

- When you buy a plugin that uses iLok, you'll need to redeem the activation code before you get the license in your account, here's how to do that.

There are two ways to redeem your activation code and activate your license.
You could install the plugin, and then open the plugin in your DAW and follow the prompts to get your license, but I like to do it manually.
The great thing about doing it manually is you will have the latest version of the iLok License Manager, you can activate the license and install the plugin at a later date, and when you go to use your plugin it will be ready to go.
Today, most iLok licenses can be placed on the computer hard drive, so you don't need a physical iLok key (this varies between plugins).
Whether you activate to a physical iLok dongle or to the computer, you will still need to install the plugin on any computer you want to use it on.
You can also move your license between the iLoks and Computers in your iLok account.

Fucking lies. Auto-Tune Central downloads it for you. And that license code have letters which iLok don't allow you to insert.

I have installed Auto Tune I’ve activated my license on central but when I try to run it on my Daw (FL STUDIO) it takes me to Ilok for a code?! I wasn’t received an ILOK code???

Older versions of Auto Tune used iLok, the latest version does not. If you have a license that is activated in Antares Central, make sure you update to version 9.1

I have an ilok flash that came with a soundcard I bought years ago is there a way I can format the flash the flash so I can use it as a regular flash?
No, its a proprietary unit. Even if you could find some way to format it to Fat32 or exFat, the size would be so tiny it wouldn't be worth it.

Most companies will send you an email with activation code, so check your spam folder. It may take a few hours to receive. Some companies will ask for your iLok ID when you purchase a plugin, in that case they will send the license to your iLok account. You would then need to open the iLok License Manager, find the license under the AVAILIBLE Tab. Click the Deposit Date filter to get the latest licenses at the top. Then drag the license to an iLok or Computer.

The worst thing is that they charge me to transfer the license for the equipment that I'm only going to sell because iLOK prevents it from working!
