I remember when I played PMD2 and heard this piece in blizzard island. It made my brain itch as I had almost forgetten PMD1 and then all the memories came rushing back
You can tell from the music alone that this is where things get serious. Well... the storyline kind of reflects that too. And the giant Zapdos at the end. But evidently, the producers liked it too, because they included it in Blizzard Island's medley track in Time/Darkness/Sky.
Iron Kuzoniki ~ The Ferronian Berserker Really? I thought that Pokemon Square was catchy......... but you're right, this song is really catchy as well.
I spent hours on this dungeon (mostly because I was a squirtle and had left my pecha berries/scarf in storage) and now I dread whenever a dungeon has that distinctive web-like shape in other games... it makes exploring a lot harder.

The Blue Rescue Team OST is slightly higher-quality than the Red Rescue Team, and not in a "360p vs 480p" way. DS sound can handle more complexity than GBA naturally, so the composers/ sound designers could use slightly more sophisticated soundfonts in the Blue Rescue Team.
I think the lack of sophistication and harsher sounding versions of the samples in Red Rescue Team lends itself to the chaotic nature all the songs hold, the way they switch instruments and play tunes over each other. Blue is definitely higher quality though
Aye, you think you can make a 30 minute or hour long video on this? Haven't been able to find one besides the remaster. I prefer the older version over the new.
Well, the pizzicato lines in this song often reflect 3 against 2 composite rhythm that the Carol of the Bells is well known for, so I can see the similarity.
Charmander gets it too, and since it can learn Metal Claw to deal with pesky Rock types, I think it might be a bit better. Cyndaquil seems better partner material because it gets Quick Attack, one of the best partner moves.
At least you didn't think you had to recruit Zapdos. I thought that this would be the only chance to have them join your friends, so I restarted a few times before looking up the "chance". I learned that the "chance" was that I was an idiot.
I prefer this game to Explorers though I like Explorers too, main complaint is I couldn’t level grind and explorers doesn’t hold my interest, I like indie explorers better than a guild. The story in explorers is great and the music is good, it’s just frustrating to play sometimes.
This sounds rather similar to Mannheim Steamroller - Carol of the Bells. It might be a stretch to suggest this was inspired by Mannheim Steamroller though, considering this is JP made.

I remember the first time I played this game I was like "What the hell! I have to fight a freakin' legendary pokemon already?!?!"
First time I reached the final floor of Mt. Thunder I was thinking that Zapdos was the last boss xD

I beat Zapdos easily with just Pikachu and Charmander and my sister didn't even have to much trouble with Pikachu and Chickorita

After beating this map for the first time, I'm pretty sure I grinded it until I recruited Zapdos.
I then used Zapdos for the rest of the game!
