This was every Saturday morning for me as a young’un. WMC-TV channel 5. You know you are in a serious wrasslin area when your weatherman cohosts the wrasslin show. Good times.
I agree watch the show then my brother and I would wrestle each other after the show. Problem was a body slam actually hurts on a living room floor when you don’t know how to take a bump.
Bill wrestled out of the Atlanta territory, he was a mid-card wrestler in Atlanta but was a main-eventer in Macon, Columbus and anywhere that Fred Ward promoted. He was one of the most underrated wrestlers of the sixties through the eighties. I've seen him wrestle hundreds of times, an excellent worker.
Jerry Lawler!!! Selling! Selling ! Selling ! Top face in Memphis making his opponent on TV for Monday nite- no ego- that's the way u do it- big house at the coliseum Monday nite- simple effective

LMFAO!!! It's a damn show! BUT...even if it were not fake! Jimmy Hart's character portrays a narcissistic, pathetic excuse of a man????? Two-faced people NEVER WIN!!
There were a lot of Super Destroyers around all of the NWA territories (Memphis, Mid-Atlantic, Florida, World Class, Georgia etc) and AWA; Some of the more famous Super Destroyers were Don Jardine, Sgt. Slaughter, The Iwin Bros (aka The Long Riders) and my own mentor Kevin Jordan performed as The Super Destroyer in the early 80s in a couple of promotions. Also there were several jobbers who worked the mask too.
Super Destroyer was Bill Eadie on Mid Atlantic wrestling. Don Jardine was the Spoiler and I remember one of the masked Assasins were unmasked by Jimmy Valiant. He turned out to be Hercules Hernandez. Mid Atlantic and Memphis wrestling along with Florida championship wrestling were the best wrestling anywhere in the 70s and 80s.
Bret Hart didn't need to put anyone over like Lawler did there . First Lawler was part owner of the territory & 2nd Hart was too good a wrestler to go out & put over mid-carders like this Super Destroyer.
Lawler, Dundee, hart, marlin, Russell, Jarrett and Brown were in on the scam and it made them all lots of cash. It also entertained a whole lot of folks like me.
HAHA,,I`m 42 and I dig what You are saying,,I grew up in Highview/Okalona and Noon on Sat,,,this is what was on,,,I remember this episode!!! Take it easy!!!!
Yeah... I've never heard Dromo billed at above 6' 3" and 280lbs. and that's likely an exaggeration. In reality he was probably 6' 1" or 2" and 250lbs. at his heaviest. I realize most wrestlers stats are slightly inflated, but you can't just add 100 lbs. and half a foot onto somebody. Doing stuff like that draws the veracity of everything a promotion does under scrutiny.
I liked the deal in Georgia where Irwin came in as the Super Destroyer after the Masked Superstar was suspended. Some faces argued it was just MS back as another masked man. Eventually Masked Superstar came back and they teamed up. As a kid, I thought Super D (Irwin) was a badass.

Super Destroyer played by a wrestler who got his start in Calgary Stampede Wrestling. Wild Bill Dromo. Without the mask he was mainly a jobber at least he was in Florida.
*Funny how a person doesn't like when something is done to them but is willing to do it to someone else. Sgt. Slaughter held numerous regional titles early in his career and experienced his first major success in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) capturing the NWA World Tag Team Championship with Don Kernodle. During the late 1970s, Remus worked the American Wrestling Association (AWA) territory under a mask as Super Destroyer Mark II with managers Lord Alfred Hayes and Bobby Heenan.
Mike Fix aware that Sgt. Slaughter was SD Mark 1 in AWA; SD Mark 2 was a wrestler from Quebec named Neil Guay. The wrestler seen here against Jerry Lawler was named Bill Dromo, a Calgary-born wrestler who got his start in Stampede Wrestling, but who spent the majority of his career wrestling in various promotions in the SE United States.

If I remember right, Scott Irwin and Don Jardine (Spoiler) had Super Destroyer gimmicks in different territories at the same time as this guy.
