Uniting & Advocating for Today's Student: Removing Barriers & Addressing the MH Crisis in Schools

The mental health crisis in schools is well recognized. Children and adolescents’ unmet mental health needs pose a significant barrier to students’ learning, and emotional/social wellbeing. A significant number of children and youth have an identified need for mental health services, but only a small percentage of children receive help. This presentation will highlight how collaboration between clinical mental health and school counselors can ethically and efficiently meet the needs of students.
