The "Energy Accumulator" is an Ultracapacitor based system which prolongs the life of the 12v battery by providing instant short burst power... i.e when starting the car. The capacitor itself is an industry standard size which can be replaced if you have the electronic skills... but be careful, it packs enough power to melt a decent sized wire if short circuited, as Ultracapacitors can dump all the energy in an instant (and recharge almost instantly too), due to the low resistance inside.
You had a lot easier job with your condenser replacement than I had with mine today Mine was on a BMW APINA X3 with additional body kit bonded to the original bumper what an absolute nightmare I would of much rather had your DS3 to do 🙂
We get loads of stuff from the scrap yard...desgauce...here in Catalunya,Spain....quite often makes it viable to repair the car rather than condeming it ..
I think there ought to be a much wider use of 2nd hand parts. It is quite clear from the repairs that are evidenced on various You Tube Channels that a high standard can be maintained in the repair process. This car could have probably been a write off if second hand parts had moût been used. 👍😎
Hi baz please do a post regarding the accumulator Because I’ve got to sort that out in my daughter’s car so this has popped up at a good time . I understand that it’s under the Wheel arch passenger side . Regards
Supercaps can give you the good news pretty rapido if you diddle about with them - they pack a jolt. Doing the head gasket on a Navara today - sweet Lord... will never complain about any job again ever after this yoke. They are the spawn of santa. People say BMW's are a sod to work on - they're a doddle compared to the nightmares Nissan incorporate into their creations.
HI baz great vid so was the customers diagnosis he needed a new condenser or did you diagnose it before ? great work getting that cond clutch from a breakers yard !!
Baz i have sent you an email regarding a quote on my wet belts. (The email on your RUclips, the Hotmail account) What garage do you work at? Contact info?

Great Scott, the flux capacitor failed. 🤣🤣

Today we learned. Thanks. Never had an idea these had an "energy accumulator".

I don't know I just got passed the job this morning buddy 🤙
Why did u use a air bag on front end between rad and turbo to stop engine leaning into fans when disconnecting mounts
I had the same problem I just let car go because the part was to expensive
Can you use silicone grease on ac o-rings?
Recommend pag oil buddy
needs must good job
hi baz....i sent you an email about cambelt replacement...i hope you will be able to see and reply...thank you
Energy Accumulator...They don't have the pace to fit an auxiliary battery.
Can they not make stuff more complicated or more expensive.
it's better to say "new to me" instead of brand new second hand, which is a logical contradiction
It's an old saying I've said for years 😂😂
I thought it was rob at salvage rebuilds who started that 😂😂@@bazmeredith
‘Brand new used’ and ‘brand new second-hand’ are standard jokes that you hear a lot on automotive RUclips channels.
