    Hi Nick, well done. I love how you went thru the pros and cons of each quad. I ordered the Mobula 7 last weekend. The main reason was being able to easily Change the angle of the camera and being able to swap it out. Take care and keep your props up.

    I'd argue the US/UK65 has some advantages IF this is important to you compared to the Mobula 7:
    1. Cost. The US/UK65 is even cheaper at usually around $70-80. However, do be aware you should immediately buy a UR65 frame or similar because the US/UK65 hydrodipped frames break if you even give them a funny look. Still, that's $3.
    2. Parts are also less expensive, in addition to batteries if you compare running 1S against 2S. 2S takes twice the batteries to run.
    3. US65/UK65 both have Smart Audio, Mobula 7 doesn't.
    4. It's not just about speed limitations when choosing a smaller whoop. It's also about punch outs, too, and flattening your camera angle doesn't alone stop excessive climbs in close quarters. Granted, you could limit your throttle stick in your setup, but if you don't want to do that, a 65mm whoop is a good way to stop from smashing into the ceiling nearly as quickly or fast.
    5. Less disturbance of objects from crashing into them. The US/UK65s are out of the gate 6-7g lighter. Add an extra battery for the Mobula 7, and you're at 12g heavier. That may not sound like much, but you're talking a 50% increase in weight. I don't honestly know what qualitative difference that would make in crashes in terms of damage to trinckets and things around the house. My wife has little Disney figurines and stuff all over the place. I do know I can fly full tilt with the US65 into anything she has around the house, and it can't damage anything crashing into it. If you're worried about that, the lighter the whoop, the less likely you may damage stuff like that.
    For my house setup, I personally like the US/UK65. It's got the perfect amount of power for me to zoom around the circular fly track through the downstairs, and I love flying stupid fast like a bat out of hell, so ensuring I don't damage anything around my house when I crash a hundred times is an extremely high priority. My couches aren't particularly comfortable to sleep on. :-)

      That's a detailed responce and some valid points.......My problem with the uk/us65 which I originally wanted to buy was that my Frsky Taranis x9d se is the EU version so would not work with the uk65 straight out of the box so to speak I went on a few forums to find the answer but all I could find was either I had to change my tx software to international which then meant I would have to change my other 4 quads rx's to international to or I had to bind in D8 which no one really explained what i'd lose going from D16 to D8 (I know channels but how would that effect the quad ?)......So the Mobula7 with its choice of versions including the EU version was why I chose it over the others and with Nicks 3 videos he posted on here has persuaded me for my personal requirements I have made the right choice........But had I have had an international tx I would have bought the UK65 a few weeks ago before the Mobula7 was mentioned and released.
      However for the price I bought the Mobula7 for on Aliexpress (assumming it turns up ?) Looking at the side by side comparisons the Mobula7 can be run 1 or 2s whereas the UK65 can't so by changing camera angles I will have more choice for indoor and outdoor flying if I want.........This hobby is a personal preference and everyone will choose quads based on their requirements there's no right or wrong answer and the help others post on forums and RUclips gives everyone else choices so whatever you fly enjoy the hobby :)

    • @heroflying

      Any 70-75mm especially in 2s will perform circles around a 65mm, especially when it's 1s, when outdoors. None of these being discussed however is great outdoors. Definitely the Mobula 7 and Beta 75 are more versatile to do both. I wouldn't say the US/UK 65 is always better indoors. It depends on where indoors you're flying. For tighter quarters, I would argue the US/UK65 is better. Not to promote my channel, but look at my flying path compared to Nick's. ruclips.net/video/m_gW7Y7rV-Q/видео.html If you're flying predominantly indoors, and your flying track looks more like mine than Nick's with not as long straight shots, constant cornering, etc., I would argue in favor of the US/UK65, replacing the frame immediately because the hydrodipping makes the frame brittle (buy a $3 UR65 frame, or another frame of your choosing). If you're wanting a combo indoor/outdoor flyer, I would say go Mobula 7. One big caveat though is I've personally never felt it's a good idea to try to have something that can do both unless you're literally doing both in the same flights. These things are cheap enough on this class that you can easily buy the one that fits for each type of flying you might be doing. I tried that route with the King Kong ET100, thinking I could fly it indoors and outdoors to replace the whoops when I outgrew it for outdoors. Over the last 9 months, I bought the QX65, the UR 65, and the US65 trying to find the indoor flyer I wanted because the ET100 was too heavy and could cause damage inside the house on crashes, and it sucks flying outdoors compared to my 3" and 5" drones. The batteries have sat in storage charge for it for the last six months in almost that entire time, and the ET100 only gets flown as a basher quad when someone wants to try FPV. IE, you might wind up with something you don't particularly enjoy flying neither indoors nor outdoors and a waste of money.

      @frankbarajas 6 лет назад +1

      Different strokes for different folks, but why buy one when you can buy two, or even three? Also, you do realize this was in reference, mainly to a 2S class of whoop? In a previous video, he did say to buy the UR65 which is very similar to the US/UK 65, but came out before it. I bought a UR65 based on Nick's recommendation and have been very happy, but I would also love to have a US65 as well, such an awesome little beast of a machine, so I can totally see why you like yours so much. Happy flying!

    Nick guess what!.. When you change the prop direction back to normal yaw washout goes away! Tune doesn't cause it! The new Beta75 Pro 2 flies like a dream once you put prop direction back to normal and I'm betting it does the same for them all! (Mobula7 secret is it comes with direction already normal!)

    Just curious why you choose to glue the hoops to repair rather than using some typical Scotch tape. I'm not nearly as experienced as you with this. Tape seems to work for my breaks so far but I suspect you've discovered some significant flaw with tape.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  6 лет назад +1

      The tape I have tried (mainly back when brushed dominated micros) tended to tear pretty often. The welder/glue stays flexible and bonds well. I found new breaks on the same whoop were rare, the crash survive ability seems to go up.

      It would be interesting to try at the very least. I worry a bit about the motor stem strength. It wasn't that long ago the happymodel motor stems broke very easily in that scenario. Unfounded worry so far. You going to cut a frame? I ask as I am not aware of a frame with the corrector motor mounting. Maybe the flexrc mira.

    You're one of the only reviewers who did this one simple thing... side by side comparison... Betafpv 75X and Mobula7! I already bought the Betafpv 75X because of the XT30, but I'm curious about the Mobula7. That Mobula frame looks flimsy to me though. The 75X has the best looking frame I've seen as far as crash worthy and lightweight. Interesting points here. Many times what you said makes me glad I went through with it!

    How do you fly these whoop indoors in ACRO mode? I have no issues flying 3 and 5 inch quads in ACRO mode in tight quarters and racing them on a track through gates. When I switch to the tiny whoops, I can not fly them in ACRO mode. It's almost impossible. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. What's your secret? I can fly tiny whoops in STAB mode no problem, but in ACRO mode it's just way to twitchy. I have tried reducing my RC rates, but doesn't help all that much. Can you make a video on how you set yours up and tips on how to fly them?

      I came so close to getting a Beta65X, but Nick said to hold off and wait, and so I ordered the Modula 7 instead. The 65X is just the right size, in my opinion. I already have a UR65 so going with the larger size of the Modula seemed for me to be a good choice and the readily adjustable camera angle sold me on it. Hope you have some great flying, I won't get mine for a few weeks...

    Really concise review Nick! Nice job! 😁😎🤘 Going to the link for the BetaFPV75 it shows it for $139.99 and I couldn't find it anywhere for $129.99. Just letting you know....
    I bought the Makerfire Armour 67 on a great deal long ago. It runs on 2S, with the Frequent Flyer having great success with it on 3S! I smelled something when I initially tried 3S inside, so I stopped and never went back.
    It has 1103/10,000kv motors. I'm not sure it's 38mm props, being bull nose, are the best for performane for it.
    Do you think it would be a worthwhile attempt to clip the 4 blade 40mm props for the Mobula7 and Beta75x, and try those? 🤔
    I like that it has its carbon fiber frame... Seems indestructible! 👍
    How do you think the Armour67 compares to these in this comparison?

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  6 лет назад

      dang, go to all that trouble and the price changed? Face palm.
      Just a guess on props. I think the new props are going to be more effcient but have less thrust, it might also impact the "grip", might have to pump up p a bit on the tune. I also had the armour 67, they hit me up the other day to review it. Lol, they could have search for their product and found I had done a review. Did you put a canopy on it?

      @@NickBurnsFPV... No canopy yet, but since my factory 3d printer camera mount broke, I was thinking about it. It's bately hanging in there!
      Do you think it flies good when compared to these?
      Do you have a canopy you'd suggest or like?
      Thanks Nick!
      Also:
      Are you watching the baseball playoffs?
      Milwaukee's manager announced a starting pitcher before the game, like normal. Then he pitched him for one batter and replaced him with a starter that throws from the other side! Lol Kinda like Tampa Bay would do, but for other reasons. Milwaukee just did it to mess with the Dogdgers (spelling correct! Lol), so they'd stack their lineup to with hitters from the opposite side of the arm of the pitcher. Right handed hitters for a lefty, and vice versa...you know. 😉
      Tampa Bay would pitch a 98mph flame thrower for an inning or usually two then put in the long guy, or a starter, so as to shut down the opponent the first two innings and then after they've seen the flame thrower once through the lineup, put in another type of pitcher to give them a completely other look. Pretty smart, actually. They loaded their 25 with pitchers and few bench players.
      Think about it... Typically, the 2nd or mostly 3rd time through the line up the hitters are getting more used to the starter and get more hits. This way, they don't get used to the flamer, and he's replaced... Then the long guy maybe gets into the 7th or 8th if he's done well, before they get 3 times through. Then they put in either their closer, if they're ahead of course, or another different looking reliever, if behind. Kind of a neat idea! What do you think?
      How about Milwaukee 's sneaky way? Definitely some gamesmanship going on with that move! Pretty ballsy pulling the starter after just one hitter! Lol😜🙄

      I would only be venturing a guess to the flight characteristics on the armor67 as it was so long ago. I believe it to be much more difficult to fly inside, probably due to weight. The mobula 7 is really hard to match.

    Nick, I love your content but lumping the 65X in with the 75X is a huge oversight in my opinion, also remember that most people are ordering the 75X with an Xt-30 and a 2S battery which you don’t really even address in the comparison. Furthermore in my experience the 65X doesn’t experience the washout issues I’m on stock tune and mine flies great... My Mobula7 is on pre- order so I can t compare it yet myself but again IMO you can’t just lump the 65X and 75X together.

If you want it a little more punchy for outside racing run 3s. 4 blades always wash out waaay more, you get the punch but the wash sucks. EVL_FPV

      No problem! Also stock batteries are the worst with betas. For some reason I have little to no sag on batteries with the extra cable sticking out. If you take the plastic off the batteries see the then metal that tends to be a power choke point. I exclusively run betas and have tried ever battery and every prop. try flying with the batteries with the little extra cable. I know there weight Nazis out there but so far they have proven to be the best. If your runnin the Beta75 and beta85 makerfire with the extra cable will give you the best performance.
