The lid and case of the lighter will fit into the rivet for the screw on the felt. So if you own a Zippo you obviously don't need anything else to replace the flint.
If you want to destroy the lid and case... They are putting these screws in TIGHT, there is no way that any of the last 6 or 8 that I've received, could be opened that way.... it's a struggle even using a Dime.. No need for them to be that tight...

From reading the comments this one is definitely ba lighter gauge metal than the Zippo armor models (my favorite), is the replica 1941 actually a thinner gauge metal than the regular Zippos or comparable? For some reason I think the brass models always sound better, armor or regular... Nice video. Go Eagles.
+Loftty OG If the lighter is made of brass, how would the brass finish come off? Do you mean tarnish by "come off"? I have this same lighter and have had it for about 6 months and my daily user and nothing has happened to the finish other than it has gained some "patina" if I let it stay that way, which I usually did because I like the darker more used look. But I recently gave it a decent little polish (no chemicals, just elbow grease and a rag) and the surface finish looks like new... NOW, if you're talking about the actual insert itself, that's a whole other story. Yes, the finish will wear and become more "chrome" like from the heat, fluid, carbon build up and cleaning and so on. The finish of the insert has indeed suffered. But not the case's finish. That's something I wish they had done differently and I would have gladly paid a premium for. A solid brass insert.
+Justin Fournier Well its not the buyer's fault for getting a second lighter. Its great he didn't get charged for it. Now in my case, if amazon offered courier service to pickup from my house and gave me a gift card (for offering to return it) I may let it go, but otherwise I would have kept it as well. I am very picky even with eBay items as I will try and get a refund from a ebay seller if item is late beyond 2 weeks from USA/Europe and 4 weeks from china. Then if and when item arrives, I keep quite and in return I will often leave positive feedback.
Loftty OG welI if an item doesn't arrive within the given timeframe, many of the ebay sellers from china openly offer a refund. and much of the items I buy months in advance are usually time sensitive for example one may be a birthday gift and item arrives after birthday. If you can't be bothered with having a company or shop live up to its claim of delivery deadline, then you are a tool or you don't work for your money.

easy way to trim the wick is to use a fingernail clipper. cuts thru the wick and the copper just fine

You're meant to coat the lighter every so often to stop the finish coming off.

brass vs chrome
that finish is disappointing. I do not think it is actual plating, per se. It's a brass color, applied more like paint.
