Does anyone else here that there are a bit more cheers for "The Mouth of The South" than there were boos?? That is because he was so much more ahead of his time than most of the managers in the business at the time.
For a bunch of Rulebreakers, Jimmy Hart and the First Family sure had a lot of fun here! Seeing The Dream Machine with a piece of Chicken Skin hanging from the side of his mouth was hilarious! You can tell, though, that Jimmy Hart, as bad as he could be at times, was still a riot! He pushed people to the edge...and then pushed 'em OVER the edge, in terms of human emotions. He did his job, and did it well. That's why he's still mentioned, revered, and famous, even here in good ol' 2023!
Hair Helmet...I love the way you put that! It did look like some sort of a fancy helmet, didn't it? I wonder how much hairspray he used, to get such a coif of hair to hold in place like that? Looks like he used at least a can of hairspray a day. That hair is so stiff, it looks like you'd need a chisel and a hammer, to get through it!
Future WWF entrance music of the 'Macho Man' Randy Savage Pomp and Circumstance, always for me anyway will be associated with the M.M., one of those rare guys I liked as a baby face or heel.
Happy Birthday to you! I personally love being alive, no matter what has happened to me. I thank The Good Lord Upstairs for every breath that he gives me!
Here's a thought:Can you imagine what would've happened, had The Dream Machine, and "The Macho Man" Randy Savage, ever teamed up? They woulda been nigh-on unstoppable! Both of those Gentlemen were definitely Men of Power! They both had plenty of charisma to go around, too. The most important element that they both had, was that they had the "It" factor. These Men were tailormade for Wrestling...and they knew it! May they both Rest In Peace and Power!!!
I'm not sure if you're joking or being serious, but that wasn't Dusty Rhodes ...... That was The Dream Machine, Troy Graham, who was always ear candy on the mic.
that crown looks like its about to fall off...old jimmy has to work hard to keep it on his head...looks like its being kept on with pins or something...
Koko Ware was also nicknamed 'Sweet Brown Sugar' and donned the mask as 'Stagger Lee', he even formed the tag team with Norvell Austin as the PYT's (Pretty Young Things)
Being stationed at Ft Campbell at this time was a wrestling ..."blessing"!
"Sylvester" was Plowboy Frazier's pet rooster. Plowboy left the First Family so Jimmy Hart and crew ate his rooster. Only on Memphis Rasslin' baby!!!
Im from the East but I can honestly admit Memphis wrestling was ahead of its time and dont get alot of credit..
How many people didn't believe that Koko was a heel?
Me
Yep. If you only knew him from the Then-WWF, then you'd of never known that he'd been a Heel Wrestler, several years before that.

Koko b ware is my favorite wrestler all time on memphis wrestling
Jimmy Hart really was "The Mouth of the South." Lol.
Jimmy Hart. He knew how to stir the crowd up big time. He was great

I love Chick Donavon's Hair Helmet!

WWE fans would be shocked but for Mid South Wrestling fans not so much. Koko was later a viscious heel in the USWA.
Yea I'm just learning about that more as we speak
Crazy to think that i was born the same night this happened.
Happy Birthday to you! I personally love being alive, no matter what has happened to me. I thank The Good Lord Upstairs for every breath that he gives me!
now this is wrestling 😮 -
Nice touch to use what would be Randy Savage's WWF theme music there by Dream Machine.
Gorgeous George was using Pomp and Circumstance when Randy was a toddler in the 1950s.

If one word defined Memphis wrestling it would be....BUCKWILD!!!!!
Nice patriotic bow tie by Jimmy Hart.
LOL🤣!
1:10 enough to make the hair stand up on your neck, even worse with that polarized megaphone in NY; lol
It's not lost on me that this chicken angle was done with Koko B. Ware in attendance. Still funny, though.
Phil: Only two years later a very young Terry Taylor could've been part of this as a face no less!B.W.
Jerry the king Lawler is the real king on memphis Tennessee
Clearly, the video evidence shows its Jimmy Hart
"Golden Boy" Chick Donovan, & "the Birdman" Koko B. Ware."-🤔🖥☕..
Jimmy Hart is taller than Koko?
Jimmy Hart was 5'10" and Koko was 5'7".
Jimmy Hart still looks the same all except his neck is a little wrinkled, koko looks completely different however
Colourds~!
Sweet Brown Sugar?! Wasn't there somebody already working in various NWA territories by that name? Darren Young's daddy for one? 🤔😱B.W.
Dusty Rhodes in the mask? Rocky King as Koko b Ware
I'm not sure if you're joking
or being serious, but that wasn't

Coco didn't last long with these guys! Lol

How long was Coco B. Ware in the First Family?
KBW could easily be Xavier Woods's uncle!B.W.
Arrogance gone to far
