I lived at Grand Rapids when I was born. In reality, my family and I have actually lived there for 20+ years. Now we are in Ohio. I miss Michigan, dude...
I live in Grand Rapids and usually do the driving when we go downtown. It’s amazing all the small details you miss when your eyes are on the road. Thank you for this!
I may have missed it, downtown, but I didn't see the leeds-certified Grand Rapids Art Musuem. I don't think I saw the Foutain St. Church. And no drive on Lake Michigan Dr.
Decades ago I enjoyed listening to WJ-FM 93 transmitting from Grabd Rapids, when I was in South Bend, Indiana. WJFM-93 played contemporary rock music but no heavy metal or acid rock. I enjoyed WJFM 93. What happened to that station?
Grand rapids Michigan is a great city to live in these days , it sure beats Detroit and flint. And Hyde park and Benton harbor for sure 👌 very very big time😅
Medical Mile is Michigan St. , east side of the Grand River. Calder Plaza, "La Grande Vitesse" sculpture, sits back off Ottawa Ave and wouldn be seen from this perspective. This does miss Bridge Street, west side of the river and North Monroe, north of Michigan St. and Plainfield Ave. , also north of Michigan St. @@exploreusacities
Its because dumb mfs ran everyone away it has gotten toxic down there 2019 was the last year that downtown was full but then they hired these black mfs how be trying to push people and piss people off downtown until they get them mfs from down there downtown will be empty its too damn toxic downthere trust me i even avoid going down there for mostly for 3 years
Lived and worked in GR most of my life. Interesting, how you kept making loops, circling back, and avoided showing the ghetto part's. I did see that the city counsel just passed a couple of ordinances, to try and curb the growing homeless activity. However, since the medical school was moved from Lansing to GR, years ago, It's also become a high rental area, and the city is now dealing with the fallout, that comes from having absentee landlord's. Having people moving to GR from Detroit, is another issue. I'm just happy that I sold my Victorian home, downtown, and no longer live anywhere near there.

Our Grand River is a highlight you missed. It runs though downtown and has a great pedestrian walkway on both sides.

The city is so empty! Am I watching the sci-fi movie, "The Omega Man", or, "The Last Man On Earth"?

Vivir ahí es caro ?
Grand Rapids cost of living is less than other big cities.
No es caro. Y ay mucho trabajo
Todavía hay trabajo en la ciudad?
This must be around COVID or something. I drove just a minute ago, and it's loud and mad people walking around all downtown.
It was Monday, July 3 2023.
