Those dumplings look delicious and they do look light and fluffy too. I love food like this. We used to eat bread and dripping over here but not anymore but I still eat cold chicken fat on toast ! Tfs

I love chicken and dumpling so I know for a fact I'll love this too. Those huge size dumplings look awesome. Very comforting and hearty. The best part of having turkey for Tday is the leftovers. I always use the carcass to make stock then use the meat to make turkey noodle soup. Next time I'll try turkey and dumpling. What a fantastic idea. I'll bet the house smells amazing. I can go for a bowl of that right now, it's cold in my neck of the woods. Sorry, I'm late...internet issues 👍LIKE #43

I made chicken and dumplings about a week ago and the biscuit chunks really can make or break a good chicken and dumplings recipe. I had a friend make me Irish Stew once and I have NEVER been able to replicate it, not even close. She learned it from her very Irish grandmother who brought the recipe with her from Ireland itself. Look into that one if you'd like!

@@Passionforfoodrecipes she was heavy on the beautiful things like Rosemary and garlic, and she had an amazing ability to make seared meat (she seared before stewing) look even more amazing. I've not seen her in almost a decade and have no way of contacting her 😭 you've got this! You don't have to entirely replicate it, but I'd love to see your take on it!
Edit to add: I won't be mad if you don't use actual mutton 😂 you can use lamb or beef and I'll still stick around 😂😂

I smoke a turkey on my pit barrel cooker. Then with the dark meat I do this recipe. Amazing flavor with the smoked turkey.

U inspired me to make my own chicken stock! So good the texture and flavor was so much better then store bought! I made the dumplings too with the fat. Again so good! The turkey was perfect with the chicken and since I was left with like a whole turkeys (no family over) I made a whole bunch and dropped them off at my friends and family’s houses, they loved them and want me to make more. Love ur channel

ironically we bought a smaller turkey this year (thanks a LOT, covid!!!) so we already finished thanksgiving leftovers. But I hear ya - idea's good for any leftover meat.
