Remove the spark plug first. This elevates the compression in the cylinder.

Informative for sure. Though, I say this nicely, it does matter which way the cap goes. Torque matters and bearing clearance matters. If the clearance is off, oil pressure will take a shit. Most engines have notches or lettering on them there to line up the cap that has the matching letter/notch. Other than that, as long as the vehicle runs, send it. lol

  • @user-zn3hn5be1v

Way over simplified. You need to use 800-1000 wet and dry sand paper to smooth the crank Journals after removing bad bearings. There shold be NO grittyness moving the new bearing on the crank journal but super smooth. Then you need to use a Plastic guage to measure ths space is proper between the bearing and the crank journal. Since this video did nt show the truck running after the job, I assume his job did NOT work.

A spun bearing is a clacking higher pitched knock. Take one spark plug out at a time and when the piston is in the down position.. push on it with a clean wooden dowel or something that won’t scratch.. if it pops down once.. then you spin the bearing.. there should be no play.
