Everyone seems to be missing one of the best features. You can fold it the opposite way to charge only the watch or only the phone with an even smaller footprint.

I bought this one month ago because I forgot my Apple Watch charger at a trip. First I was a bit salty about the price but it has been wonderful! I have plugged it to my MacBook Pro and it charges the watch, iPhone and AirPods perfectly even though I have a bit older devices which do not use the magnetic alignment. It is especially good nowadays when there is meetings often through the net and AirPods needs to be fully charged as much as possible. I recommend this product fully for people who use a lot of MacBook and maybe travel too.
Got mine today. Got it mostly to declutter my bedside table, and whenever you can responsibly travel again it will be easy to just put in the bag and go. I will take it easy on the folding though and only do so when needed. Thanks for doing that test!
What if the material was the same one used on the Apple Watch solo loop bands? I feel like it would be a better material to use, especially on the hinge part of it, because it is more durable and flexible, and possibly easier to clean if it gets dirty

Each fold in 9 seconds creating the friction and heat,that’s why only 180 folds,it will last much longer,don’t worry.

Wow, the durability is a bit shocking, so I hope it doesn't hold true, but for as much traveling as I do, literally no other multi device charger compares, so this was an instant buy for me!
Thank you for the info on durability. I was about to buy one until I saw this. Imo it should be able to withstand more for the price. Maybe you could do a review on the Belkin 3-in-1 Magsafe Charger. I just got one today and it's great. Still looking for a solution for a travel multi charger.
Thanks for the video. I purchased one, and yes, quite shocked about the durability. I purchased it for travel, or for those few times where I need something to quickly charge any of my devices. Hopefully since I don’t use it too much I’ll get more life out of it.

Am i understanding that correctly? If I travel a lot. Put this in my bag twice a day and fold it both times. This should last about 100 days? Is this correct?

Will this work well with the 20W Anker nano?
When I first saw it at the Keynote, I was pretty excited for it. But I don’t think I can justify that price especially since this charger doesn’t even include a wall adapter.

A great Apple duo charger! I use it bedside exclusively and keep the Apple Watch charger in my jacket/vest.

Regarding the durability, i think you can have that replaced by Apple...I have a smart battery case for my iphone xs, although it breaks a lot, but they replace it twice for me. So it's fine.
2:44 what's the keyboard here. I thought it was apple magic keyboard space grey, but space grey one has grey gap in between key. This is one is all black!

For a durability test video, test footages is essential, at least some photos. Or else it has no difference from a audio podcast.

I dislike how flimsy the hinge appears to be. For $129, it needs to come with a power brick. I like the idea of it, especially for travel but I’m unconvinced it’s going to be reliable or worth the premium price.

hey, just wanna ask. how frequent and fast were those folds? If I do get this I’ll be folding it alot as i plan to use my phone while charging and thus lifting the charger up alot while folded. if they got 180 folds at average folding speed with an appropriate cooldown time between folds then there’s no way in hell i’m buying this, especially considering it’s more than $120+ and no brick?! might stick to magsafe solo or just plain old cords-to-device ports

i still don’t understand the complaints about not having a charging brick in the box, i use one brick for all my devices, my mac book air brick, the complaint should be apple not lowering the price of all these devices since we are getting less in the box

No. You charge the AirPods on the side you charge the phone on
Something about the testing doesn’t sound right. 180 folds in less than a year is totally possible for a traveler. Rough handling while folding maybe?

It's your money don't pay no mind to those saying the price is too much most of those people spend more on that for unhealthy habits, I bought it and love it.
Wish Apple's MagSafe Duo Wireless Charger came in Black 🖤 Silicone or even Gray instead of just White. White is going to seriously discolor over time.

These are just gimmicks... I’m fine with my 20W charger... it takes minutes to charge the 12 pro max to 80% and I’m fine for the rest of the day
Remember when everyone gave Apple crap for being late with wireless charging and they’re saying it’s a useless feature 🤔
I thought MagSafe was up to 15W, so why does this max out to 14W even with higher wattage charging bricks?
You won’t notice it, you rarely see 15w at the phone end especially with a case on

@@falcon759 nope not true, phone gets hotter battery temp increases and charging rate is reduced
@@TheWretchedWorld Actually, it is true, at least with the Apple MagSafe cases. I've tried both ways and there is no difference. The case dissipates heat to the surrounding air, so that's not an issue as long as your environment is cool and there's open air around your phone.
I’m happy with my 7.5 watt amazon charger for 15 bucks
It sounds and looks like a great product but not for £129. I’ll stick to my anker doubel usb plug and charge at night!
When you say the hinge breaks after just a couple hundred folds, do you mean the charger stops working or the hinge resistance doesn’t work anymore.
That is disappointing durability. What bag is it that you are using to organize your chargers and cables?
It’s a Peak Design Tech Pouch, I have one and loved it for carrying my tech odds and ends during the Before Times.
I’m so lucky when it comes to the power bricks all my brother and sister have iPad Pro so we have a bunch of em lilying around
I'm glad that the testing lab was in the Metro Washington DC area. I wouldn't trust a testing lab in any other area. No Siree Bob.

I agree. I’d like one but it’s ridiculously overpriced. I can afford it, I just don’t think it’s worth it. Why buy a charging product and have to still buy another product to plug it in?

@@ThePianstJames I didn’t realize the charging was four hours. Wow. For me it was me of a convenience factor. I don’t drive other than a Vespa. I live downtown and I always have my watch, phone, and AirPods with me. Just thought it would be easier to slip in my pocket than carrying multiple chargers to the bar. Lol. Still not worth it.

There is a video of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 1 120,000 times failure hard test by cnet. (It is also once every 0.8 seconds.) Doesn't Apple even do basic tests?

At this time as a "Person at Risk" I #StayHome only go out to shop for food once every two weeks and always #MaskUP #SocialDistance. See this as a device I would only if I traveled so not my cup of tea.

Awesome video! It’s good to know how durable the new dual charger is. I plan to buy one but I will only use it at home and use the single charger on the go. I’ll wait and see what happens on Christmas before I make any more purchases. However, I did mama single charger at the same time I purchased my iPhone. I really like Max safe.. However, I have found just using the standalone cable and 20 W but after his faster than Max safe.
This is ridiculous at $129 .. I wonder how many they actually sell .. not what they send out for people to review and promote free

Sounds like a product you just leave on your nightstand unfolded and only should fold it for travel.
MagSafe duo does not work with apple 29W USB C charger. Disappointing.
I travel every single week... i would fold and unfold the this device 4-6 times a week, twice a day... that would mean it wouldn't even last a year before breaking by your lab testing which is a disaster for a "travel" charger that costs $129! this device is an overpriced device for use in your home where you leave it untouched on the nightstand except for perhaps your once or twice a year vacation. I can't help but feel the product is a joke even though I desperately wanted to like it.
