    This interview was extremely difficult to watch. The woman interviewing Brian Connelly shot out a lot of questions to Brian. He was weak and slowly recovering, but he did an amazing job of answering the questions and performing after the vicious attack he sustained by greedy thugs and the multiple heart attacks he suffered. RIP Brian Connelly. Thank you so much for sharing your stunning, beautiful voice with us!

    • @marat_elektrichka
      @marat_elektrichka 8 месяцев назад

      @@Mary...22-u9jit's amazing to live in a place like that, 'cause this man is liar: in the USSR, anyone who wanted to get their records could do it, and all you had to do was just want to. I have a huge collection of recordings of such bands as Sweet, Grand Funk, Slade, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen and others, obtained in the USSR, recorded on a tape recorder from imported vinyl or from the radio. There would be a desire, and it would not be so difficult to get records - no more difficult than buying a good record these days, even in the West. So what kind of KGB prevented him from getting them is a great mystery.

    What a touching interview. Brian always seemed very genuine and unbothered by fame and fortune. Clearly, he had some demons and grog was the big one. I still think what The Sweet brought as a band and also as individual artists (harmony etc) was just untouched by others. You read so much about all the squabbles and disagreements with my fellow Aussie Mike Chapman (and NC) but at the end of the day what they all brought together is timeless and the best of breed. Others - say like Queen - copied and tried to improve but The Sweet was one of a kind and deserves far more recognition for the influence on rock and pop. But back to Brian here; clearly a man in decline but determined to keep playing and singing. Rest in peace Brian and Mick and Steve. Rock on Andy. All class fellas. Thank you.

    I've had four heart attacks, two at age 38 and I'm 60 now, so I know how it can kick your ass. I had a five way bypass in 2002, an I recovered and went back to work like nothing happened, but the 2020 heart attack I have never been the same. What an incredible singer and sad end, he still had the pipes but you can tell it took more energy. RIP Brian, ill keep telling the world how great the sweet was, you'll never be forgotten.

    I saw him interviewed just a few weeks before he died and he was so humble and friendly, not big headed about the success he'd had.
    A young singer with bright blond hair was on the show, and Brian was saying with an ironic tone that his hair used to be as blond as that!
    One of the best front men in rock, great singer (much better than here because he's ill), and a genuinely nice bloke, the latter being more important than any star quality.

      What was painful was to watch him coming out of the pub and staggering down the street everytime I went to the shops. He came to Uxbridge to drink - and from open to close because he was banned in the pubs in Berks. Everyone in Uxbridge knew him. I never approached him because I don't have much tolerance AT ALL for a drunk man. I used to see him around town a lot and it really was sad because he had SO much potential. The booze did him in in the end.
