  • Toyota nailed it with this new Land Cruiser. It's the right size. It has proper style. And it's priced at a point that makes sense compared to the competition both internally and from other automakers. I'm officially a fan of this thing...

    I just got the exact same vehicle. After 1k miles I am 100% impressed. Way more than I thought. I have had them all but this is by far my favorite so far. I have had the older Land Cruiser 200, 4Runners and sequoias. Love the power, tech and comfort so far.

    I love how it’s front bumper is divided into like 5 pieces.
    If you ever get caught in a car crash then no need to replace whole bumper.
    Same with rear bumper, no need to repaint vehicle if we get rear ended.

    I 100% appreciate the tire rant. Toyota has been doing this for forever to its trucks. My 4runner TRD Off Road came with those same style tires. And I just dont have it in me to just go straight to the tire shop and replace them. It's such a waste of money. Just give the option to put All Terrains on anything with a ladder frame. Especially if it says Off-Road in the trim level. PS: BFG's are goated. Any argument otherwise is just for the sake of arguing.

    Regarding payload, please don't parrot the incorrect specs from Toyota. The website and press sheets are wrong. Owners have already taken their 250 on the scales and it comes out at around 5,560 lbs. That puts payload at 1,200 lbs (or so) max.

    • @ALMX5DP
      @ALMX5DP 2 месяца назад +2

      Jeff said GVWR is 6835lbs for the model he is driving, subtracting the claim of 5560 means a payload of about 1275.

    • @thelandcruiserproject
      @thelandcruiserproject 2 месяца назад +3

      @@ALMX5DP You see the issue, but why are you busting my balls about 75 lbs? The GVWR is what it is on the sticker and we all agree to that, but Jeff said curb weight is 5,038 lbs - which isn't true. So instead of the bulky 1,800 lbs of payload he says it has, based on Toyota's wrong figure, it actually has the 1,275 or so you agree with me on.

    • @ALMX5DP
      @ALMX5DP 2 месяца назад +1

      @@thelandcruiserproject no ball busting, just providing the calculation based on what you and Jeff said. I’m sure there will be different weights depending on spec or trim. Many different vehicle makes and models operate similarly.

      Maybe on the turbo side, but the hybrid side I have zero worries - Toyota is one of the automakers with literal MILLIONS of miles on hybrid powertrains.
