Can't believe that you've gotten to this level on car enhancement!!! Love the channel.
good vid man. just did it. 2.5 turns. it's way faster now on a td04 low pressure. thx :)
I’m trying to get some race seats like yours where did you buy them I have a audi A6 2015 Quattro
What is the latest replacement a4 2.0t engine/electric motor for my 2009 S-line Cabriolet convertible
Taking Ecu logs is a must after such a procedure! Otherwise you can get over boost and ECU will cut your boost down to a emergency low level. If there is no play and waste gate is tight then more correct way would be to change actuator spring to a more rigid one or install tuning actuator. What's the price for a standard ECU remapping stage1 in the USA now? I my country I paid just 100 bucks for a reliable safe tuning stage 1. I can help getting similar remap for similar price
Do you know what the crack pressure was? After turning it, how much boost did you make then?
I have a 2012 beetle turbo 2.0tsi e888 gen1 cbfa with a cts ko4.. when I installed the turbo I had to move the waste gate so I could connect the oil lines.. I reinstalled it, I counted threads... Hopefully I did right...lol.. only running 20lbs of boost..
So i actually had to remove my actuator from mine. How tight should it be after i put it back on. Right now its firm and i can only open it a bit using pulling with force.
Just get a high flow cat (HFC) or a test pipe and a tune. That will give you a more reliable HP gain. That rod is pre-adjusted for a reason I wouldn't F with it. I've seen far too many people blow their 1.8t engines, and then I had to do an engine swap for them.
The TDI VW's will trigger a boost higher than normal code and limp mode the car. I would do research for any car before making those type of adjustments because the ECM does have parameters and compares how much boost it is getting, vs how much it calculated.
That’s what a custom tune is for
@@justinharden2346 being it is TDI "diesel" I would discourage putting any tune on any TDI car unless all emissions are deleted because it would plug the DPF and ruin the EGR or "both EGR's" since 2009 -2011 CBEA engine model TDI's
have 2 separate EGR systems.
Dope content man, enjoying them videos, tell me man, whats the name of the track and artist you play at the end of the video? Its got that bad ass kinda theme inline with how the car sounds. Um digging that
Kindly hook up me up with the sound track you play at the end of the video please
Hey man wereis mass air flow sensor on audi a1 2011 1.4 tfsi please
Learning so much from this channel thanks BCM!
Yours aswell💪💪💪💪💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I managed to ajust the wastegate in a4 b8 by just taking the cat off, it was just enough space to fit my hand and i cut 10mm wrench so it would fit in there but it was a pain to do so.
You can run into problems only if you tight the nut so much that the wastegate won't open at all or enough to let it out otherwise the n75 will know how much to open it anyways.
I have a air compressor that i used to push air trough the actuator and i saw the difference from adjusting the nut, with the nut at the end it will open all the way, if move the it to the middle of the screw it will open half of that and if you tightened it all the way....well it won't open.
Mine was pretty much at the end of the screw and i tightened it until halfway(like you had it in this video before you ajusted it), of course i checked the n75 and the boost after that to make sure it was ok.
yeh I Agree, you can loose control, if you do it to much, you definitely need to know what you're doing or have some logs
Hey brothers I did this hack but my turbo Is bred new, and now I got boost, but If I want to press all the gas to the end . I lost the boost?
I’m still surprised you got that back bolt off... your videos have really come along lately.. great content
its not as hard as you think, you just have to hold it with your left hand and hold the bit, so it doesn't fall, its just takes a long time to tighting because you really cant turn it that much, once its broken loose you can use a smaller ratchet.
and thanks, for the love and support
Hi how much hp i can increase if i tide the waste gate as you show on video. I have audi a6 c6 2.0tdi . 140HP so how much extra HP i can get after that set up please?
can that be done to vgt turbo or only vnt
What tune do you have
Entering next level mods on this one! Kicking ass as usual man!
Thank you brother like wise
I cant believe i havent thought of this. I have a 12 A5 2.0T 6 speed and I replaced my k03 with a new Borg Warner k03 because of a bad wastegate and actuator rod play. I have a high flow cat, 3" downpipe, 2 resonator deletes, APR carbon fiber intake, GFB DV+, integrated engineering large front mount intercooler,, silicone charge pipes,, silicone throttle body and turbo inlet hoses, and an integrated engineering stage 2 tune. Ive been having this almost misfire feeling when trying to go full throttle in 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 4th. It feel like horrible turbo lag sometimes. I thought it was a fuel delivery issue with the tune so I did the Autotech HPFP kit and replaced my cam follower at the same time. I just did that last week. Then I got a code for my high pressure fuel sensor G247. So I replaced that today. The code was set after I did the HPFP kit. After all that I still have that bucking/turbo lag. Full throttle and you can hear the car want to move but it doesn't accelerate as fast as it should then you feel the pull and it goes where it should be at peak boost but its not. I never once thought about adjusting the wastegate rod. Ive been chasing this issue for months! I'm definitely going to have to take my turbo out again and do this. A couple turns tighter so it'll hold boost better. Im a certified tech and I didn't even think of this! Thank you for making this video! You may have just saved me from more agony of figuring out wtf it is.
My pleasure bro , here for you, and your car sounds like a beast, if your waste gate is extremely loose you can also heat it up and bend it back towards the turn I’ve saved 12 turbos in my buds cars, but that’s only for extreme play
Hi, did adjusting the waste gate fix your misfire problem? I have the same issue when accelerating hard, I have stage 2 and transmission tune from Integrated Engineering.
@@rociodeleon6030 i haven't done the adjustment yet. I plan to do it tomorrow on my day off at work where all my tools are. When I do it ill let you know. Im planning to do it this Saturday morning. I'll update after I finish and drive it. I also have a slow coolant leak from a banjo bolt on the turbo im fixing at the same time too.
@@Slipshodkickitt did you ever find out what it was? I am having the exact same problem!
have u upgraded fuel pump or injecters ...sounds like it need ms more fuel
Damn!! Your car sounds mean. I’ve tried looking for your exhaust setup but was unable to. Do you mind sharing your exhaust setup and how you got that deep sound?
🙏🙏🙏Yes I’ll send you, wLk thru video I did try my exhaust play list
@@brucecustommotors 🤦🏻♂️ right lol didn’t see that! Thanks brother! Love your videos, thanks for all your knowledge and experience!
11:00 correction transverse fsi/tsi waste gate is sandwiched between the turbo and block, can be adjusted from under the car but i wouldn't recommend it unless you hate yourself...ask me how i know lmao
So if I am throwing a under boost code but all my piping and joints are sealed/tight and good then it could be my waste gate is loose? and my turbo may need a rebuild? but could I cheat and say turn to tighten the waste gate would that do the trick to get rid of the play if it turns out to be my waste gate?
yes you can try, also what a lot of people do is heat it up and bend it, to fix the play basically compressing it like a waffle maker
Hello Bruce, is that k04 the stock turbo on that engine? I suppose that’s a 2.0tfsi engine and I thought the 2.0 tfsi comes with the k03 turbo. Also, for a 2.0 engine that exhaust is firing, 3” straight through?
Hey bro you’re right k03 is stock with our car and here’s a video on my exhaust set up ruclips.net/video/wAEtSEZ0Pp8/видео.html
@@brucecustommotors Great work, I’m glad that I stumbled upon your channel. It’s great to see guys from America chose European cars and not follow the usual Jdm path that’s been overused for 20+ years. I watched a few videos from your channel and I see that’s you’ve gone way too far with that thing. Very impressive, keep enjoying your toys and doing what you’re doing. Kudos
Very informative.
thanks for the support
On the transverse without removing how can you tell if there's play? Will the rod move slightly? 2.0TSI VW. Thanks in advance. 3" down pipe, air intake manifold, turbo muffler delete on way, and either Wagner or apr intercooler. K04 T23F good for 550hp next order then rods ect to go big turbo.. Gonna be the fastest Tiguan in the states unless someone is hiding one that's built... 😂
That's gonna be a beast. You pulling up to cars and coffee ?
Clockwise adds boost counter clockwise takes away
You keep saying 3cm instead of 3mm.
Thank you for the video, though
Hey Bruce, awesome video! Since you were showing a K04 system, Im wondering if the K03's wastegate can be adjusted as well?
Also, any news on the "push start button" project?
Thank you for helping your audi fans and stay safe.
Yes, they also sale actuators to ad to them aswell
@@brucecustommotors It only will work for the non welded versions unfortunately
Nice video! One question I have is, if your wastegate is tight without making that adjustment, why can't it be written into the tune for the wastegate actuator to open less?
Whats up Brother, it actually is but my tune is so aggressive, its forcing it open, and fighting against the goal and boost
@@brucecustommotors Gotcha 👌
On a stock 2.0t tfsi, could you just tighten it say.. 1mm or even 3mm and improve performance without causing damage?
yes, but be carefull if you make it to tight , your car wont stop building up boost, and you get the drift after that i would say 1m to be safe, I had mine logged to make sure i could go up as far as i did
Yo Bro thanks for sharing .
But are talking about rs or TDI
Anything with a turbo
Im definitely going to Try This, Thanks Bruce
yes it’s worth it💪💪💪💪💪
You are the Audi Obi Wan!
Droppin that knowledge. 🙏 Goin' with a custom tune?
Thanks brother, yeh, trying to get The most I can, Working with some company, to refine there Tunes, guess you can call me the test dummy
@@brucecustommotors What about that MIke Malone tune for our Audis?
That audi looks 🔥 😍❤
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪🔥🔥
hey bruce, i installed the CTS catchan and added the little breather to it. im still having oil being sent to the turbo intake. it only sends oil on WOT drives. otherwise driving normally no oil is consumed at all and it will stay like that until i do pulls. the car doesnt smoke when driving. it only smokes when the turbo disengages for those 5 seconds then the smoke goes away. if i dont wot and make the turbo work hard, car doesnt smoke period. any ideas? im the 3rd owner at 124,500 miles.
you may have to check if you have some residual oil in your inter cooler, if its not drained, it can keep going back
@@brucecustommotors i just checked the other side of the engine from a drive home and the throttle body and its surronding is SOAKED with oil, definelty pulling the intercooler this coming week thankyou so much for the advice, i hope this solves my problem
Nice video! How much do you think this can increase HP?
it gave me about 4 more psi of boost do to it holding the boost longer, and about 15 horse power
@@brucecustommotors damn, that’s pretty good! Thank you for sharing
You mean millimeters. An inch is about 2.6 centimeters
Before taking out the turbo, you have to drain the oil and coolant?
💯💯💪💯💯😂☺️
Oh yeah 😂😂😂😂🙏
Niiiiiiiiiiice!
Thanks Bro,
Three turns is a lot more than 3 centimeters more like a quarter inch
Greatness..., soon you will be able to do an A-Z for engines on this and performance boost on this channel.
🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯💯
Those revs at the end of the video are nasty
🙏🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥
what yall need to understand is if u move that bolt yall changing your air fuel ratio and this can lead to more problems
My brother if your going big turbo, do you mind selling me the ko4 turbo? I would really appreciate it. Thank you 🙏🏿
whats your intagram,
@@brucecustommotors @rebel_A4 On IG! Let me know brother of we can work something out!?
I ajusted mine 3 centimeter as you said and the engine blew up 🤗
Did you mean 3 milimeter 🤔
Nice, how's that divertor valve

@@brucecustommotors watching it now
@@Jhugh17 here for anything you need bro
@@brucecustommotors yes sir 🙌🏾
Please don't do this.
The waste gate needs to be calibrated and the software in your ecu having a matching calibration.
yrs I'm working with a tuner, with logs
Fire In the Booth!!!!!
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thats what boost control is 4
more air - more fuel - ecu need yo know that
What turbo are you going to use?
I'm working on a B8.5 build right now as well.
garret 85mm, or Boss 600, but I have to fabricate all of the external parts, like the exhaust manifold etc... probably . doing measurements now
awesome we should help each other
@@brucecustommotors Let me know how the motor handles all that boost. Where are you mounting it?
Lets see a Boss 600 soon
🤫
I can see your running an octane boost
lol, a-little to much, im always on 100 octane file, so between , race gas , meth and i always keep it in the car on every fill up
Hey bruce , have u tried e85 mixes yet ...i am revo stage 3 as well and found if i run aleast a e30 mix i get absolutely No knock even at timing set at 9...its a great knock suppressant and octane booster and probably cheaper too....widely available especially here in texas....keep it up man!!! Love your series...
3 centimeters :D wow, 3 mm ;p
Everything comes at a price definitely boost lol
👍👍👍👍👌👌👌
I think you ment 3 mm and not 3 cm?
Yes you’re a 💯 % right 💪💪💪💪
Don't you mean 3mm not 3cm?
Yes🙏🔥🔥
People have done this forever. But only on older turbo engines with mechanical fuel injection. You start messing with that wastegate without calibration and you're blowing things up . Leave it to the experts.
Yeh I agree was logging when calibrated 💪💪💪
The new models their ecu self adjusts and corrects timing and fuel!
9:55 that looks more 3mm
Easy yes, but unless you know what you are doing it's extremely!!!! risky. It's very easy to mess up something and grenade yo shit very very quickly.
true, i did logs to make sure, you definitely don't want to go to far.
@@brucecustommotors good deal, I'm a huge car enthusiast. Big Audi fan, I own a 2013 A4
I don’t think is going to work..
it did my boost went up 4 psi, it holds the boost longer before it opens.
@@brucecustommotors ok, then maybe I will try myself.
3cm lol
3 cm hahaha :D
