I bought mine used and thought that the previous owner kept it. All these years... Had to call AAA to change my tire... Cause I thought I didn't have the tools... Come to find out they (AAA trucks) don't have the tools either.... Then I see your video, I'm pissed but happy that I do have the tools. Thanks for the info!
I've been a professional tech for about 6 years now and I spent a hour looking for that kit to drop the spare to fix a EVAP leak lol THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.
thank you so much for this video! We are out here in the middle of bum flip Egypt and it’s colder than a witches hind appendage and we couldn’t find the jack either! God bless you!
Thanks for the information brother, just had a blow out on the us 40 at the Prescott off ramp in ash fork as, was stuck on the hwy for three and a half hours at eight thirty till eleven pm. And not one tow company had ant tool to get the spare tire down. And my insurance company instead of calling a towing company thirty minutes away calls one in flagstaff az almost eighty miles away smh. If I had only watched this video before. Oh yeah I bought this suv used so no manual.
Fyi, for lack of a better term??? He is using the selfie camera, so everything is reversed, the tag, the steering wheel, and the locatiin if the jack and tools is on the drivers side of the vehicle! There is a square piece of plastic to the right of the license plate, and receiver hitch, i reached inder the bumper to push it out, then used vehicle key to remove spare tire lock, then used the larger female square end of tools to put into hole, 2 pieces connected together, then the lug wrench (socket end facing away from vehicle) attached to tools to rotate spare down to the ground, give it some slack, so you can fish the bell shaped hanger through the spare to free it from the cable.
THANK YOU !!! YOU JUST SAVED MY DAY!!!THANK YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN BECAUSE NOT EVEN THE PARTS STORE WERE ABLE TO TELL US WHERE TO FIND IT....I AM A NEW SUBSCRIBER
My 2009 Tahoe. I don't have a bracket to hold down the jack but to hold the jack down you turn the jack pump handle clockwise which raises the stem into a slot in the jack bracket. The handle bag has it's own wing nut to hold it down. I'd really like to shake the hand of the engineer that thought this location up. I mean really shake his hand with a firrrrm grrrrriip. Pickups have the jacks under the back seat/cab.
Everyone else found theirs, I found an empty space... Mine was stolen. Thanks for showing me where it should be
Same
