It depends on how you persive whatsubmission really means. For me submission is when you wake up on a Saturday morning knowing that both you and your husband were not going to work yet you want to prepare food for the family. That is submission. Then on a Monday evening you and your husband left for your various work place and he happens to return before you or he was even at home for the day yet he waits for you to come back and prepare meal for the family just because your a woman. The only way for you to get him helping with domestic duties is not only to see him as hubby but also make him your best friend and then gradually start evolving him in some domestic activities that two friends will usually do without complaining. I never use to help my wife plus I also waited for her to come home and cook or do the dishes whiles she came back from work but with time she brought me into helping her with domestic activities through friendship and through the word of God too. If your husband knows the word of God, he will be helping you at home. I think that most women start out with standards; alot of women start out with high and intelligent standards but along the way, the cares of life makes them drop the standards...
at 21 to 27, a young woman usually comes with ridiculous wants, some are good but others are an endless list. some even say they will marry out of their race. at 27+ women start knowing how it feels to be a man in the dating market, thats when the decline starts, when other women just slightly younger out compete them. at the famous 30 mark, its official you cant marry the man of your dreams, you would need to have genes like rihannas to do that. thats when desperation officially starts, even some of they boys that were not good enough for you in high school dont want you, now you are not good enough for them, unless you are an 8or9/10. at that age, even if a girl drops ridiculous wants like a man who will give her the dream wedding its still very tough, good men age 30-35 can date women as young as 25 and now they dont use as much effort because financial security speaks for them. at about 32 a woman really cant afford to be dreamy, marry whoever is good enough, good people dont last, you cant find a good person without bad habits, looks good, is financially pretty good and single at over 33 whether man or woman. a woman at 25, will tell you that they have standards and are too young to marry. she does not realise that she is left with 4-6yrs before those standards are useless to valuable men, women delay to choose and later have to pick whoever. beauty is fading, at 30 men are not as enchanted by you as they were when you were 25, yet its such a small period in between, at 25 you can have a small tummy but look at people at 30yrs, very few have a flat tummy, with a man its better because money (by money i dont mean a lot, it can be just driving a toyota and having his own house) will speak for him. standards are good, but use those standards not only to keep useless men away but use them to pick and commit, most pretty girls only have standards only to keep men away, both useless and good men

Did you fast, pray and seek the face of God before you marry this man? Did God tell you that this is your husband? Most women marry a man without hearing from God not knowing that they married the wrong person. Yet, when the marriage is falling apart that's when they begin to pray. It's too late because you have to involve God before you even accept the invitation to spend time getting to know this man. We all know that the devil hates marriage and that's why he always attacks marriage. Women, we have to marry a man who have a personal relationship with God and knows how to pray warfare prayers. Sorry you had to go through this. Though abstinence is only 1 standard (especially because many only abstain because the other person wants to, not because they themselves have the conviction to) there are so many more like a man who isn't prideful, who himself is capable of submitting to his wife (not many men realise God also requires this of them), a man who is accountable, forgiving, respectful.....and so much more.

Insightful thought provoking examples: you started by highlighting '7 things you badly want to tell women', however, I could pick one major central theme and sub themes or are they the remaining points? These are: *set standard - it attracts the right people *don't use the wrong parameter to measure e.g., he must be rich (Mad Men can have money) or he must respect me. Measure with the right parameter / value. *know your value and say it. (because people will /don't know) *submission is not slavery! The man is placed in charge for orderliness and greater responsibility.
He is right about having standards. If you don't have standards, you will invite the wrong person into your life and they will cause a lot of heartache and pain. Also, one thing I have learned about relationships is that the red flags are always, always in the beginning. I have been married for 20 years now, and i can tell you a lot of things my wife benefits from today are because of the way my mother trained me to respect women, starting with My sisters. I have at times endured a lot of verbal tirade from My partner but the influence of My Mum cannot permit me to act rashly. I just keep quiet.
Also, women come to marriage with too much expectations, Often a decent guy/virgin would not really be that much of a romantic guy. A sincere God fearing Man in a public service might not be well to do compared with His colleagues because He would not cut corners in His Job. So there are trade offs, if you cannot make up the difference or deficiency in a man please stay away. For most men its 1. Be good looking/attractive to His eyes. 2. Be quite responsive sexually. 3. Have a supporting income or better than that be a good and accountable manager of resources. 4. Please in Gods name don't nag (if you do, all the rest of your qualities are rubbish) Proverbs warns against this 5 Times, the Woman is the only individual tagged HELPER, second only to the Holy Spirit. You can deconstruct a man with your mouth, .........
Further to this, it is a woman is who builds the Home,....as a Man you can build a House, you can never make a Home. No matter how good and decent a man is He cannot build a good home if the Wife is bad. "Mother is Supreme" - Chinua Achebe comes to mind. That is why a people that do not train the girl child are destroying the children and implication a generation. A Man takes over the sons upbringing from around age 7 - 10. At this time the woman needs to let the man Father take over to make the Boy develop into A Man. Some women at this time use the Boys to get back at their Fathers and by 13 - 16 the Boy starts confronting His Father about grievances with the Mother. This at the end results in that Child not properly developing to a Man, and when it later shows up in the child not being a good Husband or Father who is to blame?. Sometimes the result is the Child cannot think for Himself and His Wife to the Dismay of His Mother starts telling Him what to do?.......You May say some men are totally bad examples even to their children,......... quite true,....but the influence of a Mother on a male child is such that She can point him to Uncles, and some men around the community, or in church etc....that could mentor Him. But if the Mother is Bad......???
you just cant beat the position of a Mother in a Home, .....that's why i focus on training and loving My Daughter well, so in future She can love Her Husband and children and be a care giver in Her home. I will never come in between Her and the Mother when She is hard on her on some issues. Likewise My son, I would not cut Him too Much slack, because He has to manage the affairs and destiny of His Family in the Future.
After all said and done, ....I Have heard of Women who lost their spouses and raised up to 5-10 children on their own, some of them without any education. Hardly ever heard of a man who did that,...... It just give a whole lot of credence to the saying........"Mama ne Gida"......in Hausa meaning "Mother is the Home".......

I think that most women start out with standards; alot of women start out with high and intelligent standards but along the way, the cares of life makes them drop the standards...
at 21 to 27, a young woman usually comes with ridiculous wants, some are good but others are an endless list. some even say they will marry out of their race. at 27+ women start knowing how it feels to be a man in the dating market, thats when the decline starts, when other women just slightly younger out compete them. at the famous 30 mark, its official you cant marry the man of your dreams, you would need to have genes like rihannas to do that. thats when desperation officially starts, even some of they boys that were not good enough for you in high school dont want you, now you are not good enough for them, unless you are an 8or9/10. at that age, even if a girl drops ridiculous wants like a man who will give her the dream wedding its still very tough, good men age 30-35 can date women as young as 25 and now they dont use as much effort because financial security speaks for them. at about 32 a woman really cant afford to be dreamy, marry whoever is good enough, good people dont last, you cant find a good person without bad habits, looks good, is financially pretty good and single at over 33 whether man or woman.
a woman at 25, will tell you that they have standards and are too young to marry. she does not realise that she is left with 4-6yrs before those standards are useless to valuable men, women delay to choose and later have to pick whoever. beauty is fading, at 30 men are not as enchanted by you as they were when you were 25, yet its such a small period in between, at 25 you can have a small tummy but look at people at 30yrs, very few have a flat tummy, with a man its better because money (by money i dont mean a lot, it can be just driving a toyota and having his own house) will speak for him. standards are good, but use those standards not only to keep useless men away but use them to pick and commit, most pretty girls only have standards only to keep men away, both useless and good men

Did you fast, pray and seek the face of God before you marry this man? Did God tell you that this is your husband? Most women marry a man without hearing from God not knowing that they married the wrong person. Yet, when the marriage is falling apart that's when they begin to pray. It's too late because you have to involve God before you even accept the invitation to spend time getting to know this man. We all know that the devil hates marriage and that's why he always attacks marriage. Women, we have to marry a man who have a personal relationship with God and knows how to pray warfare prayers. Sorry you had to go through this. Though abstinence is only 1 standard (especially because many only abstain because the other person wants to, not because they themselves have the conviction to) there are so many more like a man who isn't prideful, who himself is capable of submitting to his wife (not many men realise God also requires this of them), a man who is accountable, forgiving, respectful.....and so much more.

GOD doesn’t make mistakes but He also works in mysterious ways that we may not understand either but it’s always for a greater purpose. I ran for my life and survived and now I am an advocate for abused women. GOD’s plan doesn’t always have to make since but it will always be for the good of those who love the LORD. Insightful thought provoking examples: you started by highlighting '7 things you badly want to tell women', however, I could pick one major central theme and sub themes or are they the remaining points? These are:
*set standard - it attracts the right people
*don't use the wrong parameter to measure e.g., he must be rich (Mad Men can have money) or he must respect me. Measure with the right parameter / value.
*know your value and say it. (because people will /don't know)

He is right about having standards. If you don't have standards, you will invite the wrong person into your life and they will cause a lot of heartache and pain.
Also, one thing I have learned about relationships is that the red flags are always, always in the beginning. We sometimes dismiss the red flags in the beginning due to thinking it is a minor thing or it is no big deal.
