  • Whilst renovating the stairs and landing I needed to replace a piece of skirting board that didn't match the other pieces. In this video I show how I did this with a spindle moulder or shaper.

I am really lucky to have a decent size workshop and I could play on a spindle moulder all day long.
Thanks for watching Pat hope you're keeping well 👍🏼

I would hope after 22 years in the trade I would have some idea of what I'm doing 😂 I see some videos and people are blagging it which is sometimes dangerous when working with tools and machinery.
      Thanks for watching 👍🏼

@@spendtimesavemoneydiy Yeah, I once saw a channel by an Indian or Phillipino carpenter laying a floor, and even the demo - supposedly his best work, was completely appalling - loads of gaps, not even. But what I like about watching a pro is that they know the most efficient way to work too. Little tricks like how to hold or clamp a piece, times that you can get away with something or when to spend the time or money. Anyway, you take care buddy!

Actually matching old mouldings with a spindle moulder is my favourite type of work. I like the challenge of a really intricate moulding.
