Really good pointers, especially the one where you encourage newer streamers to actually stream LESS. Sometimes you just get caught up in the 'grind' of streaming 8+ hours per day, even though the returns are miniscule. Getting my feet wet with producing content on other platforms has opened my eyes to how much more return you can get for your time. Great content as usual, thank you! 💓
Questionb as a fellow streamer myself, what type of content? I have an instagram where i upload footage/highlights. But arent sure im doing it right or even seeing a return from it.
100% streaming less helps a lot. I've been streaming 2-3 hours, 5 days a week and i find is so much easier to maintain super high energy and not fall into the trap of sitting there with a blank expression
I got my Twitch Affiliate status yesterday, I feel so great about it. I love my little community so far we have such an amazing time on stream! Your videos helped me with certain things and I just wanted to say thank you to you for what you do. You’re awesome!
I feel many mistakes streamers make is because they’re rushing into it instead of taking their time to figure out what kind of streamer they want to be.
The true way to make money from twitch is to take your friends hostage and force them to donate to your stream. Works every time 😂 Edit: Thanks for the likes and here a tip if you don’t have any friends, kidnap some rich person lol
Great advice as always. I run a business IRL & only stream part-time. What you said about focusing on growth over revenue is absolutely spot on. Deliver a great experience to your clients/customers/users and you will never need worry about money. It is also worth mentioning that focusing on growth and user experience is also key to tapping into word-of-mouth recommendations. Eg Hey there's this really cool guy I follow on YT who has great info on streaming. I'll be tweeting shortly :)
Just cracked my first $100 on twitch and man it’s cool and all but your videos like make me even hungrier to get out there and keep doing the damn thing. Absolutely loving the content! Keep it up!
I love the Golden Apple / Just any Apple example and taking time to climb the tree; it is genuinely the best way to describe growth for not just Twitch/RUclips but Life in general.
hey I love your channel and me myself is trying to grow on twitch! just a reccomendation, I would love for you to creat a "stream review" where someone can donate to you and they get featured on the stream review where you diagnose one of their streams live.
I am about to get back into streaming again. I have been taking my sweet time with it because I have a 40+ hour a week job and a family to support. Hopefully I can make something of it one day. I do appreciate your videos and advice. They have helped me out quite a bit. Hopefully I watch one of your streams someday. I haven't because I work the graveyard shift unfortunately. I have followed your channel. Keep up the good work!
I have a friend who had been streaming on Twitch for over a year and was apart of a "stream team". When I started, all I had to do was ask him to help me out and I would have had 50 followers within mins. But I wanted it on my own and it was a oh so satisfying moment when he came into my channel after about two weeks (the day I became an affiliate) and shouts, "WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN!?" Referring to my sub button.. It was such a oh so sweet moment! lol
That was a good video. The ending made me laugh. Gj. I'd like to see an Instagram or RUclips optimization video for twitch streamers. I guess we have other chances to get into these platforms than 'natives'.
I started streaming every single day for almost 4 months, then scaled back to 6 days a week. Lately I've scaled back to 5 days a week and it already feels like I'm not streaming enough, so hearing you say 'Stream 3 days a week' to give yourself enough time to make other content is a little shocking.. But I know you're right. Maybe I'll scale back to 4 days a week soon.
Great idea about the charity button. As I was listening to you I had already decided St. Judes would be my first as that is the charity we already give to each year. The place is amazing, and can use all the help they can get. Thanks for the idea of doing it on my stream!
Ay man I wanna say thank you for giving me the inspiration I needed to grow my channel. Right now I'm very small on twitch but I feel that you have already helped me improve my stream. I have went and spent about an hour trying to configure my stream so I could cater to any viewers and potential followers that comes by, even tho I havent exactly grown yet I just wanted to tell you thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Another Great video!! I'm just about to start my twitch streams in two weeks, your videos have given me great advice on everything. I'm excited to join the community, chill and let the money come later
Hey man love your content I would love a video discussing how much you make off of RUclips videos and ad revune specifically. I’m pretty sure you do yt part time and would love to know how much you make and your anylitics. I know this is personal but It would help many fellow youtubers❤️
Ma mans is deep. He talked about the reason most fail is by trying to make money and not grow and at the end wraps it up with GIVING. The studies are true and not only does giving help others it assures in many ways that you never are controlled or love your money wich will help tremendously with keeping the prespective of not trying to make money wich by doing wont leave you crippled if you dont and that's life isn't it? BRO! IM LOVING THIS!
Hey Alpha, i m new in you re stream so i enjoy big time you re advice towards twitch. You really inspired me and i ll keep watching all of you re videos from now on, keep up the good work that you do .With respect Daniel.
Was a Hobby. But more lately I've been thinking about it more as a career. But trying to change a hobby channel into a professional channel I feel will be hard, as allot of people already know my content isnt the most exciting. Trying to change that, and dont want to just give up the channel name and start anew. Would like to keep it and turn it around with some good old fashioned elbow grease lol. Love the videos.
It's definitely tough, I've moved primarily to Twitch and therefore RUclips has slowed - I'm intending to keep working full-time, but I'd like to make something of this part-time when I'm not at work. That makes it tricky to keep both platforms running full steam ahead - it seems like growing on one is tough enough, let alone 2+! They end up working together though it seems. As far as marketable skills go, I could start offering work in that regard. Help with voice work/recording voice, teaching speech technique (dynamics/inflection, how to speak or read things like news stories), guitar lessons, i dunno! That sort of thing. Write an e-book, make songs. Figuring it out is a tough part!
The main thing that separates Harris from any other tip videos is how straight to the point he is, he has no shame telling us he had a bad earn one month, and then by doing the tips he’s sharing with us, for free, over quadrupled his monthly income the following months
Man man. I tried to hate on you. I really did. I tried to pass you off as the run of the mill, surface level, top 5 broad tips channels BUT! You give the not so common sense things. You give the business man things. The deeper things that people need to hear. Thanks bro.
Gracias por los consejos en verdad siento que me he quedado atorado en 800+ golpes desde diciembre y tus palabras y vídeos me hacen querer seguir creciendo. Bendiciones y saludos desde El Salvador
Hey man, what lights are you using? If I turn on my DIY studiolights for my facecam it completely kills my background lights. But you dont seem to have that issue. How to do that?
Right now just a fun hobby . Could never leave my family out too dry financially. My job sucks right now but it pays the bills and a little more so ... unless the pay is “promised” can leave . But I love too stream when I can and make people laugh and forget about life for a little while
I got a question about the stream team part. I am a part of a gaming community. The community has a team on twitch. All i have on my profile is a banner for the community because i support them. Is this gona destroy my oppertunity in the long run? There is none contract signed here. Because this an open community for everyone not only a stram community. Tanks for answers
I'm still a very small twitch streamer, if i want to use RUclips as well, what type of content should i be putting on their? I've hear that i shouldnt use "clips" from my stream. Any advice?
I had a dream that I had 28 viewers on twitch and I was so happy and was laughing and making jokes but then I open my chat to interact with them, then they all left. :(
So I have no interest what so ever in creating content on RUclips, but from what I have been reading and watching it seems like a good way to drive traffic to Twitch. I feel like the big catch to that working is that you ALSO have to have traffic on RUclips. Would creating short content and trying to expand my instagram work? That is the place that I have the most followers currently.
Read. Your. Contracts. Then send a revision. That's what I did. I don't allow a group I make content with to own my content or tell me what brands I can partner with, regardless of who they are branded with. I mean, I'm small now...but what about the future? Read. The. Contract!! Protect yourself.
I managed to become an affiliate in a matter of 2 weeks of steaming. But stopped a couple months in due to needing surgery, and life took over. I'm struggling to get the energy to get back into streaming (between working and mehs). Struggling also with self esteem issues regarding streaming. Feeling that I'm too boring af to keep people entertained. Any suggestions on how to get over it?
DUDE! I just quit my six figure job (of 10 years) to start streaming, with no other income. I can't THANK YOU enough for taking the time to make vids like this and for your support and help to the community. It really helps and keeps me motivated when I know that I am walking a very difficult path (and probably will get my butt kicked plenty!). Still, this beats spending the next ten years in a office box. Much love dude.
What does the permanent charity button do for your taxes? Can you talk about how a full time content creator deals with taxes? It's a great time for some "creator and taxes" content I suspect.
I know every pc dude hates mobile gaming, but what do you think streaming a mobile device will do in the future or if it even has a future. I know I’m at the top 5% with skill level, I’ve been playing PUBG mobile.... also will we see you at Dreamhack Atlanta?
Who's tryina make Twitch their full time job? Who's just enjoying it as a hobby?
I'm tryna make it my full time job!!!
Alpha Gaming I’m just trying to make it a hobby till I get at least kinda big (aka even a twitch partner)
I dont even stream I just like your videos lol
its super discouraging to stream to myself what r ur tips?
Trying, slowly learning bits and pieces
Really good pointers, especially the one where you encourage newer streamers to actually stream LESS. Congrats man!
Congrets! also.. do you maybe have some tips for a beginning streamer?
I feel many mistakes streamers make is because they’re rushing into it instead of taking their time to figure out what kind of streamer they want to be.
"Then subscribe with twitch prime."
I love you, man. Thank you for all you do for us.
The true way to make money from twitch is to take your friends hostage and force them to donate to your stream. Works every time 😂
Edit: Thanks for the likes and here a tip if you don’t have any friends, kidnap some rich person lol
Makes sense
Not if your friends are as broke as you are
@@joshmkl lol true
It worked for me
wanna become friends? :D
I stream on RUclips for a hobby. Love always watching your videos for tips. Every who streams. Keep on grinding. I believe in all of you!
thanks! might sound stupid but "I believe in all of you!" gave a litle extra spark of motivation! do you maybe have any tips on building a community?

Axy “BubboClub” :)
Top notch video Doc. As always. Never loose a video.

Love the apple analogy so true thanks again for the sound advice.
Videos are insanely informative. Appreciate all the work you put in!
That was a good video. The ending made me laugh. Gj.
I'd like to see an Instagram or RUclips optimization video for twitch streamers. I guess we have other chances to get into these platforms than 'natives'.
Yes please !
same here! no clue how to build a community from other platforms. i'm just interacting some with other people, but how do you build from there?
Picking up more subs everyday man!! Good for you dude!!

I am working hard to grow my channel on Twitch and would love to take streaming on full time if the time ever comes I can!
Holy shit I just realized you're that guy from the one vine that exploded years ago.. MIND BLOWN. Small world.
Vilex what vine?
Ay man I wanna say thank you for giving me the inspiration I needed to grow my channel. Right now I'm very small on twitch but I feel that you have already helped me improve my stream. That's a crazier video, amazing idea of showing people.
I feel more and more motivated after every one of your videos. Thank you for the education and advice
Big fan Harris!!! Every video such a banger!

Pinkmen you give me hope ,thx. I was thinking this streaming thing would not work
Another Great video!! I'm just about to start my twitch streams in two weeks, your videos have given me great advice on everything. I'm excited to join the community, chill and let the money come later

Sick in one month you earned just enough to buy one of those mics!

Does somebody know a site / designer for pixelart gif alerts ? 😅
This was a great video. Especially the last part.
I like your channel very much!
But Streaming in twitch not popular in my country!
Can you make a video on how to grow your RUclips Gaming channel?
Gracias por los consejos en verdad siento que me he quedado atorado en 800+ golpes desde diciembre y tus palabras y vídeos me hacen querer seguir creciendo. Bendiciones y saludos desde El Salvador
Hey man, what lights are you using? If I turn on my DIY studiolights for my facecam it completely kills my background lights. But you dont seem to have that issue. How to do that?
I'm curious where you were able to find what percentile of twitch you were in?
You can find that info on this site twitchtracker.com/falcodrin
Great tips! Never a disapoment to watch!
great video, thank you.
subbed, liked, belled up.
Those badges for subs, is that possible to make off the iPhone/iPad
What is something to offer?
What would stream teams, endorsements and sponsors take as an offer?
What colored lights do you use in your background?
Sadly i will be in texas in may but the weekend b4 dreamhack
Whats the best editing software to grt i have filmora but i cant seem to put letters on it like i would like to when somone talks.
Excellent video, my guy.

Too much warp stabilization on the first music video clip... lol! Had those glitches too before!
I love your content man I watch every video
trust yourself - but read that fine print - devil in the details and that is where they like to lurk.
I'm still a very small twitch streamer, if i want to use RUclips as well, what type of content should i be putting on their? I've hear that i shouldnt use "clips" from my stream. Any advice?
If my parents ever gave me an allowance I would ask them to do it on stream through donations
how old are you? to please don't do that
I had a dream that I had 28 viewers on twitch and I was so happy and was laughing and making jokes but then I open my chat to interact with them, then they all left. :(

How do you set up the charity button. I want to be able to give back on my twitch streams.
Please do a tutorial on how
I want a ten story pyramid!!!!! Like... tomorrow!
Read. Your. Contracts. Then send a revision. That's what I did. I don't allow a group I make content with to own my content or tell me what brands I can partner with, regardless of who they are branded with. I mean, I'm small now...but what about the future? Read. The. Contract!! Protect yourself.

I legit need to know what game was at the end of this vid xD
I hope I can get it in my region!!! LOL
Do you script out your videos or ad lib a lot?
This is a really good video. I am trying to grow my youtube channel then bring those subscribers and viewers to my twitch!
DUDE! I just quit my six figure job (of 10 years) to start streaming, with no other income.
