Which is fine if the gameplay is ok. Chimera squad was better than most xcom likes (not a very high bar)
It resembles more Into The Breach and chess because of its completely predictable events and puzzle feel. And to be fair, the first prototype was shown 5 years ago, at least 1 year before Chimera Squad's release.

What's next? A RTS where you train magic marines or seer team sixes with humvees armed with 30 inch long rapid fire staffs? Creating a airfield of magic where you can make a FM-222 Raptor that has magical missiles? A Apache with fireball rockets? A bomber with transformation bombs?!
The narration is trying to hard to be quirky but the actual game looks fun.
