In the midst of the 1970's emerged the bands now legendary as Glam Rockers. SWEET, not satisfied with being one of the pack, slapped on the paint and went out of their way to become more outrageous.
SWEET had 15 Top 40 hits in the UK alone and went on to sell well over 20 million units worldwide. They achieved 3 Top 40 singles in 1971 with Funny, Funny, Co-Co and Alexander Graham Bell followed by 3 more hits in 1972 with Poppa Joe, Little Willy and Wig Wam Bam and finally the coveted #1 slot in January 1973 with Blockbuster!
This DVD brings together all of SWEET'S Greatest Hits and includes rare performances of their self-penned heavier tracks as well as bonus material from the original 16mm films that SWEET recorded to promote their singles worldwide. With official endorsement from the entire band, this is the definitive SWEET package.
Absolutely love sweet.. brian was gorgeous,
I love the smile on their face singing this song!
A very talented but seriously underrated band. Other bands tried to copy their style but fell way short. I'm a product of the 60's but came of age during the early 70's & sweet was a favorite band of mine.
@@verenaschmidt4016 danke Dir liebe Verena. 💞
I love this song!!!! Goes great with Brian's voice!!! Who said he couldn't sing???? He's fun
Each band member had great talent, & awesome voices! Awesome performers! Brian's voice was one of a kind, & Steve was a great show man! I loved him in the Wig Wam Bam video! Andy's voice was so beautiful in Lady Starlight. It touches me every time I hear it! Mick was an excellent drummer & anyone could see he was having fun! He was so underrated! I love watching him play in these old videos. One of the best drummers out of England! I grew up listening to The Sweet, & have always been a fan. I wish Brian & Mick could still be with us! A lot if people didn't take this band seriously but they sang great songs with unforgettable melodies! Without Sweet, there'd be no Kiss! Many successful bands were influenced by Sweet!
Brian was the front man & when he left , the band was never the same .
Ez így igaz. ❤😊
@sweetladystarlight Same goes for Brian....when he left SWEET he was never the same....his solo career went down the drain rapidly....
Co Co a brilliant song.
Poot Brian putting it all out there dead serious the rest of them giggling...aaaa!!
Brian always respected the audience, can't say the same for the two guitarists, they were always hamming ut up, especially Steve Priest.
Самая завораживающая рок группа ,которая с первого раза ,приковывает и притягивает свои взгляды .👍👱🧑🧑🧑👏👑🎸🌟💯👁️💐
Andy as much as I dislike u for supposed hurts directed at Brian, I do respect your depth of knowledge and caring about the Sweet and their music. Thank you.

They were laughing, they were a seriously talented band and knew this bubblegum pop song which they probably thought was absurd was to make them money, which it did. It wasn't really what they were all about though.
