Hey thanks so much for this! I'm gonna move from Brazil to Sanya and it has been the thoughest decision I ever made, I'll be a complete foreigner in a different land so this video helped me a lot to see what kind of place I'm getting into :)
Glad my video helps, hope you enjoy the place. I considered about living in Sanya 2 years ago, but Hainan is too wet for me, and after enjoyed the food in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, the food in Hainan is not delicious enough. :)
@@chaostravellog hahah yeah, I heard about the food differences hahah To be honest I wanted to Chengdu, it's still in the plans. Either Chengdu or Xi'an. But right now Sanya is what I can do haha it's not so easy to find a job in China while I'm not there yet. Maybe after I move I can move up north.
@@LuckyXinRu Chengdu is a very sweet big city, especially for the people love hot food. Summer is good, there are also many delicious fruits, but winter might be cold and wet if you don't like the cold weather. As for Xi'an, another cold city for me..Being there for 2 times, but I don't really like there due to some unreasonable people. Well, just my personal experience, it's never a bad idea to experience life in different cities.
@@chaostravellog Interesting takes, thanks! I don't mind the cold so Chengdu still winning the race haha but I guess I'll have to stay a while in Sanya first then I can travel to the places before making a decision. There are so many places I want to visit like Wuhan, Henan, Shanghai ...
As for Sanya, it's some kind boring for me, maybe you can go to Lingshui or Wanning, then Wenchang. The fishing raft village at Xincun port of Lingshui is definitely worth to see.

Luhuitou Park day and night time get a good view of Sanya on mountain top, Wuzhizhou Island Surfing village, Nanshan Buddhist Temple, CDF Mall - huge luxury brand duty free mall, Atlantis Sanya - huge aquarium in hotel and water park, Nanshan Daxiao Dongtian Tourism Area, Da dong hai Tourism Area, Baihuagu Commercial Street Plaza around Yalong Bay, Drive along the Taiyangwan Road (super car road) for nice view - at the end there's a nice beach access, Clear Water Bay Marina, Tianya Beach Village, and several Turtle farm and dragon fruit farm etc. Best to download a Chinese map because they mess up the streets on google maps on purpose to restrict viewing.

Thank you for the detailed information, it should help the visitors. Sanya do have beautiful beach and some large shopping mall, Tianya village is the place some locals do live there, but being commercialize too much, many hotels in village running by outsiders. For experience some place with local cultural, Lingshui, Wenchang and Haikou may bettter.
In Sanya, it should be fine, some staff can understand basic English. In other place of Hainan, it depends.. Definitely need translate tool if you go to countryside. The dialects in some places are very difficult to understand, even for Chinese..
