I am going through a rough time right now with my health and it amplifying my health anxiety. I found that this guided mediation helped me stay right now and right here. I was able to mark floating thoughts as ideas and remind myself to come back to my breathing. Thank you!
Thank you. i like the fact that your all meditations are without music and it covers all topics which human face difficulty on daily basis. Keep up the good work. ❤️❤️
This was a great meditation for managing anxiety, but I didn't really see how it addressed health anxiety, specifically (other than using that phrase). I suppose I was expecting something more pointed to share with a friend with severe health anxiety. But I'll definitely pass this on as a general guided meditation.
Here is an observation that some of you may find interesting. People who have experienced anxieties in childhood, but at that time were not aware of their anxiety, can experience that sounds become excessively loud. As a child, when I became sick, I sometimes experienced any sounds that were scarily loud. Now I know, that it is my excessive thinking about being sick, "getting lost in thoughts" that is the cause of my anxiety! It is our thinking minds that cause too much worry, insecurities, fears and anxieties. We need the help of meditations to observe overtime the workings of our own minds to come to terms with it and "let go" of it. We all need to sleep! We all need to bring R and R, rest and relaxation, into our lives! My father used to say that life is just a habit. If only it was that simple! ADB,MD
When you feel worried this meditation teaches how to face your anxiety by anchoring your mind to your breathing sensations and gradually by relaxing your in-breath and your out-breath and returning to your breathing sensations when your mind wanders into thinking other thoughts, and allowing yourself to observing and letting go of these wandering thoughts, and then returning to watching your breath sensations and noticing how much calmer you feel. By practicing this meditation you strengthen your muscles of resilience.....Do not give up! I;m still working at it! I know how worry feels, I know how stress feels, I know how fear and anxiety feels,,,, I know how you feel... Feeling these sensations and emotions and and letting go of them, along with keeping our minds and bodies occupied so that our minds do not get lost in lazy overthinking is the way towards learning that we have nothing to fear.
