We're glad you're finding this video helpful for fixing your Samsung washing machine! Just a quick word of caution. If you're ordering parts online, especially from places like Amazon or eBay, be careful that many of the cheaper aftermarket parts are of much lower quality. We've seen many cases where these parts leak and cause costly water damage to homes.
For peace of mind, we always recommend using original OEM parts. You can find the high-quality Samsung parts on our website at partsdr.com While they might be a bit more expensive upfront, they'll save you money and prevent future headaches down the road.
Thanks for watching, and good luck with your repair!
As a single mom I want to thank you for this video. I ordered parts from Amazon fixed it leaking water sensor by watching your video. You saved me so much money . Thank you so much 🙏
Great job fixing it yourself! 👏 Just a heads up though, that the aftermarket parts sold on Amazon are low quality, and there's a risk of the valve leaking, which could lead to water damage in your home. We recommend checking out the original OEM Samsung part on our site at partsdr.com While it may cost a bit more upfront, it’ll save you money and prevent headaches in the long run. Thanks again for watching, and keep up the awesome work!
My samsung wouldn't stop filling even when unplugged. Ordered the $25 part and fixed it in twenty minutes. Thanks!
It shows me $93 on Parts Dr.
It went EXACTLY how you said. I repaired my washer in about 20 minutes! Thank you😎
Great!!! Nice job fixing it yourself! How did your washer act when the original valve failed?
Short, sweet and to the point, just the way I like it. One of the lines is leaking very slowly into the drum, can't tell which, but this looks pretty easy and will replace both. Thanks for the video.
Thanks! Good luck with the repair!
Thanks for providing the detail instruction. I just purchased the part from Parts Dr! After discussing the buying options with our daughters... LOL We've all agreed to buy from you guys.
Thank you for supporting us!
I've just made the same repair exactly following this video. This was excellent - keep up the good work. Keep on keeping up!
Nice job fixing it!
this guy is awesome I just love RUclips videos I saved over 2 grand so far and repairs with my suv and washing machine repairs it was giving this nf1 code error in I ordered a part that cost 250 at the appliance store for 45 bucks off ebay thanks for your video for all of us
Nice job!
@@PartsDr thanks for your awesome videos I got this washer for free and used it 2 times in it threw that code
Thanks for the great video. You just saved me quite a bit in repairman costs. Got the new one installed quick.
Nice job fixing it yourself!
Wonderful video...saved me over $250. Thank you so much
Nice job fixing it yourself!
Really great video. Step by step instructions were awesome. First time watching your video and it fixed the issue!!!
Nice job fixing it yourself!
Excellent video, short and to the point.
Great thanks!
Great instructions. Super easy to install.
This video is great! I'm sorry I didn't find it before I purchased the part but I'll remember parts doctor for future purchases!
Thanks, we appreciate it!
Thank you for posting this video. It is very helpful. Thanks!
You're welcome! How was your washer acting when the water valve failed?
YES! ...EXACTLY. Thank you!! "crisis" solved...
You're welcome!
Thank you so much... well explained video
You're welcome!!
Yes I’m basically having the same problem everybody having my thing is striped because the hot water keeps leaking. So I need find where to order the water valve inlet thanks to you I know how to put it on and everything
Hi Kisha, just search your washers model number on our website partsdr.com and it should be easy to find!
@@PartsDr yes it really was and I wanted say thank you for showing me so to repair it myself
Thanks! Looks like an easy repair. My Samsung wa50r5400av/us is not filling with hot or cold water, it's also not giving me an error code. I suspect that a new valve will fix it, but could it also be the pressure sensor??
Does the water valve hum when it should be calling for water?
Yes a bad pressure sensor or a kink of restriction in the pressure hose could cause it to act similar to this.
So my issue ended up being that the door was not latching, and there was no error code to indicate what the issue was. Definitely something to look for first before moving on to the water inlet valve.
@@williepiper2833 Thank you for sharing! That is good to know!
Good video keep up the good work. Thanks🙂
Thank you!
Love the channel! Would this work if my cold water side leaked and sprayed all over and now the washer will not even power on?
That sounds like two different issues. If the water valve leaked onto the circuit board(s), it could have friend one of the circuit boards.
@@PartsDr appreciate the reply. I took apart the board and plugged everything back in and have power now so I think I’ll order a new inlet board. You’re right two different issues
Update, somehow it powered back on and now it has a new valve and works perfectly
My washer started leaking water during a hard freeze …it started snowing ..I’m in the south ..first time ever temperature dropped severely low.. water started filling the tub ..now it just leaks water into the tub ..do you think it’s the inlet valve ? Thx in advance .. I just want to make sure before I go through all this
Try unplugging the washer. If water continues to leak into the tub while the washer is unplugged, that indicates the water valve is bad and will need to be replaced.
@ thank you so much for responding! I will try that . And thank you so much for this video! You def saving people time , money and a big headache ..much love from NOLA💕💕💕
@@PartsDrjust to make sure I understand you ..when you say it’s the water valve ..do you mean the inlet water valve like in this video ? Thx in advance…my washer didn’t give me an error code ..but it’s leaking water not much ..just a drip ..and the water pressure is kind of low .. could it be the inlet water valve or a sensor? So sorry to keep bothering you and thx in advance
@@Strawberryfreeze3000 If the washer continues to fill with water when unplugged, that indicates that the water inlet valve on the washer is bad and will need to be replaced.
@ Thank you💕
Thank you!!!
You're welcome! What kind of problem is your washer having with the water valve?
So simple to follow! I feel like I can rebuild an engine or something lol! Thanks for the video it solved my water issue
Great to hear! Nice job fixing it yourself!
Great video!
I’m replacing my water inlet valve because it appears that the fabric softener valve is clogged.
Great! Let us know how the repair goes for you!
@@PartsDr No joy🥲; The softener tray didn’t completely empty after 1st test. Could this be due to the softener being too thick?
@@CharlestonUWH Try cleaning out the dispenser drawer components as sometimes if they get clogged up they will not siphon properly to empty.
@@PartsDr still no 🥲 joy
@@CharlestonUWH try diluting it down with water
How often does the solenoid valve spoil or how durable are these valves ?
The OEM Samsung valves are pretty good quality. But all water valves can fail over time due to hard water and mineral deposits that can cause failure over time.
Can these just suddenly not work, or stop working due to sitting?
I replaced the clutch on my washer but now it won't fill with water
Will this fix my hot water issue? Hot water wont come out, only cold water and we got our plumbing redone so it’s not that.
Yes, if the hot solenoid on the water inlet valve fails it can cause the washer to not fill with hot water.
Threaded part replaceable? Where hoses connect?
No, you would need to replace the water valve if the threaded part is stripped or damaged.
Could this also be why my washer doesn’t fill with cold water, only hot? I’ve checked other things like making sure the cold water faucet is open all the way
Yes, a bad water inlet valve can cause the washer to act this way.
@@PartsDr thanks for the swift response!
How important are the black hoses to be put back on the right side I took it apart and I don't remember which one went where
The hoses usually connect to things like the detergent dispenser, bleach dispenser, and fabric softener dispenser. If the hoses are connected in the wrong order, it will be sending water to the wrong area of the machine.
Nice 👍 video
Thanks! Was your washer displaying an error code?
I am getting code 4C, do I need to do this?
The 4C error code is often caused by a bad water inlet valve. Read more about it here: partsdr.com/blog/how-to-fix-a-samsung-washer-4e-or-4c-error-code/
Do you think this is the solution for a very noisy washer while filling with water?
My inlet valve has plastic screens in the hot and cold inlet valve. Do they come out or are they suppose to be that way.
Some models use plastic screens instead of metal screens. They are supposed to be there and they should be left in place.
Any comments on the type of valve - (OEM or after market?) - the OEM get lots of bad reviews on Amazon but so do the aftermarket units - how do i get the best part ? - thanks
The problem is that many of the products advertised as OEM on Amazon are not OEM products. Amazon is not an authorized dealer for any of the major appliance parts brands that we know of. From our experience, we have seen a lot of problems with aftermarket, knock-off, and counterfeit water valves. We don't think it is worth the risk, as a faulty valve can flood and damage your house and easily cause tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage. If you are interested in genuine OEM parts, you can search our site partsdr.com
Please forgive my ignorance, but I have a question. Why is the part you offer for my washing machine $93 and there are three same parts selling for as little as $25 or $26 on Amazon and other websites?
Again I don't know anything about anything when it comes to washer repair. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Amazon is not an authorized dealer for Samsung appliance parts. All of the ones sold on Amazon in that price range are aftermarket or knock off parts. We have heard many horror stories about aftermarket/knock off water valves flooding houses (just ask any appliance repair professional). You may save a little up front, but in the end it could cost you a lot if the part fails. Make sure you have good homeowners insurance! Also, Amazon does not make free appliance repair videos showing you how to fix your appliances 😉.
@@PartsDr Thank you so much for the quick reply!! Well I assumed that it was going to be from Big Bob's house of knock off parts but I'm not sure that that inlet valve is as complicated as many other parts and unfortunately I don't have $93. I'm a metaplastic cancer patient living on a minimal amount of fixed income and while I absolutely appreciate your videos so much because without them I would not be able to make this repair myself, your quality authorized official parts are out of my budget. Such is life sometimes unfortunately. I will most definitely purchase your parts should my finances change. Because your videos are fantastic and they've taught me so very very much. Thank you ❤️
Thanks
Do you perhaps have the DC92-00658C PC board?
That does not come up as a valid part number. Make sure you have the correct part number ruclips.net/video/cLon_5r2LdQ/видео.html
@@PartsDr it's a correct one for the Samsung Washer Dryer. The machine is WX4211XVM.
@@thabisomodise2529 parts may not be available for this appliance because it is a non USA model.
@@PartsDr yes it was for South Africa and Australia. I have struggled for the whole 6 months and I am trying to save this machine. In Australia they it is model number WD1102XVM. Do you perhaps have contacts that can assist me?
@@thabisomodise2529 Sorry, we do not.
I did the same thing, I rewired the piece but now it's like it's direct, the cold water doesn't stop coming out as soon as you turn on the washing machine and I don't know what it is.
I'm this video as I'm trying to change the Assy Body Detergent: huds DC97-16962A / AP5622492, which is the component that sits below. Does it just unscrew and pop off?
Yes it looks like once the water valve is removed that you would unscrew the two screws and slide it out. partsdr.com/part/dc97-16962a-detergent-container
I replaced my valve now no water is going into the washer what did i do wrong? Can the new part be defective?
What was the issue with the original water valve? We have seen a lot of issues with the aftermarket parts being sold on Amazon.
If water is only leaking from the hot water valve inlet, would replacing the the whole valve assembly might solve the problem ? I already tried replacing the hoses but the leak occurs in the same valve.
It sounds like replace the water valve might solve your issue. You will have to make that diagnosis, we aren't able to do that over the internet.
@@PartsDr Thanks for the response, I used a multimeter and the reading was below 1000 ohms (940ohms was the reading). All others were 1000 ohms or greater.
@@CarlosHernandez-ll2kr An ohm test won't tell you if the valve is leaking or if one of the solenoids is stuck open or closed.
@@PartsDr Ok thanks! I will be ordering the part from your site. Hopefully it all works out. Thanks
First off thank you for a very simple and easy to follow instructions great job. But why does parts DR rip you off on price, Parts Dr has the price for the valve at $97 and then $15 shipping so $112 but i can buy the part straight from Samsung for $22 and no shipping fee.
Those numbers don't make sense. What is the model number and part number?
@@PartsDr DC97-15459H is the part number for my washer with sale price you have it listed for $92 not including shipping, Samsungs web sight has it for $23 as does amazon, and amazon is free shipping
@@ruutocka3536 Samsung's site does not have it for $23. Any part that you are finding in that price range is a knock off or aftermarket part. That is VERY risky with a part that controls water flow as we have seen them flood people's houses. Here is a link to Samsung's site: www.samsungparts.com/Products/Parts_and_Accessories/PID-DC97-15459H.aspx
@@PartsDr Most of the listings on Amazon say OEM or Genuine but each lists a different manufacturer. Are the parts from the same manufacturer Samsung uses or at least contain the same exact parts? Maybe, maybe not. Looking for a DC97-15459G I see one that specifically claims it's made from the same OEM manufacturer. I ended up buying from a seller claiming it's OEM and gives a 5 year warranty. I figure my washer is in a pan attached to a floor drain, I have a flood alarm, and I have no faith in Samsung anymore anyway so I might as well save some money. The new one looks exactly like Samsung's. It's probably the same factory selling to whoever wants to buy in bulk. I highly doubt Samsung's cost is nearly as much for the part as they are selling it for however they may be paying extra to ensure the factory does quality control checks and to get batches strictly adhering to the set standards. Not that it seems to be doing them any good.
@@kamX-rz4uy All of the ones on Amazon in that price range are aftermarket or knock off parts. We have heard many horror stories about aftermarket/knock off water valves flooding houses. Make sure you have good homeowners insurance!
My washer is leaving parts of sand and dirt on my clothes after I wash them is there a clogged filter somewhere that's holding dirt back why is it making my clothes dirtier after I wash them
That doesn't sound like a problem relating to a bad water inlet valve. For that you may need to take the washer apart and clean it. Also, check to make sure your drain pump is properly draining the water out of the washer. Here is a video on disassembling the washer here: ruclips.net/video/OKarymySPuE/видео.html
Can this also mean why I’m getting a C4 code?
Yes, a bad water inlet valve can cause a 4C error code.
@@PartsDr no wonder I’ve been getting a C4 code lately! Thank you
How do you replace the hoses?
Which hoses are you looking to replace?
The plastic on my water hose line is striped and the hose worn stay on. Is there any solution to this besides replacing the whole inlet value system
Unfortunately, if the threads on the valve are stripped you will have to replace the water inlet valve assembly.
I did all you said butt I had to remove black hoses by removing round white cap to get to a black hose. Put everything back together and have no power
Myn filling with hot water even thoe i put it on cold
Did you check to make sure you don't have the hoses from the house to the washer connected backwards?
So you’re telling me….I have to replace the whole thing just because the plastic threading is stripped and won’t hold a hose fitting?
Yes, that is correct, the water valve would need to be replaced if the plastic threading is stripped.
I have the same problem, I changed the inlet valve, and it doesn't work, I keep getting the NF error... help please...
Hi Edwin, did you replace the inlet valve with a genuine OEM Samsung part or an aftermarket part? Have you checked the water supply to the washer?
@@PartsDr I was able to fix it, the only bad thing was. a small tube, which I really don't know what it's for, had detached from where it came installed, I connected it again and that's it! In the end it wasn't the inlet..
@@chigui08 Great, thanks for sharing! It sounds like maybe it was the pressure sensor hose like we show here: ruclips.net/video/c6gKsgPcHrg/видео.html
@@PartsDr yeesss..!!

Thank you 🙏
You're welcome! Was your washer showing an error code when the water valve failed?
I AM GETTING A 4E CODE WHEN FILLING. THE UNIT ALSO LEAKS FROM THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER. I HAVE INSPECTED THE HOSES AND INLET VALVE SCREENS AND SEE NO ISSUE WITH THEM. WOULD I BE CORRECT TO THINK THE INLET VALVE IS BAD AND NEEDS REPLACED? THANKS IN ADVANCE
First check to make sure the water supply to your washer is good. If there is power being sent to the valve and the valve isn't dispensing water then the valve is bad and it will need to be replaced. Let us know what you find.
