I LOOOOVE YOUR LESSONS! Everything is laid out JUST as it should be - what notes to play AND how to play them combined with slow segments to play along with and then demoed at speed. Your format makes it a JOY to learn songs and solos like this in sections to practice and then put together. Thanks to you I've finally learned this, a DREAM solo of mine! THANK YOU for posting and keep up the good work my good sir!

Man, I always wonder how much better a guitarist I’d be, if back in the 90’s we had things like RUclips with amazing lessons from Attila and all the other wonderful people…tab programs like Songsterr and ultimate guitar with these interactive tabs that are way more accurate than the old incorrect tab sites and guitar magazines that I grew up on. I like to consider myself a pretty good guitarist but I find myself wondering how much better I would’ve been if this tech existed when I started playing in like 1995/96. The last few weeks I’ve been going back and re-learning all the Pantera solos as there’s a lot of stuff I had close but never note for note. And in just these few weeks my overall playing has improved to the point where every day, I’m constantly at my best…by far.
Thanks for these lessons brother, especially the Dimebag stuff. I find them to be the most accurate out there, and easy to follow. Keep ‘em comming! 🤘🏼

Hello Attila, I'm a big Pantera fan and I've eventually "learned" this solo by ear, but in my playing there were so many misunderstood parts and I couldn't figure out a video where they were explained clearly, so big thanks to you to make this lesson :) A New Level has always been one of my fav Pantera songs, it has something that makes it very powerful and badass... In general terms, I think Pantera it isn't the most "loud" metal band, but certainly it is the one that has the badassest riffs, solo, vocals... and it's like to be heavier you don't have to put a lot of noise in the record, just make things badass as fuck, as Pantera did. These are my thoughts about Pantera and New Level in particular

Thank You for sharing this! I cannot agree more on the heaviness of PanterA and the riffs & solos.
I actually did a lesson the the riffs of New Level, check it out if You will, You might find something in it You might dig:

GREAT playing. Thank you for making all these videos and including the tabs. This saves me tons of time instead of having to transcribe myself.
What is missing for me is the "half speed play through". I know there are players of many levels tuning in, but if we are being honest, you're going to have to be an intermediate to advanced level player to even have a chance of playing this stuff. So breaking it down to one note at a time...seems like a waste of time. Your tab is already incredibly detailed with rhythms, pick strokes and legato. I would rather just watch you play it and read the details. What is most helpful to me would be you showing long lines of tab across the entire bottom of the screen while playing entire phrases at 50% and 75% tempo. I just need to hear it slow. Maybe at a tempo where I could read the tab and play along with you while learning.
Just thought I would also share feedback. Again, thanks and I love it.
P.S. You and Chris Adler should be in Pantera right now....just saying.

Whenever I watch a concert from Moscow. When they played back in 1991. Four big bands. Such as Ac/Dc, Metallica,.Black rose.. In front of a million people. That's how a man casually plays, his super song (dominance)/and he sees for himself 👀 how many people he plays in front of.

hey attila i was listening to the original isolated solo (ruclips.net/video/9VscENvI65Y/видео.html) and the part at 11:50 seems a little more complicated on the track and i can't understand if it was dime's dirty picking or if it was intentionally more complex.
    it seems like:
    15 17 18 19 (15-15) 19 18-18 16-16 15-15
    ×2 of course
i've listened to the live solos and he changes the pattern everytime but it seems like he always doubles the note on the 15th fret / A string
    i can't understand if i'm wrong
what do you think about it?

    • @AttilaVorosOfficial
      @AttilaVorosOfficial  3 года назад +1

I think I know exactly what You mean. I think He played it a bit dirty but kept it because it sounded so great like that! Those small little nuances are the hardest to emulate because they're not intentional I think.
