I like how this mod adds almost no new hostile mobs. All the mobs are either completely docile, scared of you, or only become hostile if you go out of your way to make them. Even Crusher eventually becomes friendly.

@tvhead2426 my brother in christ Frankenstein is the scientist who made the monster. the monster never got a name because frankenstein was too scared of the fact that his creation was actually alive to bother doing anything but cowering away in his room. the monster was awoken with a fully developed mind and even though it couldn't speak yet it still understood most things around it and had no intentions of violence until it realized how shitty frankenstein was to it and how shitty people treat it because its different
If you use the subtitles and hear the Mammutilation, one of it's sounds says "Mammutilation tries to breath", which probably means that this being is in constant pain.
Seeing the Mammutilation makes me wish we can PROPERLY bring back the big guy, but I still love the charm of "IDK what it looks like, it's probably correct!" plus this guy looks unsettling.

You got these cute lil' underground snails, turtles that sneeze back the ancient past, telepathic birds, a seussian weirdo with an extendo neck, An Undead Mastodon With Its Head Chopped In Half That Vomits Blood, some fish-- Not a complaint at all, just incredibly funny to me to have such an unabashedly morbid creature amidst all these more cartoonish creatures. Hits a balance I kind of like in Minecraft, which is a nice plus, but still
The treeper is by far my favourite. They are HUGE and utterly terrifying, but they’re also super chill. It could just be me being a huge fan of the old growth taiga already, but I really love how much it adds to the game
I now have a headcanon that warped wart (and maybe regular nether wart) is cool to the touch, so the Wraptor’s feathers are like completely gunked up with it, which is why the feather item they shed is white, not teal, because their feathers are naturally white, but they’re just kind of covered in warped wart. Losing all their feathers gets them agitated cause now they’re way too warm, and distressed. They lose them naturally in the overworld cause it’s cooler in the overworld, so they lose them so as not to freeze. I don’t know if they still become hostile in the overworld when they lose all of their feathers, but if so it’s probably because they instinctively get agitated when they’re not covered in feathers and gunk, or they get uncomfortable when they don’t have their feathers. Wraptors having white feathers and red skin could also mean they might be related to Striders, as they have red skin and white hair/whiskers.
This reminds me of some of those really early mods like Creeps and Weirdoes or Mo' Creatures which just and random lil cuties that make the world feel more toony

The Troopers remind me of the Baby Creeper you can get from an egg after killing the Mutant Creeper in the Mutants mod, and it kinda makes me feel bad knowing they're just gonna self-destruct at the first sign of hostile mobs. It'd be nice to just have a way to make them sit somewhere, rather than having them follow you around to sacrifice themselves for you.
this mod maker really dumped all their points into sound design, but still somehow had enough points left over for awesome models, animations, mechanics, and just all around concept designs. but man the sound design really shines imo
i can see how this mod would be great with a synergy to ars nouveau. Archwood treepers that can help you get the fruit and troopers that can help with defense or become stationary throwing their fruit at players, buffing them. birts as a proximity trigger for spell-runes. Roombugs that help Starbuncles with hauling items. Amethyst golems acting like shepperds towards Limpets. Goobers helping you with growing magebloom. Mammutilations ichor helping with developing new spell glyphs.
Just imagine how dynamic Minecraft could be if this game gave mobs unique interactions and reactions to each other, and if they were realistically intelligent.

Please note that there is a bug that causes the game to crash if lightning strikes the lightning rod while summoning Mammutilation.

I love the sound design. Every mob has such a unique sound. My favourite is the almost "bitcrushed" sounds of the birt

I like how a lot of the mobs feel like something you’d see from older version mods, but with higher quality animations.

Each of these mobs brings so much flavour and personality to their biomes, add some form of utility, and they all look so silly and fun :DDD
