Looks great, Wish it had rimbrakes instead cause the brakedisc really is ugly :/ (but I guess that black thing is to take away some heat from the disc so it does not warp as easy)
It's hard to tell since there will be another design used by rivals: Pinarello FS, which stabilizes the frame, not just rider's upper body. With one-design race rule, I'd bet for Sagan. He even has that body composition what most of the P-R winners have. But with bike compliance tech involved, I just wish him good luck and hope for his win.
I think it’s awesome that Sagan and his team allow his bike to be reviewed in this manner. It’s also awesome that GCN has the reputation to be trusted to do it. Great job guys! Sagan hasn’t been in his best form lately, but maybe he can find what he needs for this race
Thanks Ollie a real tech video about one of the best world road racing cyclists bikes ,plenty of built in comfort for one of the toughest races in the world .
Si has never mentioned his 'stats' but from the looks of things he'd make Oli a very jealous man lol. Either that or he has a novel solution for spare inner tubes storage 😮
Figures: Just purchased my new 2018 Roubaix Ultegra last August, and already it is obsolete. It rides so sweetly with the Future Shock thing, though, that I hardly notice the bumps. And yes, with the 28mm tires, I can run 105psi in front, due to the FS reducing the jarring effect on my old wrists. Not gonna let NewBikeEnvy interfere with my purchase, though. Looks like it’d cost over US$10K to duplicate Peter Sagan’s sweet ride. Gotta find a channel to watch the ride on Sunday! Godspeed, Peter!
Yeah, not really sure why they did that considering there's disc specific Roval SLX 50s isn't there? Edit: will be because they only do tubular rims in rim break format.
Love the look of the new Roubaix and the paint job of the Sagan special looks about as bling as you can get. The only downside to how great it looks is that it makes my own Roubaix (model year 2012) look pretty old fashioned - Zertz inserts anyone?
No Ollie, you are not Peter Sagan. I also use the same frame-size, crank length and pedals. I now discover that I also use the same saddle and bar tape as well. I am Peter Sagan. And so is my wife.
@@sullysullster8217 I think the Pinerello shock design is paving the way of the future with millisecond electronic sensing and then shutting off and suspending the whole bike but allowing it to stay rigid. The Specialized FS design is much cruder and limited as the design is based on not enough tech access. The Future Shock will soon join Specialized design graveyard along side of Zertz and Cobble Gobbler. I think a good bet for the future will be electronic disc braking too as the tech has been already proven and established in motorized vehicles. Just need to being the weights down in the future due to battery required but things will get there eventually..
I find it interesting that it’s displayed on a stand that is off level...lifting the rear wheel. It makes the top tube level and in this position it’s a moderately attractive bike. However, it become quite a bit less attractive with the sloping top tube in a normal position. Perhaps the slope allows for a longer seatpost with greater compliance? Still, it’s not a unattractive to me as some commenters state, but it’s not a stunner.
I notice that Sagan gave his saddle an inclination. There is maybe 1cm gap between the nose and the back of the saddle. I heard that it helped to release pressure on the perineum area. Any thoughts on this anyone ?
Do you think Sagan will ride to victory on his new Roubaix?
Maybe with a wheelie to top it off

No his form is really bad.
Sagan’s already won, he’s just waiting for the finish line to tell everyone else
Ollie's positivity is awesome
Ollie was awesome on cycling weekly, and still is on GCN, good work mate
Ollie, almost another Peter Sagan.....ALMOST 🤣 LOL
It's always nice to see the moderator genuinely exited.
Great video.
I hope u get PAID Ollie!
You are by far the best presenter in cycling media ATM.
Much respect from over here in Australia mate.
Thanx.

Sagan is my favorite and his new bike is so wonderful! 👍
Good Job, Ollie. Greetings from Hamburg, GER
Best looking Roubaix ever.
New favorite road bike. Love all of the tech they packed into this one!
Thank you, Peter Sagan, for telling us about your bike.
Cracking good review Ollie! Informative and funny. Perfect combo. Keep up the great work GCN.
Thanks Ollie a real tech video about one of the best world road racing cyclists bikes ,plenty of built in comfort for one of the toughest races in the world .
Another small Sagan detail not noted is his quote "We'll see" on the down tube near the BB
The frame geometry is disturbed because of the bike stand and the lifted rear section.
Love that colour because it’s the same one I have on my Venge, Oil slick 😘
I believe they call this one overexposed. Awesome none the less.
I love that iridescent paint job. And good job presenting, Ollie!
Did you all notice the “We’ll See” signature response from Sagan to reporters written on the down tube/bottom bracket?!? So cool!! Minute 0:54!!
Hub sound check appreciated, you´re the man Ollie :D
I didn't wanna know how long Oli is, but I too would brag with that number.
Si has never mentioned his 'stats' but from the looks of things he'd make Oli a very jealous man lol. Either that or he has a novel solution for spare inner tubes storage 😮
Ollie could have at least bought that seat post dinner and taken it out to a movie first!

Take a drink everytime Ollie says "Compliance"
Red HOT bike..... you are a great presenter!!! Keep these coming....
Great job Ollie! very clear and concise.
Ollie was handling this bike so much I thought he was going to ride away on it at the end
Solid looking bike. Very enjoyable video. Good work.
I especially enjoyed your top secret location, 007,--plain sight. Crafty.
One of the best looking bikes I’ve seen in a while.
Weird to see a disc brake wheel with a rim brake surface
Yeah, not really sure why they did that considering there's disc specific Roval SLX 50s isn't there?
Edit: will be because they only do tubular rims in rim break format.
Tubs.
Ollie! Ollie! Ollie!...Awesome always.
I love it, the paint especially!
Pinarello looks incredible its got active full suspension
Go to :52 and see the sneaky “We’ll See” on the bottom bracket.
No mention of the threaded BB? That is the best reverse innovation I have seen in awhile and hope it continues to the venge and tarmac.
Well, no. Ollie clearly said he was only going to cover changes from previous version. Previous version had a threaded BB.
Another great video. Thanks.
Well done Ollie. Love this new Roubaix and all the new upgrades to the future shock and seat post. I bet it's a nice ride.
Ollie, we all have a little Peter Sagan in us that's one of the reasons he is so popular
Did you read what you wrote? 😄
Beauty! Nice job Ollie : )
Oli aka Peter Sagan lite, lite, lite... lol. Good review!
Great video, it's just my size too. I want one, maybe next year,,,,,,
Eurosport using GCN!!

Good video .great bike too. 👍👍
Same tube shape as my Cervelo R2. Cervelo has been using that tube shape on their bikes for a while now.
Great vid 👌

The seat post is actually a new design. It’s called the pave post, and is different from the tarmac post. The two are not interchangeable.
Great review!!! I really enjoyed it. Plus an awesome S-works doesnt hurt
Sagan was riding a mechanical dura ace disc groupset in roubaix :-)
damn good bike. I feel like I could actually buy that exact bike at a shop unlike most pros
gorgeous bike
Great bike. Love it 👍
I hope Ollie mentions to Peter that he locked out his suspension before he hits the Forest of Arenberg
Spec should give blocking of the Future Shock since the beginning as a standard option
I like the Pinarello FS a lot more. It seems more practical and more engineering tech involved .
Sagan said "smoother is faster". well, then, Pinarello FS must be faster :-))) ;-)
Shit timtimzi. I thought it was a hair on my screen!
I thought exactly the same. Would take the Pinarello 100%
Yeah for some reason the pinarello front shock seems to be more practical and easier on the body from a mechanical standpoint.

Stunned my the mass of Specialized marketing push gor this release.
I like your shoes Ollie, very clean!
Question: I've seen it hinted here, and in one or two other videos that the pros are riding more on the tops over the cobbles. Why is that?
Wow I love that bike he got a nice bike wow😮
What a piece of art 🤤 while I've got to ride my "cheap" 1000 euro bike
Just seen the clip on Eurosport during the Paris-Roubaix! No tribute to GCN though?
pretty cool huh!

I believe that's the stem from the new Venge and not the regular Roubaix stem?
Beautiful bike!
Great job! Is the bottom bracket a gxp?
At 5:59 how did you not peel off the sticker on that Wahoo?
How do i raise the handle bars up?
Beautiful machine. Would like to know more about the seat tube/seat tube junction and how it offers more compliance
What are the meassurements other than frame size an stem lenth?
Such a cool video
Great video as usual. Sagan running mechanical though?
If I recall he was on mechanical last year. Looks to be Di2 this year.
Sagan needs that extra 4mm to account for his leg muscles. Otherwise his monstrous calves would be bashing in to the chain stay.
Nice.........30mm tyres eh. Thanks for another great vid chaps
Great presenter. Funny too
How much extra do disc brakes weigh? Would be awesome without discs.
Great video as always with ollie but not actually the true Sagan race bike for PR because he used a mechanical groupset ;)
That's a veeerrrrry nice!
Ollie, which bar tape?
i'd like Peter to win it on my 09 tarmac then return it signed
Bike Great. How many people work for GCN?
Idea with a shock absorber taken from Cannondale Headshok.
Beautiful
What is the PSI of his tires?
A USA question.
I’m also a 56, which makes me the same as ollie, which makes me peter sagan too
No, I'm Peter Sagan!
Do the neutral service guys have wheel guns? If not then is it not a bit risky to rely on getting to your team car especially in the narrower sections
no surprise to adding q-factor from someone that have mtb background
I thought I heard he is riding mechanical groupset for Roubaix and the Sagan edition bikes will all come with mechanical dura ace? Lovely bike though.
Nice trip!
what size is this one ?
I notice that Sagan gave his saddle an inclination. There is maybe 1cm gap between the nose and the back of the saddle.
I heard that it helped to release pressure on the perineum area. Any thoughts on this anyone ?
How can I get that suspension above my headtube? That looks really nice.
Only with Specialized Diverge and Roubaix. RedShift do a similar stem called a ShockStop.
Not the bike hes riding tomorrow though, hes got a mechanical bike set up for Roubaix
you mean without Di2
what is that on 1:34 ?
Awesome..Hope THE DUDE...Does well...😎🌍🚴🏻🇬🇧
Nice! So, it is the s-works venge stem? Looks nice, wonder if it would like fine on my Tarmac! :)
I don’t quite think that this is the bike Peter will be riding , he‘ll be riding a mechanical version of the Dura ace , because of ghost shifting.
Valentin Gießibl we’ll see tomorrow
It looks very nice.
Aero road bars are usually considered more compliant because of the flat shape. Here he comments that the round bars are more compliant. Mmmm.
Wow! That bike weighs almost as much as my 58cm gravel bike!! What makes it so heavy?
Batteries
